PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (December 2, 2017) – Professional boxing returned to The Strand Ballroom and Theatre in Providence last night, December 1 prvýkrát v 20 leta and popular Providence featherweight Toka “T-Nice” Kahn Clary didn’t disappoint the large, raucous crowd.
Kahn-Clary (24-1, 16 KO) turned in a dominant performance, winning by way of a seventh-round technical knockout, over previously undefeated Filipino slugger John Vincent Moralde (19-1, 10 KO), the WBC Asian featherweight titlist, zachytiť voľné World Boxing Rady (WBC) USNBC featherweight championship.

The 25-year-old Kahn-Clary, who won the North American Boxing Association (Tiež) title in his last fight, used a stiff jab and solid defense to frustrate his opponent early in the fight, setting the pace to take a decisive scoring advantage.
Toka-Kahn came out firing in the fourth round, applying more pressure to take full command, and he never let up. Rapid fire punches by Toka-Kahn, thrown from all angles, repeatedly landed on his overmatched opponent. By the end of round seven it was clear that the end was near for Moralde and it came suddenly when Moralde couldn’t continue anymore.

It was very important to build his fanbase at home in Providence and we look forward to promoting here in the near future.”

The American debut of undefeated Italian cruiserweight Fabio “Stone Crusher” Turchi (13-0, 11 KO) was a clinic in last night’s co-featured event against Demetrius Banks (9-4, 4 KO), Detroit. Turchi patiently applied constant pressure, methodically breaking down the game Banks and hurting his opponent with a flurry of punches in the third round. The end came when Banks failed to answer the bell for round five.

“I felt the heat from the Italian-American fans and I thank them for helping me sustain. I also want to thank The Real Deal Boxing. My next fight will be Február 2 at home in Florence, for the European Union title.”
In the CBSSN televised opener, red-hot featherweight prospect made Irvin Gonzalez(8-0, 7 KO) made the most of his national TV debut, switching freely from orthodox stance to southpaw and back throughout the fight, en route to a sensational third-round knockout of Colombian knockout artist Marlon Olea (13-2, 12 KO). The lightning-quick Gonzalez, z Worcesteru, MA, consistently beat his opponent to the punch, and finished off Olea with a straight right to the body to keep his perfect pro record intact. Olea was fighting in the U.S. prvýkrát.

Jessica McCaskill Gets Her Wish to Face Katie Taylor: Social Media Challenges Turn to Women’s Super Fight on December 13 v Londýne

Christmas comes a little early this year for hard-punching Warriors Boxing lightweight Jessica ‘CasKILLA’ McCaskill.

All year, she and manager/trainer Rick Ramos have been expressing their wish, via social media, to face Irish gold medalist turned professional world champion Katie Taylor.
Na Streda, December 13, they will get their wish, as Chicago-based McCaskill (5-1, 3 KO) will challenge Taylor (7-0, 4 KO) for her WBA Lightweight Championship at York Hall in London, Anglicko, and live before a massive audience on Sky Sports.
“I’m relieved. I’ve been working toward this fight for a long time,” said McCaskill, hodnotené #2 in the world at 135 lbs and #1 in the United States in women’s boxing. “We have been training for this fight since my last fight because we knew it was coming and we’ve definitely bumped up the intensity.”
Before turning professional a year ago, the popular Taylor, from Bray, won lightweight gold at the 2012 London Olympics, as well as an impressive assortment of world and European amateur championships. Known as the Irish athlete of her entire generation, Taylor is regarded as a superstar in the UK because of her aggressive and crowd-pleasing style.
“I’ve never watched a full fight of hers,” professed McCaskill. “I’ve seen some highlights. I see mistakes she makes, but it’s not so much what I see in her. It’s what I see in all her opponents. They’ve all been scared of her. I am not. You won’t see any fear in me. Everybody else was terrified to engage her. They just showed up. I’ll be fighting to the last bell.”
Much of the credit for landing the fight must go to Ramos, who doggedly pursued Taylor and her promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, on social media.
“I felt like offended about comments Katie and Eddie made about how no one wants to fight her,” explained Ramos. “I remember thinking, ‘well, NO ONE called Jessica. We would love to fight Katie!’ That kind of started everything. Eddie Hearn finally did contact me via Instagram and things started getting real. I was happy that my social-media tactic worked!”
McCaskill, who also works full-time in Regulatory and Reporting at R.J. O’Brien & Associates investment bank in Chicago, says she’s not intimidated about stepping into Taylor’s home field for this fight. Vlastne, she’s expecting a number of her fans to be there as well.
“It’s funny because of my job and my previous investment banking job, I have a lot of contacts and friends over there who are excited to show up for me. My company I work for has a branch that is three miles from the venue. I’ll be expecting a lot of fans there for me as well that night. COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO (November 30, 2017) – Team USA women’s boxing hopefuls will be competing in the prestigious USA Women’s Elite National Championships, December 5-9, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This year’s field is stacked with talent, počítajúc v to 2016 Olympic Trials Champion Virginia Fuchs (Kemah, Texas), who will be looking to close out an impressive 2017 year that included four international titles and an undefeated 16-0 záznam, and two-time World Champion and 2014 Youth Olympic Champion Jajaira Gonzalez (Fontána, Colo.)
Other top contenders include featherweight Christina Cruz (New York, New York), ľahká váha Rashida Ellis (Lynn, MA), as well as middleweight Naomi Graham (Colorado Springs, CO) a welterweight Oshae Jones (Toledo, Ohio)
Following a year of highly-competitive national events, the best U.S. female amateur boxers are set to compete in the 2017 USA Boxing Elite National Championship. With up to six spots in each division already secured, based on the results of the 2016 Elite National Championships, 2017 Elite Western Qualifier and 2017 Elite Eastern Qualifier, the remaining spots have been filled based on the wild-card application process to complete the field of elite boxers.
A total of 88 boxers applied for a wild card qualification with 35 allocations awarded to finalize the Elite National Championships brackets.
“With this being the first year of the new elite athlete selection process, we are excited to see the top talent in the country compete to represent Team USA in 2018,” povedal Matt Johnson, USA Boxing High Performance Director. “We are looking forward to a high level of competition during these championships, and are confident that the increased competitiveness at the national stage will translate to further improvement of USA’s performance internationally on the road to Tokyo in 2020.”

Perrella to face Martin December 8 na FS1

Fort Myers, FL (November 30, 2017) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella returns to the ring against Alex “Chi Town Heat” Martin Piatok, December 8 at Hialeah Park in Miami, FL.
The Perrella-Martin showdown is scheduled for 10 rounds and airs on FS1 at 9 PM ET as part of Premier Boxing Champions’ “PBC on FS1” séria. The bout proceeds a light heavyweight matchup between former world champion Jean Pascal and unbeaten Ahmed Elbiali.
Fighting for the first time since a disappointing setback against Yordenis Ugas in September 2016, Perrella’s an outstanding 14-1 s 13 vyhrá knockout. The Fort Myers native has impressive stoppage victories over David Grayton (14-0), Ramon Ayala (25-5-1), Abraham Alvarez (20-8-1) and Patrick Boozer (11-3). A self-described gym rat, the 28-year-old has spent the last year fine-tuning his skills while also allowing a lingering injury to heal.
Living and fighting out of Chicago, IL, Martin is 13-2 as a pro and has 5 victories via knockout. V 2016, he scored a career best win by outpointing Juan Carlos Abreu (19-2-1) cez osem kôl. Training is great so far and we’ve traveled throughout Florida to work with some awesome fighters. I will be fully prepared for December 8 and plan to show everybody that my last fight was a fluke.”

“You’re going to see the same Errol Spence that you’re used to. I can’t look ahead because I know how dangerous Lamont Peterson is. I’ve been in training camps with him and I know what he can do.

“I used to watch Lamont and his brother Anthony Peterson before I ever met them. I like their styles, the way they throw body punches and the fundamentals that they learned from Barry Hunter.
“I think I can be known as the best pound-for-pound in the sport, but I have to take it one fight at a time. I want to be the undisputed welterweight champion. That should be everyone’s ultimate goal – to be the best fighter in the sport. But first I have a big test ahead of me Január 20.
“This is the business of the sport. I was a young guy when Lamont was giving me advice. Now we’ve gotten to this point. It really shows his longevity in the sport and how I’ve reached the ranks of being a top pro fighter.

“As a top fighter, you’re obligated to take what comes on the table. Regardless of who it is. It’s boxing. It’s a sport and we’re competitors. We want to go in there and compete to see who’s the best. We’re going to treat it like business like we always do.

“We have a game plan in place. We’ll try to perfect everything leading up to this one. We’re working on making Errol a more complete fighter every time out. He’ll be better than he was when you saw him against Brook.

Tento piatok noc, Brandon Robinson a Christopher Brooker sa stretávajú ako profesionáli v niečom, čo by mohlo vyústiť do výbušného spoločného hraného súboja. 12 bojová karta na

Hlavné podujatie bude jamy Tyrone Brunson (25-6-2, 23 KO) proti Manny Woods (16-6-1, 6 KO) Petrohradu, Florida v zápase juniorskej strednej váhy naplánovanom na desať kôl.
“Školenie bolo skvelé. Toto bol najlepší tábor, ktorý som mal odkedy som sa vzdal profesionálov,” povedal Robinson.
Aj keď by to mohol byť prelomový boj 29 ročný Robinson, Pozeral sa na Brookera v ničom inom ako na ktoréhokoľvek predchádzajúceho nepriateľa.
“Na každý súboj sa pozerám ako na veľký boj. Vidím každý zápas, ako keby som bojoval s Canelom alebo Golovkinom, tak sa dostanem do najlepšej formy, v akej môžem byť.”
Na to, že sú v rovnakom meste, medzi týmito dvoma bojovníkmi je už spomínaná história.
“Bojovali sme ako amatéri, a ten boj som vyhral. Keďže, párkrát sme sa pohádali, a to mi dalo skvelú správu o ňom, a povedzme, že sa cítim veľmi pohodlne ísť do tohto boja.”
Boj proti inému bojovníkovi Philly nie je pre Robinsona ničím novým, pretože už vyhral nad Lamontom McLaughlinom.
“Prešiel som tým, a tieto druhy bojov prinášajú zo mňa to najlepšie, a s výhrouv piatok, toto mi otvorí veľa dverí, o ktorých som nikdy nečakal, že sa otvoria. Hľadám kompletný výkon, Fanúšikovia uvidia silu v oboch rukách, prefíkanosť, ring generalship a obrovské srdce. Chcem sa poďakovať spoločnosti King's Promotions, a chcem si odniesť domov titul UBF All-Americas Super Middleweight.”
Pre 26 ročný Brooker, už tu bol, ale chce sa dostať späť do stĺpca víťazstiev po prehre s neporazeným Ahmedom Elbialim v poloťažkej váhe v zápase, v ktorom sa krátko na to 18. júla.
“Hneď po tom boji som sa vrátil do telocvične. Pracoval som pre 12 týždňov. Mám nového osobného trénera Jermaina Clarka a môjho nového trénera Octavia Pinedu,” povedal Brooker.
Brooker neverí, že amatérska prehra s Robinsonom znamená niečo, čo by sa mohlo stať piatkovým večerom.
“Áno, nič to neznamená. Bol to môj tretí amatérsky zápas. Sparingy boli dobré. Správal som sa k nim, akoby som sa chcel pomstiť za to, že som s ním prehral, a po týchto sedeniach som si veľmi istý. Tento boj je pre mňa o získaní tohto opasku . Ľudia uvidia, ako ho prekonám a predbehnem.”
Brooker si urobil meno v boxerských kruhoch svojou ochotou bojovať a poraziť kohokoľvek a kedykoľvek. Svedčia o tom jeho výhry nad Leom Hallom, John Magda, Antowyan Aikens a Gabriel Pham. Brooker sa postavil aj proti Elbialimu, Ronald Gavril a Ronald Ellis, a stal sa obľúbeným v národnej televízii kvôli svojmu tvrdému štýlu.
“Robinson je len ďalší chlapík predo mnou. Bol som tam a porazil som oveľa skúsenejších borcov ako on. Nemá nič, čo som v ringu nevidel. Nepozerám sa za neho, Pozerám sa cez neho. Porazil som Gavrila predtým, ako bol boj nespravodlivo zastavený. V boji o titul majstra sveta sotva prehral a teraz s ním čaká odveta, takže to len ukazuje, na akej úrovni som. Chcem tú odvetu resp (Šampión WBC) Dávid Benevidez.”

NEW YORK - November 29, 2017 – SHOWTIME Sports will live stream a world-class boxing event – including two world championship bouts – free to the U.S. audience on social media platforms Sobota, December 9 to close out the network’s industry-leading 2017 boxing schedule. The digital-only offering will be exclusive in the U.S. on the SHOWTIME Sports YouTube channel and the SHOWTIME Boxing Facebook page.

IBF Super strednej majster sveta James DeGale (23-1-1, 14 KO) will headline as he defends his title against former world title challenger Caleb Truax (28-3-2, 18 KO) in DeGale’s first fight since a thrilling bout with Badou Jack in a 168-pound world championship unification match last January on SHOWTIME.

In the streaming co-feature, IBF Featherweight World Champion Lee Selby (20-1, 9 KO) will take on undefeated contender Eduardo Ramirez (20-0-3, 7 KO), while undefeated light heavyweight Anthony Yarde (13-0, 12 KO) will face former world title challenger Nikola Sjekloca (32-4-1, 11 KO). The opening fight of the live stream will feature the U.S. introduction to 20-year-old undefeated heavyweight Daniel Dubois (5-0, 5 KO) as he takes on former Anthony Joshua foe Dorian Darch (12-5-1, 1 KO).

Live coverage, provided by BoxNation and BT Sport, will begin at approximately 2:50 p.m. A/11:50 a.m. PT with U.K. sportscasters John Rawling and Richie Woodhall calling all the action.

SHOWTIME is the only network to offer live streaming coverage of boxing on social media platforms in the U.S., having first done so in 2016 with the presentation of two heavyweight world championship bouts live on YouTube.
