Dmitriy Salita dari Salita Promotions dengan bangga mengumumkan penandatanganan prospek kelas menengah super Rusia Aslambek Idigov (digambarkan di kiri) untuk kontrak promosi.

 

 

 

Idigov yang tak terkalahkan (13-0, 5 Biaya) berasal dari Grozny, Rusia, tapi saat ini berlatih di Detroit dengan Javan SugarHill Steward di Kronk Gym. “I fought hard but didn’t get victory tonight,” said Satybaldinova. “Next time I will win. I will continue to work harder to fight the best. I will never give up. I hope to fight Selina again in rematch.”

In a back-and-forth six-round lightweight battle, Coral Springs, Florida’s Dustin Arnold (5-1, 1 KO) won a closely contested unanimous decision over Miami’s Daniel Placeres (saat ini (6-1, 5 Biaya).

An exciting and accomplished fighter from Florida, Berto returns to the ring after dropping a contest last April to Shawn Porter. Berto represented Haiti in the 2004 Olympics and picked up his biggest recent triumph on FOX in April 2016 as Berto scored a fourth-round knockout of former champion Victor Ortiz in their high-octane rematch.

 

 

 

Berto previously challenged retired legend Floyd Mayweather in September 2015 and has engaged in numerous Fight of the Year-worthy bouts, termasuk 2012 war with Robert Guerrero and his first fight with Ortiz. He has twice held a welterweight title, first the WBC belt, which he successfully defended five times between 2008 dan 2011, plus the IBF crown he picked up in 2011 with a victory over Jan Zaveck.

The 31-year-old emerged onto the scene with a unanimous decision victory over Randall Bailey to add the welterweight crown to the 140-pound title he had won three years prior. “I’m excited to be back at home in New York in front of my fans and people I love so dearly,” Quillin kata. “I’m coming back more polished and more seasoned and a man of God. WBO News: Wilfredo Gómez crowned ‘Honorific Champion’ of the World Boxing Organization

In a crowed activity held in Arecibo, Organisasi Tinju Dunia (WBO), with the collaboration of former world champion Samuel ‘El Torbellino’ Serrano, brought together several former Puerto Rican world champions along with currents boxers to recognize the trajectory of former three-division world champion Wilfredo ‘Bazooka’ Gómez.

 

 

 

“Had the WBO existed in the Gómez era, he would have been our champion. But we still celebrate him because of his legacy in the ring and his great humility as a person. This belt that we preset to him today names him a WBO ‘Honorific Champion of Champions’, yet it is only a small sample of the affection and admiration that we have for him,” said WBO president Francisco ‘Paco’ Valcárcel.

 

 

 

An excited Gomez said that “I thank with the WBO and Paco for their support and recognition on this day. Terima kasih banyak. I am very happy with everyone who is here.”

Gómez won the gold medal in the first amateur world championships, held in Havana in 1974. He then jumped to the professional ranks and won world titles at 122, 126 dan 130 pon.
