BJ GARCEAU WILL RETURN TO THE CAGE AT NEF 45 AGAINST HAYLEY MARTIN

LEHDISTÖTIEDOTE: Portland, Maine (Lokakuu 7, 2021) - New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) tapahtuma, "NEF 45: Uprising,” on Friday, Marraskuu 5, 2021, at Aura in Portland, Maine. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur women’s strawweight bout to the fight card.BJ Garceau tapaaHayley Martin at a fight weight of 115 kiloa.

The fight will see Garceau (1-1) return to the NEF cage after a three-year absence. She made her debut at “NEF 32” in February 2018 with a split decision win over Sarah Ziehm (1-2).  Garceau then lost via technical knockout to Chelsea Tucker (3-3) in the third round of their bout at “NEF 36” in the fall of that year. She had been scheduled to make her return to action at “NEF 43” in 2020 kunnes COVID-19-pandemia pakotti tapahtuman lykkäämään. Garceau edustaa Youngin Bangorin MMA:ta, Maine.

Olen kiitollinen mahdollisuudesta ja rehellisesti se olisi voinut olla kuka tahansa, joka seisoi minua vastapäätä tässä vaiheessa. Olen iloinen voidessani hylätä Hayleyn, ja lupaan etten petä ketään tuossa häkissä!  Sanoisin enemmän, mutta minun on mentävä junaan. Tehdään tämä!"

Hayley Martin tekee häkissä debyyttinsä taistelussa Garceaun kanssa NEF 45 -tapahtumassa – vain muutaman viikon kuluttua hänen juhlimisestaan 50th syntymäpäivä. Martin on itsenäinen taistelija, jonka unelma on ollut aktiivisesti kilpailla MMA: ssa.

- Olen innoissani astumasta häkkiin, testaa taitojani ja näytä, miltä kova työ ja omistautuminen näyttää,"Sanoi Martin.  ”Olen tällä matkalla, koska en ole koskaan tuntenut mitään, mikä saa minut tuntemaan oloni elävämmäksi, vahva ja itsevarma. Ja kun se hetki tapahtuu 5. marraskuuta, Jätän kaiken häkkiin ja taistelen perseestäni jokaisen naisen puolesta, jonka mielestä unelmat eivät voi toteutua."

BJ Garceau will enter the NEF cage for the third and final time on April 18. Garceau, who was diagnosed with Type-1 juvenile diabetes in 1993, made headlines with her amateur debut and became an inspiration to many. She defeated Sarah Ziehm (1-2) via split decision at “NEF 32” in February 2018. Garceau returned to the cage later that year, losing to Chelsea Tucker (3-3) in the third round of an “NEF 36” contest. Garceau is a product of Young’s MMA based in Bangor, Maine

“I’m so excited to be back in the cage in my hometown, for what will be my final fight this April,” said Garceau.  “I want to be able to leave my old stomping grounds with my hand held high at the end and walk away with a win for my fans, ystävät, perhe, valmentajat, team and myself. Fatima Kline will make the trek from her home in Hyde Park, New York for the fight. At just 19-years-old, Kline already holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She made her amateur MMA debut last fall with a unanimous decision win on a card in White Plains, New York. Kline represents Black Hole Jiu-Jitsu based in Wappingers Falls, New York.

“I would like to thank NEF for giving me the opportunity to showcase all of my hard work,” said Kline when reached for comment. “Being that this is my debut fight for the organization, I promise to be at the top of my game come fight night. Kiitos, BJ, for accepting this matchup, and I look forward to seeing you in the cage. The one message I would have for the crowd is: be prepared to be entertained.”

NEF RETURNS TO LEWISTON ON SUPER BOWL WEEKEND WITH AN MMA SUPER CARD

Lewiston, Maine (Tammikuu 19, 2018) – The night before the National Football League (NFL) delivers its 2017-2018 season finale, New England Taistelee (NEF) will return to the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston for the first time in eight months as the fight promotion presents “NEF 32: Super Lauantai.” And while New England football fans will have to wait until this Sunday’s AFC championship game to find out whether their beloved Patriots will play in the Super Bowl, area mixed-martial-arts fans learned today which of their favorites will compete at “NEF 32” as promotion executives released the full fight card for the 3. helmikuuta tapahtuma.

Also in professional welterweight action will be Mikrofoni “Viikset” Hansen (5-8) ja Jesse “Viking” Erickson (9-7) in a fight billed as “The Berserker vs. The Viking.” Hansen and Erickson have developed a rivalry as coaches of local gyms Berserkers MMA and Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ), vastaavasti.

 

 

Speaking of which, Nate Boucher (2-1), a product of CMBJJ, ja Ryan Burgess (2-2) of Berserkers MMA will headline the amateur portion of the fight card. The flyweights, former teammates on the Mountain Valley High School wrestling squad, have engaged in a recent war of words heading into the bout. The winner will be in line for a shot at the amateur flyweight title later this spring.

 

 

2017 NEF “Vuoden tulokas” Jayda “Lil Killah” Linnanpiha (1-0) returns to the cage on 3. helmikuuta to meet Florida’s Amanda Gallo (0-1). Bailey made history in November at “NEF 31” by becoming the youngest competitor ever to compete, (and win), in NEF häkissä. She turned 18, the legal age for competing in MMA in Maine, just a week prior to the event.
