Four fights added to solid M-1 Challenge 72 card principal

PETERSBURG, Rusia (Novembro 3, 2016) – The M-1 Challenge 72 main card is set with the recent announcement of four interesting bouts, headlined by M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko‘s title defense against former title-holder Murad “Cazador” Abduleav, Novembro 18 en Moscova, Rusia.

In addition to the rematch between Kunchenko (14-0-0, M-1: 6-0-0) and Abdulaev (15-4-0, M-1: 3-1-0), the lightweight fight between former champion Artiom Damkovsky e Alexey “Tarefa” Makhno had already been announced by M-1 Global.
Undefeated Russian middleweight Artem Frolov (7-0-0, M-1: 4-0-0), a strong striker and Combat Sambo master, faces American opponent Luigi “The Tank italiano” Fiorvanti (26-14-0, M-1: 4-3-0) battle with future title fight implications on the line for the winner.
Frolov is coming off a three-round unanimous decision over Rafael Xavier en M-1 Desafío 70, while Fiorvanti is considered a good all-around fighter who is a former M-1 Challenge middleweight title challenger.
In a featherweight bout, fully recovered Kurbaneli Abdusalamor (6-2-0, M-1: 4-0-0) faces fellow Russian Timur Nagibin (7-2-0, M-1: 3-1-0). Abdusalamov has won four fights in a row, including his last 13 months ago against American Lee Morrison, which ended in a 3-round majority decision for the Russian fighter before he was sidelined with injuries.
Leve Damir Ismagulov (8-2-0, M-1: 4-1-0), a native of Kazakhstan fighting out of Russia, meets Brazilian Rubenilton “Rubinho” Pereira (16-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0). ST. PETERSBURG, Rusia (Outubro 19, 2016) – M-1 Global has announced a rematch between M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko e ex-campión Murad “Cazador” Abduleav will headline the November 18th M-1 Desafío 72 en Moscova, Rusia.

Also announced was a lightweight battle between former champion Artiom Damkovsky e Alexey “Tarefa” Makhno.
Kunchenko (14-0-0, M-1: 6-0-0), fighting out of Tyumen, Rusia, will be making his first title defense. He defeated defending champion Abdulaev, who was unable to continue in round four of their fight this past April at M-1 Desafío 65.
Abdulaev (15-4-0, M-1: 3-2-0), fighting out of Anapa, Rusia, originally captured the M-1 Challenge welterweight title at M-1 Desafío 58, tomar unha decisión de Marcello Britoen xuño 6, 2015 for the vacant title.

Damkovsky (21-10-0, M-1: 11-7-0), fighting out of Minsk, Bielorrusia, has a crowd pleasing style. His last fight resulted in a kick-knockout victory (see picture below) de Maxim Divnich this past September at M-1 Desafío 70.
 A native of Moscow, 26-year-old Makhno (13-4-0, M-1: 3-1-0) is a superior kicker and strong striker. Na súa última loita, this past June at M-1 Desafío 68, Makhno won a decision over Felipo Rego (see picture below).

A native of Ukraine fighting out of St. Petersburg, Vitruk (12-2-0, M-1: 6-2-0) is coming off back-to-back losses to American Lee Morrison by decision at M-1 Desafío 55 e Max COGA by third-round decision at M-1 Desafío 58. Representing the famed Alexander Nevsky Club in St. Petersburg, Vitruk has a strong Muay Thai foundation. After fighting exclusively as a featherweight, Vitruk has decided to drop down one weight class and compete as a bantamweight.

The 26-year-old Morozov (4-0-0, M-1: 2-0-0) is coming off a pair of impressive second-round stoppages via punches over Andy Mozo no M-1 Challenge 59 e Rijitigala Amuen M-1 Desafío 53. The Kazakh is a hot bantamweight prospect who is equally comfortable on his feet or on the ground.

The winner of Vitruk vs. Morozov will advance to fight the victor from a soon-to-be announced second title eliminator for the vacant M-1 Challenge bantamweight title.
