Yunusov stops Salinas in seven to remain undefeated

Bethlehem, PA (Nëntor 18, 2018) —This past Friday night, Three-time Olympian Anvar Yunusov remained perfect by stopping Jose Salinas in the 7th round of their scheduled eight-round junior lightweight bout the headlined a nine-bout card at

Bethlehem Event Qendra Sands.

 

 

 

The show was promoted by King’s Promotions.

 

 

 

Yunusov, who competed in the 2008, 2012 dhe 2016 Olympics for his native country Tajikistan, dominated the action, and finally broke Salinas down in the 7th frame.

Joseph George took a six-round unanimous decision from Josue Obando in a light heavyweight bout.

 

 

 

George of Houston is now 8-0. Obando of Mexico gave a good effort, but is now 16-25-1.

Good looking bantamweight prospect Yeuri Andujar made it two straight stoppage victories with a 1st round stoppage over debuting Haziz Self of Philadelphia.

 

 

 

Andujar of Reading, PA is 2-0 with both wins coming early.

 

 

 

In a fight heavyweight contest featuring previously undefeated light heavyweight, Travis Toledo took an entertaining four-round majority decision over Kendall Cannida.

 

 

 

Both guys had their moments in the spirited brawl, but it was Toledo who came away with the victory to raise his mark to 3-0. Cannida of Philadelphia drops to 2-1.

 

Vincent Floyd used two 1st round knockdowns to catapult himself to a four-round unanimous decision over Ricky Nuno in a welterweight clash.

 

 

 

Nuno made a great effort after the 1st round, but he dug himself too far of a hole to catch Floyd.

 

 

 

Floyd of Philadelphia is 4-5-1. Nuno of Bethlehem is 2-2.

“The Fighting Ring Announcer” Alex Barbosa came back after a nearly two-year layoff to win a four-round unanimous decision over Sergio Aguilar in a super bantamweight bout.

 

Barbosa of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 dhe 39-37 twice to raise his mark to 6-3-1. Aguilar of Homestead, Florida is 2-8.

 


 

Romuel Cruz bloodied the nose of Bryann Perez on his way to a four-round unanimous decision in a super bantamweight bout.

“I have had a great camp. I had tremendous sparring with (Former 2-time world champion) Kermit Cintron & undefeated Greg Outlaw. I have been getting better with each day,” tha 22 year-old Fox.

 

 

 

In Mercado, Fox is facing a fighter who is coming off his career best result, when he stopped previously undefeated Tyrone Crawley at the same venue on March 2nd

 

 

 

“Mercado is 5’11”, and he has been talking a lot on social media that he is ready for war. I saw his fight with Clarence Booth and his fight with Crawley. He likes to come forward, and I will be ready for that on Friday. Everyone knows that I can adapt to any style.”

 

 

 

This will be Mykal’s first fight in the “Fighting City” i Filadelfias, and Fox would like to indoctrinate himself to the enthusiastic fight crowd.

 

 

 

“I was supposed to fight in Philadelphia in September, but that card was changed. I am super excited to fight there. I want to impress. They are a knowledgeable fight crowd.”
