Kennedy (9-0, 5 KOs), fighting out of Galway, Ирландия, by way of Boston, battled Santos in a competitive, action-packed brawl to be awarded the N.E. title by scores of 96-93, 96-93, 93-96. The majority of fans in attendance, outside of Kennedy’s Irish supporters, and the ringside media felt that Santos, аз Лоуренс, MA, had the edge and deserved the decision.

The onslaught continued as referee Johnny Callas stepped in to stop the action in the third round.

“This was a good experience,” Williams said after the fight. “I enjoyed showcasing my skills and look forward to doing it again. I’m confident in my skills and did all of the hard work in the gym. I think I put on a good show for the fans.”
Вустер, MA super lightweight Irvin Gonzalez (1-0, 1 KO) made the most of his brief pro debut, dropping Gilvan Santos (0-3) with a sharp left on the chin only a minute into the opening round. Santos beat the count but damage had already been done and referee Eddie Claudio wisely waved off the fight.
