LAS VEGAS (Febrero. 17, 2018) – El ex campeón mundial de dos divisiones Danny García regresó con una venganza, noqueando a Brandon Rios en una eliminatoria por el título de peso welter del CMB en el evento principal de SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING Sábado en SHOWTIME desde el Mandalay Bay Events Center en Las Vegas.

“I trained a little bit different this time. I had way more time than the first fight to prepare. Last time was four weeks, this time I had a full 10 semanas. I have done a lot of rounds of sparring and a lot of work related to this fight.
“I learn after every fight. From the first fight against Benavidez, I learned even more because it was a tough, tight fight.
“His people tried to make him a superstar before he fought me. I don’t know what people said after the first fight, but they should wait until after the rematch. I’m the stronger fighter.
“The difference in this fight is going to be who boxes smarter. I feel I’m the smarter fighter because if I need to box, I box; if I need to put pressure, I put pressure. I can adapt.
“I think this is going to be the fight of the year. It’s going to be special. The fans should all come see this fight because it’s going to be amazing with two warriors.

Ugas vs.. Robinson inicia una tripleta de SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING a las 10 p.m. Y/7 p.m. PT que está encabezado por una batalla entre el campeón de dos divisiones Danny García teniendo al ex campeón del mundo Brandon Ríos en una eliminatoria por el título welter. El co-estelar verá campeón mundial de las 168 libras David Benavidez la defensa de su título en una revancha contra el top-clasificado contendiente de peso súper mediano Ronald Gavril.

Ugas (20-3, 9 KOs), quien nació en Cuba y ahora vive en Las Vegas, es uno de los boxeadores más activos en el deporte y una rápida elevador en la división welter. Después de perder una decisión unánime a Amir en Imam 2014, de 31 años de edad, Ugas tomó un año de licencia de boxeo y regresó en una lágrima. Durante un lapso de 12 meses a partir de agosto 2016 a agosto 2017, Ugas ganado cinco peleas consecutivas, golpeando de competidores superiores y las perspectivas incluyendo Jamal James, Bryant Perrella, Levan Ghvamichava, Thomas Dulorme y Nelson Lara, incluyendo múltiples victorias en asignaciones de corto plazo.

 

 

 

 

 

Robinson (24-2, 12 KOs) es el epítome de un luchador Filadelfia - un boxeador consumado que siempre viene a pelear y le gusta mantenerse ocupado. Ugas representará uno de los retos más difíciles de la carrera de Robinson. El jugador de 32 años de edad, zurdo peleó tres veces el año pasado y viene de una victoria por decisión técnica séptimo asalto sobre Breidis Prescott en Atlantic City el Junio 30.
