NEF RETURNS TO LEWISTON ON SUPER BOWL WEEKEND WITH AN MMA SUPER CARD

Lewiston, Meino (Sausis 19, 2018) – The night before the National Football League (NFL) delivers its 2017-2018 season finale, Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF) will return to the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston for the first time in eight months as the fight promotion presents “NEF 32: Super Šeštadienis.” And while New England football fans will have to wait until this Sunday’s AFC championship game to find out whether their beloved Patriots will play in the Super Bowl, area mixed-martial-arts fans learned today which of their favorites will compete at “NEF 32” as promotion executives released the full fight card for the February 3rd renginys.

Bailey made history in November at “NEF 31” by becoming the youngest competitor ever to compete, (and win), į NEF narve. After making his professional debut in the spring of 2016, Aaron Lacey rose quickly through the ranks of the NEF featherweight division. NEF SELLS-OUT AGAIN IN BANGOR AS LOCAL FIGHTERS SHINE IN THE CAGE

Bangoras, Meino (Rugpjūtis 6, 2017) –There was no place like home Šeštadienis night for C.J. Didelis ąsotis, Ryan Sanders and Fred Lear of Young’s MMA in Bangor.

Fighting in front of a sold-out ballroom a stone’s throw from their training headquarters, the three fighters atop the card at “NEF 30” Rumble in Bangor” all posted impressive victories at Cross Insurance Center.

Ewer defeated Mike “The Mustache” Hansen by submission at 1:46 of the first round to capture the vacant NEF pro middleweight title. Lear landed the NEF amateur bantamweight belt, while Sanders tightened his grip on New England’s pro lightweight scene in a non-title triumph.

It was the second consecutive August sellout in the Queen City, a tradition that began with “NEF Presents Dana White: Lookin’ For a Fight” last summer.

After his hard-fought win over the much-traveled Jay Ellis, NEF pro lightweight champion Sanders, užėmė Nr. 1 regione, kept his comments short and sweet while calling out the aforementioned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) prezidentas.

Lear highlighted the amateur portion of the card with an authoritative second-round knockout of Walt Shea.

Only the bell saved Shea from Lear’s onslaught at the end of the opening chapter. Lear gained the advantage with a kick to the head midway through that round. After nearly locking in an arm bar that could have ended the fight, Lear bloodied the previously unbeaten Shea with a series of strikes.

The end appeared inevitable when Shea needed Lear’s help to find his corner between rounds, and another interrupted attack hastened the finish only 14 vėliau sekundžių.

When the combatants regained their feet, Charles backed Jones against the cage and landed two right hands to the jaw. Jones dropped to one knee and absorbed a sharp left to the head. That persuaded the referee to step in and stop the fight, a verdict that left Jones and his First Class MMA camp visibly puzzled.

It was Charles’ second one-sided combat sports victory in a week’s time. He previously delivered a first-round TKO in the amateur boxing ring. Jones suffered his first defeat since making the transition from basketball, which he played professionally in Europe after starring at Bangor’s Husson University.

Goldsby will represent Lacey’s most-seasoned challenge to date. Lacey has been nothing short of “Nepaliaujamas” – his nickname – nes sukant pro. He has submitted three of his four opponents in the first round. Only John Santos (3-5) was able to survive three full rounds with Lacey last summer in Bangor. Lacey won that fight via split decision in a rugged, back-and-forth, “nakties kova” performance.

Rounding out the pro card will be another Young’s cornerstone, “The” Ryanas Sandersas (14-8), who will meet Milwaukee, Wisconsin veteran Jay Ellis (14-68) į Papildsvars konkursas. Sanders is the reigning NEF MMA Pro Lightweight Champion, having defeated Jon Lemke (6-8) in a tournament final last April to claim the title. The bout with Ellis will be a non-title affair. Opening the night will be a women’s fight between Angela Young (2-2), wife of Young’s MMA founder and head coach Chris Young, and Florida’s Jessica “The Black Widow” Borga (5-2). The scrap is expected to be an exciting one. Jaunas, a Registered Nurse at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC), has put on several “nakties kova” performances that have sent audiences into a frenzy. Borga will make her third trip to Maine in the past year to compete in the NEF cage.

Goldsby will be the most experienced fighter Bangor-area prospect Aaron Lacey has ever faced in the cage. Goldsby made his NEF debut earlier this month, not in the MMA cage but in the boxing ring. The August 5th bout will represent his return to the cage after more than a three year absence.

LACEY TO TAKE ON BELLATOR VETERAN AT NEF 28

Aaronas Lacey, undefeated as a professional, has won seven in a row going back to his amateur career. “This is going to be an amazing fight,” said Lacey. “Walter is a skilled and dangerous opponent, and he is realistically one of the most dangerous people I have fought to date. Voted “Kovotojas Metų” earlier this week by NEF fans, it would take a Herculean effort to argue that 2016 was not Aaron Lacey’s year. He made his professional debut in April at “NEF 22” defeating veteran Derek Shorey (4-8) and remained undefeated the rest of the year. Including his amateur career, Lacey is riding a seven-fight win streak. He has not lost a fight since the spring of 2014 (his only loss) – close to three years ago.

 

Neseniai, Lacey struck down seasoned pro Taylor Trahan (6-7) with a vicious liver kick that made the entire crowd at the Colisee cringe. A win over Jacobs on Vasaris 11 would move Lacey that much closer to signing a contract with a major, national MMA promotion – a fate long predicted by many insiders for the product of Bangor’s Young’s MMA gym.

 

“I’m looking forward to 2017,” said Lacey when reached for comment. “2016 was a big year for me and I am looking forward to carrying that momentum into the new year on Vasario 11 d. Chris Jacobs is a seasoned opponent who is making the trip up from Florida, so he will be prepared. I live in the gym and have been making huge gains, ir 2017 will be the year I get to showcase those gains!”

 

Jacobs is based out of DeLand, Floridos. “NEF 27” will see him make his first trip to compete in Maine, but Jacobs is no stranger to the MMA cage. He put together an impressive record of 8-3 kaip mėgėjų, including capturing a regional title on a fight card in nearby Daytona Beach. Jacobs won his pro debut earlier this year in Tampa. He is looking forward to facing tough competition in the form of Lacey.

UŽ nedelsiant paleisti: Lewiston, Meino (Lapkritis 19, 2016) - Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF) surengė savo naujausią mišrią kovos meną (MMA) renginys, “NEF 26: PRIVALUMAS” šeštadienio vakarą „Androscoggin Bank Colisée“ Lewiston mieste, Meino. Akcija iš viso pristatė 14 MMA kovoja prieš tvirtą kovos gerbėjų minią.

 

Kraujas tekėjo anksti, ir jis visą naktį gausiai tekėjo.

 

Pagrindiniame renginio vakare, Ryanas Sandersas (12-8) nugalėjo Jon Lemke (5-7) techniniu sprendimu. Kova buvo sustabdyta trečiajame raunde, kai Lemke patyrė gilų galvos pjūvį. Su kova trečiame raunde, pagal vieningas MMA taisykles teisėjai’ rezultatų kortelės buvo pakviestos priimti nuosprendį. Sandersas laimėjo 20-18 visų trijų teisėjų’ veiklos rodikliais, įmušęs tik pirmuosius du raundus.

Lewiston, Meino (Spalis 21, 2016) – Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF) pristato savo kitą mišrių kovos menų renginį, “NEF 26: PRIVALUMAS,” šeštadienį, Lapkritis 19 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Anksčiau šiandien, NEF executives announced the full fight card for the event which will be the fight promotion’s grand finale for 2016.

 

Į pagrindinį renginį, “The” Ryanas Sandersas (10-8) susitiks Jon Lemke (5-6) in a professional lightweight bout. It will be Sanders’ first fight in Lewiston since November 2014. Much has been made of the fact that Sanders and Lemke are former teammates. The bout is considered a “dream match” by Maine fight fans, especially those from the Bangor-area familiar with the rivalry between Sanders’ camp Young’s MMA and Lemke’s camp Team Irish.

 

The co-main event of the evening will feature an interesting “treneris vs.. treneris” mūšis. “Grūdintas 2.0” Derek Shorey (4-7), head of the Shatterproof Combat Club, is scheduled to face Ruthless MMA & Boxing founder Joshas Parkeris (4-8) in a professional featherweight contest. Shorey is coming off a big win in Rhode Island earlier this fall, while Parker will be returning to the MMA cage after spending the last three years competing as a boxer.

 

Rounding out the professional portion of the card will be undefeated prospect Aaronas “Nepaliaujamas” Lacey (3-0) ir Tayloras Trahanas (6-6) į lengvas bijau. Lacey and Trahan both submitted their respective opponents at “NEF 25” praėjusį mėnesį.
