JENNINGS & SANTANA GAIN RESPECT WITH FANS

(Maio 4, 2015) – Bellator MMA’s heavyweight division will now play host to a pair of the hardest-hitting heavyweights in the game, as promotion officials are proud to announce the addition of Brazilian K-1 champion Ewerton Teixeira (3-0), as well as Blackzilians slugger Lorenzo “The Samoan Silverback” capuz (9-2).
Debut dates and opponents will be announced for both fighters in the near future.
A third dan black belt in Kyokushin karate, a 33-year-old Teixeira vem acumulando títulos em competições em greve há mais de uma década. Votou o “Rookie of the Year” para 2014 por fãs NEF, Johnny Crafts dominou em todas as três lutas anteriores. Para aqueles familiarizados com sua formação no Jiu-Jitsu brasileiro (BJJ), não é surpresa que o faixa-marrom tenha finalizado cada um de seus adversários. Em fevereiro passado, Crafts entregou o invicto Mike Crespo (2-2) sua primeira derrota na gaiola NEF. Ele é atualmente um membro da equipe New England United (NEW) – a maior equipe de Jiu-Jitsu do nordeste.
“Estou muito animado para lutar pelo primeiro título ammy da NEF peso galo,” disse Artesanato. “Esta é definitivamente a minha luta mais difícil até hoje e estou pronto para mostrar a todos minha progressão. Jeff parece ser muito bem-arredondado, lutador experiente e esta deve ser uma batalha para os fãs da NEF se divertirem.”
Jeff Watts é um produto do oeste do estado de Nova York, onde ele desenvolveu uma reputação em tenra idade como um lutador de rua durão. Com formação em Karate e wrestling, Watts começou a treinar MMA em 2009. Um rosto familiar para os fãs de MMA da Nova Inglaterra, tendo competido duas vezes em Plymouth, Massachusetts, Junho 13 será a sua estreia no cage da NEF. Watts é conhecido internacionalmente como escritor “Karmaatemycat” no grande site de MMA Cagepotato.com. Atualmente residindo em Wausau, Wisconsin, ele treina fora do Rising Son MMA.
“Estou incrivelmente empolgado por lutar com o calibre do Jiu Jitsu que John traz para o cage,” disse Watts. “Estou ainda mais animado para ver como ele lida com um soco na cara.
