The 6-foot-4 Dennis possesses good skills, movement and punching power to go with his strong amateur background. His weakness is durability; he’s been knocked out in all of his losses.

 

“I’m ready to fight,’’ Dennis said. “I’ve been training really hard and I am looking forward to the fight. I just want to get this win and move on as I will have a big year in 2016.’’

 

Dela Torre, considered one of the top young talents in the Philippines, will be fighting outside of Asia for the first time. A big puncher and winner of seven straight by knockout, 5-foot-8, 21-year-old is coming off athird-round TKO over Ricard Betos viimane November. 14.

“It’s every boxer’s dream to fight on big cards in United States. This is the next step in my pathway to becoming world champion,’’ Dela Torre said. “I can’t wait. Before turning professional at 17, Dela Torre was a top member on the Philippine National Amateur Boxing Team. As a pro, he has made a “name” for himself after an impressive victory over Jason Butar-Butar on the undercard of a Manny Pacquiao-headlined fight in November 2013.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Detsember 24, 2015) – Yesterday hot undefeated super-featherweight prospect, Mario Barrios (14-0, 8 Kos), joined the Christmas spirit by donating gifts to the local boys and girls club in San Antonio. Fans can cast their votes for “Fight of the Year” online at http://2015.wsof.com/. The winning bout will be announced on NBC during the ‘Greatest Hits’ program.

The show will include highlights from World Series of Fighting’s historic, first-ever, one-night tournament that saw eight fighters battle for the number one contender spot in the coveted lightweight (155 naela) jaotus.

Lisaks, an “International Fighter of the Year” segment will showcase footage featuring each of seven different, prolific World Series of Fighting athletes, including reigning heavyweight champion Blagoy Ivanov and reigning bantamweight (135 naela) peapolt Marlon Moraes, who turned in at least one impressive performance in 2015.

The year-end program on NBC comes shortly after World Series of Fighting’s 26thlive event and towards the close of its third year of operation.

Among the accolades the world championship MMA league garnered in 2015 were two “Fight of the Month” honors. Travis Kauffman honored by Hometown of Reading, PA

In the proclamation, Kauffman was honored for not only his fight with Arreola, where he battled the former two-time world title challenger to a fight in which most people watching the fight both at ringside and watching on NBC had Kauffman ahead, but also for his activities in the community, which includes feeding the homeless and giving back in many facets in Reading.

“I worked hard for years just to get recognized by the city I love,” ütles Kauffman. “I made many mistakes in my life, but I turned my life around and have done everything to give back to my community and the people of Reading, Pa. I’m honored today to finally be recognized in my city after all the hard work and the dedication. Thank you to the mayor, the City Council, and the people of Reading, Pa for this award. The 31-year-old protégé of Matt Hume and brother of fellow World Series of Fighting competitor and costumed superhero Phoenix Jones exploded onto the national MMA scene in 2010 when he ran to five consecutive wins with the now defunct Strikeforce promotion.

Teddy Holder vs. Shamil Gamzatov

Omanik (9-2) Bartlett, Tenn. is a former high school football star turned MMA machine who made his first big mark in the sport at WSOF19 on Märts 28 after being bumped up from the event’s undercard to a co-main event matchup with established star Thiago Silva, on the day of the event due to the withdrawal of Silva’s original opponent, Matt Hamill, from the matchup.
