M-1 Global prolonge les contrats avec Ivan Buchinger, Stephen Puetz & Lee Morrison

PETERSBURG, Russie (Janvier 27, 2016) – Président M-1 Global Vadim Finklechtein a annoncé des prolongations de contrat pour le champion poids plume M-1Jean “Ce est le” Buchinger, ancienne liste de titres des poids lourds légers M-1 Challenge Stephan “T-800” Puetz et meilleur prétendant poids plume américain Lee “Bouledogue américain” Morrison.

Promoter Greg Cohen of Greg Cohen Promotions says he could not be happier with the performance turned in last Friday night by the fighter he co-promotes (with Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions), undefeated heavyweight slugger Jarrell “Big Baby” Meunier.
Meunier, maintenant 16-0-1, 14 KOs, showed both his frightening power and excellent boxing skills while scoring a brutal TKO 7 over an extremely game Donovan Dennis. Fighting in the co-main event of a nationally televised ShoBox: The New Generation from the Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona, Miller made believers out of many by displaying depth and ring intelligence to go with his sledgehammer fists.
“Jarrell showed he’s not just a big puncher,” a déclaré Greg Cohen. “He showed the ability to change up his game plan during a fight. That’s very important at the higher levels of the division. He nearly took Dennis’ head off in the first round, but when he saw that somehow he was going to survive for a while, he switched up to boxing and re-established his dominance that way. It was exactly what he should have done in there.”
Meunier, who won the NABA Heavyweight Championship with the victory, is now in line for an even higher-profile showdown with a rated contender.
“Jarrell is a force to be reckoned with and with his power, skill, athleticism and charisma, he can become a worldwide star and be the man to restore the heavyweight division to its glory of yesteryear,” continué Cohen. “People love him and can’t enough of him!”
Cohen says that even though Miller called out the champions of the division after the victory, the probable next step will be a top-ten fighter in one of the sanctioning organizations.
“We believe he can beat any of the champions right now, aujourd'hui. But to get him there we will have to next focus on someone rated above him and take their spot by force. But I have every confidence we are less than a year away from getting Jarrell the world title shot he wants more than anything.”

ST. PETERSBURG, Russie (Janvier 26, 2016) – Reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramadan Emeev will take on Brazilian challenger Maiquel “Big Rig” Falcao in the second M-1 Grand Prix middleweight eliminator, Mars 4 à M-1 Défi 65, à Moscou.
The first M-1 Grand Prix match of 2016 is set in the middleweight division as three-time Bellator champion Alexander “Tempête” Shlemenko (51-9-0, M-1: 2-0-0) takes on former M-1 Challenge middleweight and light heavyweight titlist Vyacheslav Vassilevski (27-3-0, M-1: 10-1-0)à M-1 Défi 64, Février 19 au Stade olympique à Moscou.
The winners of Shlemenko vs. Vasilevsky and Emeev vs. Falcao will advance to the M-1 Grand Prix middleweight championship later this year.
“We tried to get the strongest middleweight fighters and did a great job to give fans the most spectacular match-ups,” Président M-1 Global Vadim Finkelchtein dit. “Every single fight is intriguing in M-1 Grand Prix. Emeev (13-3-0, M-1: 7-1-0), la 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, is a two-time M-1 Challenge middleweight champion. Born in Azerbaijan but fighting and training out of Markaxhkala, Russie, Emeev originally captured the vacant M-1 Challenge middleweight crown in 2012 à M-1 Défi 35, winning a decision over Mario Miranda. Emeev successfully defended his title in a rematch cinq mois plus tard with Miranda, who was stopped via strikes in the third round at M-1 Défi 38.
In his next title defense, Emeev lost his title belt at M-1 Défi 51 as Vasilevsky won by fourth-round stoppage via punches. LOWELL, Masse. (Janvier 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Xavier Vega, de Lawrence (MA), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Jan. 8) in the Central New England (grand Lowell) semifinals of the 70e annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (New Hampshire) provocateur Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, qui a 33-3 record amateur, n'a pas commencé la boxe avant d'être 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, sinon, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

to a left elbow injury.
Said Vasquez, “Of course I won the fight, but Martinez is a tough competitor, a tough Mexican fighter. I tried to mix it up with him a little bit, but there was no sense in me trying to do that. I could have easily outboxed him, which I started to do, but I wanted more. I was just starting to warm up.
“A victory feels good of course, but I wanted more. I wanted to go 12 tours, if it would have lasted that long. I wanted a very decisive win. Malheureusement, he got hurt, but every fight is a learning experience for me.

Said a happy Breazeale, “I didn’t know what happened. Usually when they wave off a fight, it’s over. Shows I have punching power after all.

NEW YORK - Janvier 23, 2016 - WBA Welterweight World Champion Keith “One Time” Thurman will defend his title against former champ “Showtime” Shawn Porter in a blockbuster matchup of two of the world’s best 147-pound fighters on Samedi, Mars 12 sur SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING on CBS.

“Showtime” Porter has built one of the most impressive resumes in the division since making his welterweight debut in 2010. Porter, who surprisingly turned professional as a super middleweight (168 livres), won the IBF crown in 2013 with an impressive unanimous decision over Devon Alexander.

 

The physically-gifted and offensive-minded Ohio native knocked out former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi with a brutal clean right hand in April of 2014 in the lone defense of his title. Porter lost the IBF belt less than four months after the Malignaggi victory in a close majority decision defeat to undefeated British superstar Kell Brook, but he bounced back with a fifth-round knockout of Erick Bone in March of 2015. Porter scored what many considered an upset victory in his next bout over then three-division world champion Adrien Broner with a clear unanimous decision last Juin 20 à Las Vegas.
