Garcia looks to become a four-division champion, joining future Hall of Famers Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez as the only fighters to capture titles at 126, 130, 135 y 140 libra, while Barthelemy has a chance to become the only Cuban in history to win titles in three weight divisions.

NUEVA YORK (Marzo 8, 2018) – Despite taking the bout on less than five days’ aviso, two-time world title challenger Petr Petrov is ready for his showdown with junior welterweight Ivan Baranchyk, este viernes night on a Showtime boxeo: SPECIAL EDITION live en TIEMPO DE LA FUNCION(10 PM ET/PT)

Petrov, who has not fought in eleven months since dropping a decision to undefeated WBO Lightweight champion Terry Flanagan, was training for a return bout in his native Spain before getting the call last weekend after Anthony Yigit fell out of the fight with Baranchyk.
Petrov arrived at the Deadwood Mountain Grand in Deadwood, Dakota del Sur, and he is confident going into this important fight.
“Me siento bien. I am always training, and was getting ready for a fight in a couple months in my native Spain, so I don’t find this to be a big deal to accept this fight on short notice,” Said Petrov.
What made it easy for him to take the fight, was the opportunity to fight for the number-2 position in the IBF.
“My goal is to be a world champion, and this fight gets me close to that. I don’t know anything about Baranchyk, but I know he has never fought anyone with my experience, and combined with being on the stages where I have competed will prove to be the distance el viernes noche.”

Viernes, Marzo 23, in the Event Center at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino en Hollywood, Florida, promoter Kris Lawrence’s The Heavyweight Factory will present “Rumble en el Rock,” an 11-bout night of world-class professional boxing.
Featured in the night’s main event is a 12-round WBA Bantamweight Eliminator for the mandatory contender between WBA #4-rated southpaw Stephon “Showstopper” Joven (17-0-3, 7 KOs) from Saint Louis and WBA #5 Reymart “GenSan Assassin” Piezas (18-0, 16 KOs) from General Santos City, Filipinas. In the 10-round co-main, red-hot 19-year-old Hawaiian welterweight prospect Logan “The Korican Kid” Yoon (11-0, 11 KOs) will face an opponent TBA for the IBF Youth World Championship.
Special guests expected that evening include former heavyweight champions Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe and Evander “El trato real” Holyfield.

For 29-year-old Young, the fight against Gaballo represents him getting one step closer to his dream of a world title after years as a contender.

Tampa, Florida (Marzo 7, 2018) – Welterweight up and comer Mark Reyes will face veteran Larry Yanez in the main event of Fight Night Promotions’ “Viernes Night Fights” Viernes, Marzo 9 at the Florida State Fairgrounds Entertainment Center in Tampa, Florida.

Viviendo y peleando fuera de Tampa, Reyes started boxing at the age of 6, becoming a multi-time National Champion. His dream was to represent the US in the 2016 Olympics but his path to Rio was derailed by an injury. As a pro, the talented Reyes has a perfect 5-0 registro con 3 wins by knockout and many industry insiders consider the 21-year-old to be one of Florida’s blue chip prospects.
Originally from Cuba and now residing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Yanez is a fearless fighter who never turns down a challenge. He’s faced the likes of Gary Antuanne Russell, Samuel Seah, Rickey Edwards, Ivan Najera and Yoelvis Gamboa. In Novemebr 2012, Yanez upset previously unbeaten Jairo Martinez via unanimous decision.
The Reyes-Yanez fight is slated for 6 rondas.

“I want to take on these big opportunities because I want to challenge myself. This is another chance to prove to all the fans what kind of fighter I am.

“It would be very nice to win a fourth division title. That would obviously be a big accomplishment in my career and it would be the second time I won the title here in the state of Texas. I have a lot of appreciation and love for San Antonio boxing fans.
“Some critics aren’t giving Lipinets much credit because he’s only had 13 peleas, but that tells you how good of a fighter he is. It took me 30 fights to be a world champion. “My hand injury took place over the course of sparring. We were changing sparring partners two rounds at a time. I hit one of them at some point and the next morning [the injury] explotó. I didn’t really feel it at the time when I hurt it.
