Lewiston, Maine (Oktober 5, 2016) – New England Fights (NEF) presenteert zijn volgende mixed-martial-arts-evenement, “NEF 26: SUPREMATIE,” op zaterdag, November 19 op de Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Eerder vandaag, NEF executives announced the addition of a professional featherweight bout to the fight card. Aaron “Meedogenloos” Lacey (3-0) has signed on to face Taylor Trahan (6-6) bij een gevecht gewicht van 145-pond.
Lacey is riding high on a three-fight win streak to start his professional career. He will be looking for his fourth win in a short seven-month period. It would seem that the Young’s MMA featherweight is on the fast track to the next level of the sport. Lacey knows that to get there he will have to continue to face, and defeat, tough veterans like Trahan.
“Taylor is a seasoned veteran who has competed against the best New England has to offer for a long time,” said Lacey. “He has a vast amount of experience that is going to be hard to surmount. Ik doe, echter, believe I have a strong set of skills that can cause him a lot of problems. This one is going to be a scrap! Wie weet, maybe another fight of the night!”
Trahan is the definition of veteran. He has competed on the regional mixed-martial-arts scene since 2009. Vorige maand, Trahan made his debut in the NEF MMA cage, defeating Matt Denning (3-4) via de eerste ronde onderwerping. It put an end to a five-fight skid that Trahan had been on. He will look to make it two in a row on November 19 against Lacey.
“I’m looking forward to returning to Lewiston to fight for NEF,” said Trahan. “I’m hoping to put on a good show for everyone and come out with the win.”
