Yoon was a major amateur sensation who competed in 90 amateur bouts and was a 8-time state champion in Hawaii, who captured The Jr. Olympic Bronze medal, Adidas National Champion, Title National Champion, JR. National Golden Gloves Champion, and Ringside National Champion.
He is Korean and Puerto Rican, who calls Hawaii home.
Because of his amateur prowess, he was given a special dispensation to turn professional at the age of 17. He did just that as he registered a first round stoppage over Leonardo Cervantes on September 9th in Jalisco, Мексик.
