Field set for 2017 USA Boxing Women’s Elite National Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO (Listopad 30, 2017) – Team USA women’s boxing hopefuls will be competing in the prestigious USA Women’s Elite National Championships, Prosinec 5-9, v Salt Lake City, Utah.

Zlatá medaile Ortiz uzavírá silné představení mladé americké delegace. Další medaile týmu USA, do bronzu, včera vyhrál Isamary Aquino Universal City, Texas.
“Jsem nesmírně hrdý na svůj výkon na svém prvním mezinárodním turnaji,” řekl Aquino po slavnostním ceremoniálu. “Bylo mi ctí, že jsem mohl reprezentovat tým USA a přinést si domů medaili z mistrovství světa.”

Letošní mistrovství světa mládeže přineslo 160 nejlepších světových boxerek pro mládež z 36 různé země všechny soupeří o jednu z 10 světové tituly k sevření. Hlavní trenér Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) a pomocní trenéři Koroma (Colorado Springs, Colo.) a Jeff Mays (San Antonio, Texas) vedl tým USA během těchto mistrovství. Team USA finishes 1-1 on second day; six Americans to enter ring today
GUWAHATI, Indie (Listopad. 21, 2017) — Day two of the 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships in Guwahati, India brought two members of Team USA into the ring looking to advance one step closer to a world title.
Welterweight Citlalli Ortiz (Coachella, Calif.) grabbed Team USA’s first win of the championships with a split decision victory over Nadezhda Ryabets of Kazakhstan. She will return to the ring on Středa, Listopad. 22 for a quarterfinals match-up against
The second American in today’s field, middleweight Sharahya Moreu (Albuquerque, N. M.), fell short of taking the judges card over Russian Anastasiia Shamonova.
Zítra the remaining six members of Team USA will make their tournament debut, počítaje v to 2015 Junior World Champion Nebe García (Hora, Calif.) The other five boxers will all be making their international debuts.

Charlotte, NC (Listopad 8, 2017) – Combat sports star Seini Draughn will step into the ring on Pátek, 17.listopadu at The Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, Severní Karolina.
The show is promoted by Pretty Girl Promotions.
Draughn, who maybe better known as a professional wrestler Lei’D Tapa has appeared for TNA Impact Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Global Force Wrestling and WWE Developmental territory NXT .
The native of Tampa, Florida via Tonga also has appeared in MMA fights in Japan, and is a 2-time IBJJF, 2-time Naga, and New Breed Champion.

Selina Barrios Spooks Her Opponent, Zarina Tsoloyeva Backs Out of Fight

RAYNE, Los Angeles (Listopad 2, 2017) – Two days after Halloween, unbeaten female sensation, lehká váha Selina “Aztec královna” Sousedství (2-0, 1 KO), has spooked her opponent, Zarina Tsoloyeva (Pro Debut) from Zhaksy, Kazachstán, as she backed out of their scheduled 4-round bout, set to take place today at The Rayne Civic Center in Louisiana. Tsoloyeva refused to step on the scale at yesterdays weigh-in.
Selina Barrios is one of the most avoided female fighters in the United States and now Kazakhstan. Ebony Jones from Alabama, Alpha Patricia Lopez from Mexico, a teď Zarina Tsoloyeva from Kazakhstan, all signed to fight Selina but backed out to fight her at the last minute. Jones and Lopez were no shows, while Tsoloyeva who is from the distant land of Kazakhstan, showed up to the weigh-in, but declined to step on the scale.
“I was willing to fight Zarina Tsoloyeva, the decorated amateur from Kazakhstan, but she pulled out at the last minute, like my last two opponents.” said Selina Barrios from San Antonio. “It’s been very difficult getting opponents to fight me. We’re going to move her into six and eight rounders moving forward. I’m already in talks with the sanctioning bodies to get her ranked.”

Selina’s younger brother, undefeated super-lightweight contender, Mario Barrios (20-0, 12 KO), has been in awe of his sister since she was as dominate amateur.
“Growing up, my sister was the best fighter in every tournament we entered.” Said Mario Barrios. “She literally wrecked everyone in her weight class. It wasn’t until I was a late teen that I was able to hang with her. I love my sister and I know with the powerful team that she has behind her now, she can become a world champion.”
Ann Wolfe, who was one of the most devastating punchers in women’s boxing history, has been a big fan of Selina since her days as a dominate amateur. Wolf has seen Selina destroy her competition while fighting in the amateurs.
“Selina Barrios is a beast,” said former world champion Ann Wolf. “I haven’t seen anything like her since my days as a professional boxer. She definitely has the talent to become a multiple world champion.”
