LAS VEGAS, NV – Február 2, 2017 – Premier Boxing Champions opened its third season with an explosive collision between newly-crowned WBC 126-pound champion Leo Santa Cruz and Ireland’s Carl Frampton, and a devastatingly impressive performance by Mikey Garcia, who scored a devastating third round knockout against Dejan Zlaticanin to win the WBC 135-pound world title this past Sobota night in Las Vegas.
The PBC series rolls on with a fantastic slate of shows that will feature matches in the hottest divisions in boxing – mušia, welterweight, junior middleweight, a v ťažkej váhe.

Yordenis Ugas takes on Levan Ghavamichava in a 10-round welterweight match, and undefeated prospects, Ryan “Kovboj” Carl and Eddie Ramirez clash. Viac, hot Mexican prospect Jose Borrego will make his U.S. television debut.
Na Február 10, Robert Easter will defend his 135-pound IBF world title in a 12-round match in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio against Luis Cruz on Bounce TV. Rau'shee Warren, who is from Cincinnati, Ohio, will defend his bantamweight title against Zhanat Zhakiyanov in the co-feature. Terrell Gausha, a 2012 Olympian and undefeated junior middleweight, bude tiež v akcii.

The fight will be the first step toward unifying titles in the sizzling welterweight division, with these two top 147-pound champions squaring off in a 12-round match.
Look for additional PBC shows in March to be announced shortly.
There are other fantastic cards for boxing fans, including four-time world champion Adrien Broner who will take on Adrian Granados in a 140-pound bout in Broner’s hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio on SHOWTIME on Február. 18. In co-features, former 140-pound champion Lamont Peterson will meet Russia’s David Anaveysan for the regular WBA 147-pound title and 175-pound contenders Marcus Browne and Thomas Williams will square off in a crossroads match.
Middleweight champion Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs will meet 160-pound champion Gennady Golovkin in a title unification match at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Marec 18.

“Luis Collazo is a really tough opponent. He’s always game. It doesn’t matter who he fights. I always enjoyed watching him growing up because he’s quick, strong and savvy.

The opponent change comes after Wilder’s original foe, Andrzej Wawrzyk, tested positive for a banned substance.

I’m looking forward to going to Birmingham and coming away with a victory just like I did in my last fight there.”
Washington, a 34-year-old U.S. Navy veteran who also played tight end and defensive end at the University of Southern California, scored a fourth round knockout over former title challenger Ray Austin in his last fight. It came on the undercard of the same show in Birmingham where Wilder suffered a torn right biceps muscle and fractured his right hand against Chris Arreola on July 16, 2016. Wilder won on a 9th round TKO, but needed several rounds of surgery to repair the damage and has spent the last six months in rehabilitation.
“I was disappointed when Wawrzyk tested positive for a banned substance and wasn’t available to fight. I didn’t want to disappoint my loyal fans in Birmingham, who have always supported me,” Wilder povedal. “I’m glad Gerald Washington stepped up to the challenge and allowed us to go forward with the show. Born in Bien Hoa, Vietnam as the son of a Vietnamese POW, Nguyen and his family moved to the United States when he was eight-years-old. Nguyen earned a full scholarship to Northern Michigan University as part of their Olympic boxing program and would go on to win a silver medal at the National Golden Gloves and a bronze medal at the U.S. World Championships. Fighting out of Vero Beach, Florida, Nguyen’s losses have all come from undefeated opponents and he enters this fight having won back-to-back contests.
The brother of former world champion Omar, the 20-year-old Figueroa turned pro in May of 2015 by defeating Hector Gutierrez and followed that up by stopping Ricardo Mena, Ramiro Ruiz and Francisco Muro to close out the year. The Weslaco-native has stayed busy in 2016, picking up six victories, including five by way of stoppage.

BROOKLYN (Január 11. 2017) – Fight week activities officially began today with media workouts at the brand new Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn before the super middleweight title unification showdown between Baďo Jack a James DeGale that headlines action this Sobota, Január 14 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn and live on SHOWTIME.

 

Also in attendance and opening the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast at 9:30 p.m. A/6:30 p.m. PT are junior lightweight world champion Jose Pedraza and unbeaten contender Gervonta Davis.

Additional televised action will feature super bantamweight world champion Amanda Serrano defending her title against former two-division world champion Yazmin Rivas on SHOWTIME EXTREME.
