NEW YORK - Duben 6, 2017 – Combate Americas announced today the completion of a stacked, 10-fight lineup for its “Combate 13” Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Ariz. na Čtvrtek, Duben 20, live on Azteca America and ESPN Latin America (10 p.m. A).

Among the matchups added to finalize the card are a welterweight (170 liber) showdown between a pair of undefeated, rising stars in Daniel Rodriguez (3-0) a Joel Champion (4-0), neither of whom have been taken the distance of a fight yet, as well as a women’s atomweight (105 liber) contest between unbeaten sensation Alesha “Half Pint” Zappitella (2-0) and hard-nosed battler Stephanie “The Cyclone” Alba (3-1).

ST. PETERSBURG, Rusko (Březen 31, 2017) – M-1 Global prezident Vadim Finkelchtein (pictured above) has announced five M-1 Challenge events to be held this May and June.
Below is a Q & A with the veteran MMA promoter:
Can you tell us about plans for upcoming M-1 Global events?
VF: “In the next 2-3 months we will promote an extremely full schedule of events. Through the middle of Červnae, we will promote five – I’m not afraid to use these words – grandiose tournaments. 22. dubna there’s an event being held in Nazran, which was arranged with the support of the local government, and dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Ingushetia. Na Květen 19th, in collaboration with Rostec and Rosoboronexport corporations, we will hold a truly spectacular event in Sochi. Our traditional tournament in Orenburg is set for 26. května, which regularly takes place at the highest level with a crowded venue. Na Červnae 1st, we will hold another event in St. Petersburg as part of the International Aconomic Forum program. And already on Červnae 15 – A major tournament will be held June 15th v Charbinu, Čína, during the program of the Russian-Chinese Axpo. Both in St. Petersburg and China, we are included in the official program, so we will be participating in truly large-scale events.”
Fans are interested in fighters whose performances will decorate these tournaments. Can you reveal some of the competing fighters?
VF: “We will really surprise the audience at these events. A lot of negotiations are ongoing, including those with fighters who are the TopP-20 ranked fighters in the world. There will also be fights involving new fighters. Samozřejmě, we intend to make fights that fans have been waiting for a long time. One is the is the Idrisov vs. Buchinger rematch and, samozřejmě, probably the most anticipated fight in Russian MMA today, Shlemenko proti Ameev.”
The fight between Alexander Shlemenko and Ramazan Ameev had already been postponed twice. What prevents this fight from being canceled for the third time?
VF: “The desire of the two fighters can play the major role here. Averything has been done on our side. Alexander Shlemenko is ready for this fight. We’re waiting word back from Ramazan Ameev. This fight is interesting for fans and we will try to make it happen. People are starting to understand more and more about MMA and we are making fights that our fans want to happen. Not only does this apply to Shlemenko a Ameev. but for other popular fighters as well, including undefeated M-1 welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko, top lightweight Artiom Damkovsky, Damir Ismagulov, Sergey Romanov a mnoho dalších. We try to sign contracts with only fighters who want to be in spectacular fights. Look at the last events in Moscow. Were any of the 11 fights boring? Do Not! Aven in undercard matches we have fighters who deliver exciting fights and often early finishes. This is the hallmark of our promotion. We do not hold uninteresting events or boring fights.”
Dnes, many promotions sign fighters who were fired from UFC. Why are you not doing this?
VF: “Certainly in that way. If fighters are interesting to the Russian public and well known, we will sign him. Jinak, I believe that it is wrong to sign, tak říkajíc, cast-off fighters. This will not add credibility and strengthen our organization in the MMA world. We do that a different way. We build stars that UFC chases. It may be more difficult but M-1 is more respected by the West for doing it this way. Podívejte, those fighters who leave M-1 for the UFC leave because they’ve been developed through serious schooling, as we do not feed them “tomato cans” oponenti. We do not make easy fights for anybody. Marcin Tybura, Rashid Magomedov, Mairbek Taisumov, Alexey Oleinik, Islam Makhachev, Alexander Volkov, etc. All of them are our former fighters. They were not known at the beginning of their careers but now they are all doing excellent. Fighters of the other promoters who moved in UFC are often fired after a while because, here in Russia, they did not face tough opposition.”
How do you fight the departure of your fighters to the West?
VF: “Zde, I disagree with you. It used to be that way. Nyní, to the contrary, many fighters want to perform in M-1 because it is no less prestigious than performing for Bellator, where the emphasis is on the show. Example of this are Alexander Shlemenko, Sergei Kharitonov, and others. These warriors gladly come to us and agree to fight here because the opposition in M-1 is not weak. Samozřejmě, regarding the departure of the fighters to the West, money plays a great role. But there are fighters who are grateful to M-1 for fame they gained. We paved the road to a greatness for them and, consequently, they do not rush to leave M-1 anywhere.”

We also discuss some of the latest news, such as a claim made by Bob Arum that the UFC wants to take half of Conor MacGregor’s purse when and if he fights Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match. We also have a good laugh about Rampage Jackson being mad at King Mo Lawal for “fat shaming” him.. Rampage’s defense is vintage Cartman from South Park: “I’m not fat, I’m just big boned.”

MOSKVA (Březen 27, 2017) – ruština těžké váze Sergei “Výsadkář” Kharitonov se zavázal bojovat Červen 15 na M-1 Challenge 80 karta v Charbinu, Čína. Kharitonov se utká s brazilským veteránem MMA Marcus Viniciuds “Hora” Lopes v hlavní události.
Kharitonov (23-6-0, M-1: 3-0-0) je neporažený ve třech M-1 Challenge turnajích, když porazil bývalého šampiona M-1 Challenge v těžké váze Kenny “Čert” Sýpka dvakrát, v M-1 Výzva 59 v 2015 v Kazachstánu (WKO/TKO4 – údery) a M-1 Challenge 43 v 2013 v Číně, (KO/TKO3 – zranění), a Financí Alexej na M-1 Challenge 53 v 2014 Rusko (KO2).
Kharitonov, který také bojoval ve Strikeforce a PRIDE, porazil některé z největších bojovníků MMA v těžké váze všech dob, počítaje v to Allistair Overeem, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum a Pedro Rizzo.
Lopes (15-0-0, M-1: 2-1-0) poražený Evgeni Myakinkin tříkolovým jednomyslným rozhodnutím letos v únoru v M-1 Challenge 74. Lopes vyhrál tříkolové jednomyslné rozhodnutí nad Kurban Ibragimov ve svém debutu M-1 loni v červenci. Přišla jeho jediná ztráta M-1 M-1 Challenge 71 letos v říjnu bývalému šampionovi M-1 Challenge v polotěžké váze Stephan Puetz, který použil držení sytiče k vítězství v podání ve třetím kole.
Nátlakový bojovník a solidní útočník, Lopes je šampionem jiu-jitsu ve své rodné Brazílii, kde se většina jeho MMA zápasů konala během jeho 6 1/2-let profesionální kariéry.
V nedávném rozhovoru pro M-1 Global News, řekl Kharitonov, “Dostal jsem spoustu nabídek, ale raději bojuji v M-1 Global.” Níže je kompletní Q & A s Kharitonovem:
Víte, kdo bude vaším soupeřem na M-1 Challenge a, Pokud není uvedeno, jaká jsou vaše očekávání?
SK: “zatím nic nevím. Dostal jsem nabídku od M-1 bojovat v Číně. Od té doby, co jsem mluvil s (M-1 Global prezident) Vadim Finkelchtein na dlouhou dobu a rozumět si, Dal jsem souhlas Vadim řekl, že jsem v Číně populární a že chce, abych na tomto turnaji reprezentoval Rusko. Nyní, Nemám o tomto boji žádné myšlenky ani domněnky, protože se soustředím na svůj nadcházející boj s Bellatorem. To je teď můj hlavní cíl a po tomto boji budu přemýšlet o boji s M-1.”
Bellator nedal povolení k boji loni v prosinci v Rusku. Co se tentokrát změnilo a bylo těžké získat povolení znovu bojovat v M-1?
SK: “Nebyly žádné problémy. Jak jsme se dohodli, nechci komentovat, trochu jedna věc je jistá, Dostal jsem povolení a po mém dalším boji s Bellatorem budu bojovat na M-1 Challenge 80 v Číně.”
Bojoval jste v Číně na M-1 Challenge 53. Jak se vám tam líbí místní publikum a jaké jsou vaše celkové dojmy z turnaje?
SK: “Všechno bylo v pořádku. Líbila se mi úroveň organizace, Fanoušci’ postoj ke sportovcům, a odezva veřejnosti. Myslím, že M-1 má dobré zkušenosti s pořádáním turnajů v Číně, takže tentokrát z toho mohou udělat ještě větší show.”
Přijímáte nabídky k boji od jiných ruských organizací a proč jste se rozhodl bojovat v M-1?
SK: “Ano, Dostal jsem spoustu nabídek, zvláště v poslední době. Neřeknu konkrétně, ale byli z velkých ruských MMA organizací. Ale mám s M-1 dlouhodobý vztah a já a Vadim se dobře známe. Vycházíme spolu dobře a věříme si. Proto, O raději bojujte v M-1 Global.”
