PAIR OF UNDEFEATED PROSPECTS CHRIS HARRIS AND JORDAN YOUNG ALSO SLATED FOR MAIN CARD ACTION

SANTA MONICA, Kalifas. (Lapkritis 28, 2016) – A lightweight bout pitting Kansas’ most popular MMA fighter Davidas RICKELS (17-4, 2 NC) prieš Aaron Derrow (14-8) and a middleweight bout featuring undefeated phenom Chris Harris (7-0) prieš Jordanas Youngas (5-0) are the first two fights announced for “Bellator 171” which will take place inside Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kanzasas, sausio 27.

“The King of Kansas” will once again compete on the Spike-televised main card of Bellator MMA’s return to Kansas Star Arena. A 17-fight veteran of Bellator MMA, Rickels will return to action for the first time since competing against Melvin Guillard this past summer. “The Caveman” has strung together an impressive career, iš viso 11 wins over his seven years with the promotion, including four of his five career knockouts. A native of Derby, Kanzasas, Rickles recently delivered a brutal first round knockout in his co-main clash with Bobby Cooper at "Bellator 150: Kongo vs. Spartan.” The 27-year-old Rickels now prepares for Aaron Derrow, who enters the bout undefeated since joining Bellator MMA in 2014.

Following his hot start, “Daddy Long Legs” will now be tasked with one of the lightweight divisions most proven veterans in David Rickels. The 26-year-old knockout artist will look to build off of a commendable 2016 campaign that saw him emerge victorious in each of his three contests, including a pair of wins with the Scott Coker-led promotion.

Also boasting an undefeated record through five career bouts, the 22-year-old Young will make his promotional debut against the equally impressive Harris. Of his five career wins, four have come by way of submission, with each of the four finishes occurring in the opening round of action. Prior to making his professional debut in 2014, the submission specialist had similar success on the amateur circuit, where he collected four submission victories over a five-fight span. Fighting out of Urbandale, Ajova, the 6’4’’ Young will also hold a significant height advantage over the 5’11’’ Harris as he prepares to challenge one of the most aggressive opponents of his career.

Nearly a year later, Ralek returned to Japan for his second MMA fight and again was victorious, this time defeating Gahdzhiev Alavutdin with an armbar from the mount. These two bouts led to a highly anticipated matchup with Kazushi Sakuraba, where again the Los Angeles native left “The Land of the Rising Sun” with the victory. That was the last time Ralek would fight under MMA rules, until now. Ralek is the third son of Rorion, the nephew of Royce, Rickson, and Royler Gracie and received his black belt from Grand Master Helio Gracie. The Gracie Family is famous for putting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on the map around the globe.

 

Since joining the Bellator MMA roster, you would be hard-pressed to find a fighter who has been involved in more exciting matchups than Hisaki Kato. Nicknamed “The Japanese Mouseketeer,” the 34-year-old French-Japanese competitor has finished Joe Schillingas on two separate occasions, and was involved in what many called a “Round of the Year” candidate during his lone Bellator MMA loss against Melvin Manhoef į 2015. Dabar, Kato sets his sights on Gracie, looking to nullify the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of his Jan. 21 priešas.

UŽ nedelsiant paleisti: Lewiston, Meino (Lapkritis 19, 2016) - Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF) surengė savo naujausią mišrią kovos meną (MMA) renginys, “NEF 26: PRIVALUMAS” šeštadienio vakarą „Androscoggin Bank Colisée“ Lewiston mieste, Meino. Akcija iš viso pristatė 14 MMA kovoja prieš tvirtą kovos gerbėjų minią.

 

Kraujas tekėjo anksti, ir jis visą naktį gausiai tekėjo.

 

Pagrindiniame renginio vakare, Ryanas Sandersas (12-8) nugalėjo Jon Lemke (5-7) techniniu sprendimu. Kova buvo sustabdyta trečiajame raunde, kai Lemke patyrė gilų galvos pjūvį. Su kova trečiame raunde, pagal vieningas MMA taisykles teisėjai’ rezultatų kortelės buvo pakviestos priimti nuosprendį. Klausimas: For Benson…Is there any extra motivation to prove yourself in this fight after the way the last fight ended?

Benson Henderson: I would say that there’s not a whole lot of extra motivation this fight. I’m a pretty highly self-motivated individual. I want to win all of my fights. I don’t need any extra incentives. I want to have my hand raised in every single fight.

Klausimas: This is your second title fight in Bellator. Is there anything you learned from the first go-around that you’re bringing into this fight?

Benson Henderson: I don’t know if there’s anything that I learned from the last title fight, just being more comfortable inside the Bellator cage and getting used to the walkout and finding my rhythm.

Klausimas: You’re fighting for the title now. Do you think of yourself as a lightweight? Is this where you intend to stay or is another trip to welterweight a possibility in the future?

Benson Henderson: I wouldn’t say that I think of myself as a lightweight necessarily. Man, tai 155 kg. arba 170 Svoris., just wherever the more interesting and fun matchups are. Bet, first things first, I have to take care of business šeštadienį naktis.

Klausimas: For Michael…Have you ever thought about trying for another belt? I know it’s early in your title reign, but has that ever crossed your mind? Ir, if you did go for another belt, would it be for welterweight or featherweight?

Michael Chandler: I haven’t put a lot of thought into it. Man, I’m just looking for the biggest fight I can get. I know there’s no way I could make 145 Svoris., since I walk around at about 190 Svoris., between fights. Taip, I’m not interested in losing the muscle mass that I’ve worked so hard to build. Klausimas: For Michael Chandler…With you watching Benson from a far for a long time, what did you think of him as his career progressed?

Klausimas: For Fernando…question regarding the video packages that Michael Page has produced and released this year, most recently during Halloween. Did you watch them and what was your reaction to the video packages?

Fernando Gonzalezas: I watched both of the videos and thought it was kind of funny, especially the last one. Bad choice of food products I guess. He’s basically eating balls and drinking milk, while cupping and savoring the taste. Taip, I don’t know if I should take that as a call out, but I think the victory alone will be enough for me.

Klausimas: Michael do you have a response to that?

MVP: I’m allergic to bullshit, so there’s no point in responding.

Klausimas: For Benson Henderson…In the title eliminator fight in Anaheim, you had a calm and deliberate demeanor throughout that fight and before we could really see you explode, Pitbull was taken away with an injury. Are you going to look to set a faster pace with Chandler, or are we going to see a more measured response?

Benson Henderson: We’ll see how it plays out. It’s hard to dictate and say exactly what I’m going to do. If I was an NFL coach, I would not be one of those coaches that has the first 15 plays of the game scripted out and no matter what happens, we’re sticking to these 15 plays. Man, I have to feel it out and go with the flow. Bet, for me I don’t think this is going to be a slow pace fight. I’m expecting this to be one of the most high paced, action-packed fights you’ve seen in the Bellator cage.

(Lapkritis. 10, 2016) – All fighters successfully made weight for Israel’s first major mixed martial arts event "Bellator 164: nugarėle vs. Lima” which takes place inside of Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, Izraelis. The stacked main card is headlined by a must-see welterweight world title main event pitting current champion Andrejus nugarėle (19-1) prieš Douglas Lima (27-6). Scott Coker on the groundbreaking Bellator event in Israel: “This event started about 18 months ago when we came over here to say hello to our international partners Annaney Communications and EGO TOTAL. We sat down with them and they said ‘Hey, there are a lot of great martial artists here. Why don’t we go meet with some of the gyms?’ So, we went to some of the gyms across Tel Aviv where they hosted a nice tryout. We had about 60-70 athletes participate and Royce (Gracie) would say ‘I think this guy could be good. I think this girl could be good. I think that these are some of the talented fighters that you could bring into Bellator.’ From there we started talking about the venues, and talking about the infrastructure of how we could pull of an event of this magnitude here in this city. We have put together an amazing team of people out here that have done a great job helping make this possible. I’ve been in the fight business for 31 metų, promoting fights all over the world, but this is one that is really a big feather in our cap. Morrison faces undefeated Russian prospect Moysar Evoloev (5-0-0, M-1: 5-0-0) in a fight contested at a 140-pounds (63.5 kilogramų) catchweight. Morrison is a grappler (see photo below with him in top position) who defeated current M-1 Challenge bantamweight title-holder Pavelas Vitruk by decision at M-1 Iššūkis 58.
Fighting at home in Ingushetia, Evloev is also a grappler who is coming off a first-round knockout of Alexander Krupenkin this past May at M-1 Iššūkis 66 (pavaizduota žemiau).
