NOV-JORKO – Aprilo 18, 2018 – Combate Americas today announced a live Univision Deportes Network (UDN) televidoprogramo, as well as the complete 10-bout fight card for the “Combate Estrellas II” Miksita Militajn Artojn (MMA) extravaganza at Gimnasio Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico on Friday, Aprilo 20.

 

La vivas, 90-minute UDN telecast of “Combate Estrellas II,” which will be headlined by a previously announced, highly-anticipated bantamweight (135 Funtoj) rematch between world-ranked superstar and Monterrey native Erik “Goyito” Perez (17-6), and hard-hitting finisher David “D.J.” Fuentes (13-10) of the U.S., Komencas #?e 12 .M. ET/9 p.m. PT, and will follow the live stream of Combate Americas’ preliminary bout card, Komencanta #?e 8 P.M. Et / 5 p.m. PT, on UnivisionDeportes.com.

 

Fuentes, who fights out of McAllen, Teksaso, defeated Perez by way of third round (3:01) submetiĝo (armlock) when the two met on May 28, 2010.

 

In a new bantamweight (135 Funtoj) co-main event, Victor “Periquito” Madrigal (6-1) De Guadalajara, Meksiko, will replace “COPA COMBATE” tournament winner Levy Saul Marroquin of Monterrey, Meksiko, who has withdrawn due to illness, against fellow fast-rising star Alejandro “Gallito” Flores (11-1) of Monterrey.

 

Leading off the three-bout, live televised main card, undefeated strawweight (115 Funtoj) knockout artist Melissa “Super Mely” Martinez (3-0) De Meksika Urbo, Meksiko, will collide with fellow, hard-hitting Muay Thai stylist Ivanna Martinenghi (4-1) de Bonaero, Argentino.

 

Martinez was originally slated to face Francis Hernandez of Puerto Rico.

 

In other action announced for Combate Estrellas II,” prolific finisher Marcelo “Pitbull” Rojo (13-5) of Cordoba, Argentino, Kvadratos ekstere kun Fabian Galvan (8-3) of Monterrey in a bantamweight contest.

Enrique “Locote” Gonzalez (6-1) of Monterrey will collide with Oscar Suarez (4-1) of Santa Cruz Tenerife, Hispanio, in a bantamweight tilt.

Jose Luis “El Pistolero” Medrano (5-2) of Monterrey will battle Daniel “Ora Knabo” Zellhuber (5-0) De Meksika Urbo.

 

Also in the card, Mexican Muay Thai fighter Lezly Hinojosa Compean (0-0) will make her debut under the MMA rules against Spanish superstar Irene Cabello Rivera (7-5) of Barcelona, Spain in an atomweight (105 Funtoj) Vico.

Los Angeles (Aprilo 11, 2018) – Batalo Amerikoj, the premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise, today announced a trio of lineup changes, including a new bantamweight (135 Funtoj) main event between John “Sexi Mexi” Castaneda (16-3) De Usono. Kaj Jose “El Pochito” Alday (10-3) de Meksiko, for “Combate Estrellas I,” live on Univision and Univision Deportes Network (UDN) from Los Angeles on Vendredo, Aprilo 13.

 

 

 

The 90-minute, live Univision (12 .M. ET/12 .M. PT) and UDN (12 .M. ET/9 P.M. PT) broadcast of “Combate Estrellas I” from The Shrine marks Univision Deportes’ first-ever live MMA program.

 

 

Originally slated to face off with rival Castaneda in the headlining bout, Marc “Lufo” Gomez was declared medically unfit to compete due to a detached retina that was discovered during the pre-fight physical exam required by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC).

 

 

 

In the women’s flyweight (125 Funtoj) co-main event, five-division world boxing champion Amanda "La Reala Deal" Serrano (0-0), representing Puerto Rico, will battle a new opponent in veteran Corina Herrera (3-4) of the U.S., after Serrano’s original opponent, Erendira “Aketzaly” Ordonez of Mexico was unable to secure a work visa for the commitment.

NEW YORK – APRIL 6, 2018 ? Combate Americas today announced the signing of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Featherweight (145 Funtoj) star Gaston “Tonga” Reyno (7-2) al ekskluziva, multi-year promotional contract.

 

The 5-foot-10, 31-year-old Reyno, who hails from Montevideo, Urugvajo, will make his promotional debut for Combate Americas on a May date to be announced soon.

 

“We are proud to welcome Gaston Reyno, one of the most exciting fighters from South America, to the Combate Americas roster,” said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren.

New opponent for Amanda Serrano’s MMA Debut; Proceeds of the event go to those affected by Hurricane Maria

The long-awaited mixed martial arts (MMA) debut of professional boxing five-division world champion, Amanda Serrano (0-0) had an opponent change, but of better quality.

 

 

 

 

Serrano was scheduled to face Mexican Erendira “Aketzaly” Ordóñez (2-1), but due to visa issues, the new opponent is now Californian Corina Herrera (3-4) in a three-round fight at the flyweight division (125 Funtoj).

 

 

 

 

 

Serrano-Herrera will take place on Friday, April 13th at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, and will feature simultaneous live broadcasts on Univision and Univision Deportes at midnight (12:00 am Eastern Time / 9:00 pm Pacific Time).

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Herrera has fought on the big scenarios and has never been defeated by knockout or submission. She has good stamina, her fights are exciting, she has good defense and has already fought in different weights from 115 pounds to 135. I only hope that our fight is a great fight for all the demanding MMA fans and of course, for my boricua people who are my heart and soul,” said Serrano.

The agreement marks the first time ever that Univision Deportes will produce and distribute live MMA programming and, Je 2018, will include a total of 16 television airings, beginning with a live, 90-minute broadcast on Univision (12am ET/ 12am PT) and UDN (12am ET/ 9pm PT) of the recently announced “Combate Estrellas I” show at Shrine in Los Angeles, Calif.
