The 10-round main event is a classic match-up of contrasting styles between undefeated Oscar Cantu (14-0, 1 KO) and Aston Palcite (21-2, 18 KO) for Cantu’s North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight belt, as well as the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super flyweight championship. Cantu is rated No. 4 (as a flyweight) dal World Boxing Council (WBC), while International Boxing Federation (IBF) Pan American super flyweight champion Palicte is ranked No. 11 by the IBF and No. 15 dalla WBO.

Las Vegas’ new Big 3 – welterweight Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (7-0, 2 KO) and RJJ-promoted junior lightweight Randy “Il Matador” Moreno (7-0, 6 KO), and bantamweight Max “L'assassino dalla faccia da bambino” Ornelas (6-0, 3 KO) – will all be showcased this Saturday night.

Fan favorite Ornelas, 18, will square off in his seventh the eighth fight of his six-month pro career against California bantamweight Jorge Perez (6-4-1, 3 KO) in un quattro rounder.

North American Boxing Association (Anche) United States lightweight champion Reynaldo “El Trampolin” Blanco (13-2, 7 KO) defends his title in the 10-round main event against Demond “Body Shot” Brock (12-3-1, 4 KO), nel main event 10 round.

Keeping with its goal to showcase young talent based in Las Vegas, peso mosca juniores Marina “Roccioso” Ramirez (2-0), fighting out of Idaho, meets the Bronx’ Natalie Gonzalez (2-0), while pro-debuting cruiserweight Jason Beauchamp faces Puerto Rican Kenny Cruz-Carrasquillo (0-2-1), in a pair of 4-round bouts.

CANCUN, Messico (Ottobre 10, 2016) – The replay of the August 24th “Cancun Boxing” carta, presented by Pepe Gomez Boxing in association with Neon Star Media, will air this Wednesday night (Ottobre. 12, a partire da 10 p.m. PT / 1 a.m. E, su CBS Sports Network. The event is the third installment of the “Cancun Boxing” series that will air on CBS Sports Network in 2016. Grand Oasis Cancun the Hotel Complex, Cancun`s ONLY Ultimate All-Inclusive Entertainment Resort, will play host to all events in this ongoing series.
Hall-of-Fame announcer Al Bernstein and Sean Wheelock called the action live from ringside in Cancun, Messico.
Future Hall of Fame candidate Jhonny Gonzalez (61-10, 51 KO) defended his World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver super featherweight title for the fourth time, against Japanese invader Hiroysugi Yamamoto (19-12-2, 3 KO), in the scheduled 10-round main event.
Gonzalez is Mexican knockout machine (51 carriera KO) che, as the saying goes, has never been in a bad fight. The 3-time, 2-division world champion Gonzalez, nominale No. 4 by the WBC going into this fight, has been on a mission for one more world title shot.
The 35-year-old Gonzalez has defeated 11 world champions during his illustrious 17-year professional boxing career, including a Who’s Who of the bantamweight, featherweight and super featherweight divisions: Mark Johnson (KO8), Abner Mares (KO1), Jorge Arce (TKO11), Ratanachai Sor Vorapin (KO7), Fernando Montiel (DEC12), Irene Pacheco (TKO9), Elio Rojas (DEC12), Maurice Pastrana (TKO4), Hozumi Hasegawa (TKO4), Francisco Tejedor (TKO1) and Adams Rivas (DEC12).
Yamamoto, who was fighting in North America for the first time, is a former WBC Asian Boxing Council and Asia Pacific title challenger.

Nella co-feature 10 round, Mexico City archrivals Diego “Demoledor” Croce (16-3-1, 13 KO) and Ivan “Macanon” Cano (23-7-2, 15 KO) battled for local welterweight bragging rights, while Mexico City flyweight Lourdes “Le Pequena Lulu” Juarez (17-2 2 KO) took on Cancun’s favorite daughter, Yesenia Gomez (13-4, 8 KO), in an 8-round bout that opened the televised segment of the “Cancun Boxing” evento.
