TORONTO (Juillet 12, 2017) – La tension entre la légende de la boxe Floyd Mayweather et la superstar de l'UFC Conor McGregor a débordé à Toronto mercredi alors que les stars mondiales poursuivaient leur blockbuster World Tour pour annoncer leur Août. 26épreuve de force sur SHOWTIME PPV de T-Mobile Arena à Las Vegas.

Mayweather et McGregor se sont rencontrés mercredi pour la deuxième fois seulement, secouer les pieds à la tête pendant plus de trois minutes lors de la mise au jeu initiale devant une foule en grande partie pro-McGregor à la scène Budweiser de Toronto.

L'artiste multi-platine et lauréat d'un GRAMMY Award, Drake, a fait une apparition spéciale devant les fans de sa ville natale de Toronto « pour assister à l'histoire » pour un événement célébrant ce qu'il a appelé « le plus grand combat de l'histoire des combats ».

Après avoir entendu McGregor promettre à nouveau d'assommer un homme qui n'a jamais été battu, Mayweather a défié McGregor de mettre son argent là où sa bouche est.

« Si tu crois en toi comme tu dis, tu crois en toi, pariez tout votre check de combat," a déclaré Mayweather.

“We know that Guerrero is a tough guy and it’s going to be a rough fight. We prepared really well to go 12-rounds and get the win.
“I love having my brother Brandon in camp and on this card with me. It gives me an opportunity to take my mind off of my fight and focus on Brandon for a bit. It really helps me cope with everything leading up to a big fight.
“Training camp was amazing. We did a lot of sparring with lefties so that my footwork is down. Other than that I was just grinding every day and trying to get better.
“I’m really happy to have the team that I have. Joel Diaz and I work really well together because we have the same mentality, but he can tell me when I need to take a step back.
“New York is one of the places that has held historic fights. Being on that same stage as great fighters from the past is amazing. It’s one of those things that makes you feel like you made it.
“I know how hard Robert Guerrero has worked to get to this point in his career. I want to prove that I can be in the big fights that Guerrero has already had. I’ve had a long time off but I can’t wait to get it Samedi nuit.
“I feel like I have everything in my arsenal to make this a successful night. I’m looking to show all of the things I’ve been working with Joel Diaz on and give the fans a great fight to remember.”

“I’m expecting Omar to come to fight. He’s undefeated with a great record so if it’s not broken, I don’t expect him to change his style.

“This is my 29e time getting into the professional ring so I’m not concerned about the emotions that come with fighting at home. Any kind of energy that I feel, I’m going to use it for fuel in the later rounds when I need it.”
ARTUR PIN
“I want to show that my loss was an accident and that I’m ready to put on a great show for the fans.
“We will see how hard this fight will be. That is up to him, because I will be ready to put it all on the line and get this win. People want to see emotions in the ring and we will see if Kownacki is ready for me.

LOS ANGELES (Juillet 11, 2017) – Légende de la boxe invaincue Floyd “Argent” Mayweather et star de l'UFC “The Notorious” Conor McGregor face à allé face pour la première fois mardi, lors d'une conférence de presse très attendue devant plus de 11,000 fans au STAPLES Center de Los Angeles alors que les deux stars mondiales discutaient de leur Samedi, Août 26 confrontation au T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas dans le cadre d'un événement qui sera produit et distribué en direct par SHOWTIME PPV.

 

Les combattants ont posé pour le premier face-à-face de l'événement sans précédent qui a captivé l'imagination des fans de sport du monde entier. Mayweather et McGregor se rencontreront dans un concours de super poids welters qui sera le premier champion de boxe et MMA se rencontrera dans un match de boxe sanctionné.

LAS VEGAS (Juillet 11, 2017) – A worldwide audience will witness a one-of-a-kind sporting event when legendary boxer and pound-for-pound king Floyd “Argent” Mayweather returns to the ring to battle all-time MMA great and UFC champion “The Notorious” Conor McGregor in a 12-round boxing match. The fight announcement on June 14 captured the world’s attention as fans across the globe anticipate the outcome of this once-in-a-lifetime showdown taking place Samedi, Août. 26 au T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas. The event will be produced and distributed live by SHOWTIME PPV and promoted by Mayweather Promotions.
A 12-time world champion in five weight classes, the 40-year-old Mayweather retired undefeated in September 2015 as one of the greatest to ever step in the ring, buoyed by box office success that saw him shatter nearly all of the revenue records in the sport’s history. Sampson boxing proudly announces the signing of undefeated featherweight Eduardo “Zurdito” Ramirez of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexique, to an exclusive long-term promotional contract.

Ramirez (20-0-2, 7 KOs) is a 24-year-old, highly skilled southpaw with fast hands and super defense. He is managed and trained by Manuel Montiel Jr., brother of the five-time world champion Fernando Montiel.
“I am shocked and honored to be chosen to join the stable of Sampson Lewkowicz,” said Ramirez. “My dream of a world title shot will come true now that he is helping me and that was my goal all along. All I have to do is keep wining and my team will do the rest.”
Montiel, who also manages and trains Sampson Boxing super welterweight contender Jorge Cota, was also happy with the deal.
“I am grateful to Sampson for giving us this opportunity with another of my fighters. We have made him a commitment to work hard to always bring Eduardo into the ring in the best shape possible to go all the way to the world championship.”
For Lewkowicz, the addition of Ramirez and partnership with Montiel are another avenue to bring Mexican boxing talent to the forefront. The well-known promoter already works with such names as Jorge “Pilon” Lara and Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz to name a few.

Sims, une 2013 U.S.. National Amateur Champion and a 2012 Olympic Trials semifinalist, continues to step up in level of opposition as he meets one of the most dangerous opponents of his career in his second ShoBox appearance.

Sims will be looking to improve on his ShoBox performance when he took a unanimous decision from Emmanuel Robles on Jan 20.
