Hughie Fury rated #6 by WBO; Eager to conquer challenges in and out of the ring

Fury captured the WBO’s Intercontinental belt April 30 per 7ojiround technical decision over awkward Fred Kassi. At 21years old, Fury has a perfect 20-0 professional ledger and stopped ten of his opponents. During the last fifteen months, Fury’s passed multiple tough tests having outpointed noteworthy fighters in Andriy Rudenko, George Arias, Dominick Guinn and Kassi.

 

On July 9, Fury looks to shine on his biggest stage yet when he faces an opponent to be named in a ten or twelve round fight. The fight will appear on the undercard of the world heavyweight championship showdown between champion Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena.

 

Hungry but humble, Fury is very pleased with his world ranking and plans to win the WBO world championship.

 

“I’m overwhelmed that the WBO has me listed in the top six in the world,“, - sakė Fury. “I’m a loyal person and will repay the WBO by winning their world title just like my cousin Tyson.”

Even with his notable success and high praise throughout the boxing world, Fury’s been battling a grueling opponent out of the ring that has prevented him from being 100 procentų.

The good news is I have been given treatment to clear my skin once and for all. “I have been training hard, and I look forward to fighting another Boxcino champion like Willie Monroe,” Thompson said. “It should make for a great fight.”

Since winning the Boxcino tournament, when he stopped Donovan Dennis in the eighth round on May 22, 2015, Fedosov has been out of the ring with lingering injuries. Now he is back training at the famed Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles readying for his ring return.
“I am glad that I will finally be getting back in the ring,” Fedosov said. “I got some time to rest and now I feel better and stronger than ever. I just want to get in that ring on June 11. I am looking forward to putting on a great show as I look for a major fight.”

Heredia, Merida, Meksika, will be looking for a signature victory to catapult his career and become a player in the suddenly open heavyweight division.

NEW YORK (Gegužė 16, 2016) – New York State Boxing Hall-of-Famer Edvinas Viruet will be Ring 8’s guest speaker at Tuesday night’s (Gegužė 17) monthly meeting, starting aT 7 p.m. IR, at O’Neill’s Restaurant, adresu 64-21 53rd Drive in Maspeth, Niujorkas.
“Edwin was inducted into the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2016,” Žiedas 8 prezidentas Bobas Duffy sakė. “He was unable to attend the induction ceremony, so we will present him with his Hall of Fame belt at our meeting. Edwin embodies what the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame (NYSBHOF) is all about in terms of his overall achievements and accomplishments as a New York State fighter. Viruet (32-6-2) was a standout amateur boxer, albeit brief, registering a perfect 18-0 įrašas, highlighted by his winning two New York Golden Gloves Championship in 1968 as a 118-pound sub-novice and the following year in the 126-pound division, Edwin and his brother,Adolpho Viruet, were declared co-champions.

Lewiston, Meino (Gegužė 16, 2016) - Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF) returns to Lewiston, Meino birželio 18, 2016 with the fight promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and professional boxing extravaganza, “NEF 24: PROMISED LAND.” NEF executives have announced the signing of a professional featherweight MMA bout to the card featuring Mattas “Kenas lėlės” Denning (3-2) ir Brandon Bushaw (1-2).

 

Denning is coming off a huge submission victory over Derek Shorey (3-7) this past weekend at “NEF 23” in Hyannis, Masačusetsas. The first time the pair met in 2014, it took Denning a merir 2:28 to submit Shorey. Denning topped that performance in the rematch by finishing Shorey in just 37-seconds. The win was a rebound for Denning after back-to-back losses in the NEF MMA cage. Just last month in Lewiston, he was stopped in the first round by Josh Harvey (1-0). Dabar, he will look to make it two wins in a row when he takes on Bushaw on June18.
“I’d like to thank New England fights for giving me another opportunity to show my skills and how hard I have been working,” sakė Denning. “This is my third fight in eight weeks. Hyannis, Masačusetsas (Gegužė 15, 2016) - Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF), Amerikos numeris vienas regioninis kova skatinimas, held its most recent event, “NEF 23: CAGE THE CAPE” on Saturday night at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC) in Hyannis, Masačusetsas. The HYCC was at capacity for the first sanctioned mixed-martial-arts (MMA) show ever held on Cape Cod. The venue opened the upstairs walking track to give standing-room-only fans more elbow room. The crowd was electric all night for the eight-fight card presented by NEF.

 

Team Juniko, based out of Hyannis and Hanover, Masačusetsas, was a perfect 5-0 on the night. Fabian Miranda (3-0), Thomas Lee Davis, Jaunesnysis. (2-0), Ed Forlenza (1-0), ir Kylie O’Hearn (1-0) all picked up wins for the team on the amateur portion of the card.

 

It was O’Hearn’s bout with Angela Young (1-2) of Young’s MMA in Bangor, Maine that will be remembered for years to come by all in attendance. The two women battled back and forth for three grueling rounds before O’Hearn was declared the winner by unanimous decision on the judges’ veiklos rodikliais. The fight will be a serious contender for “Kova Metų” in the northeast by the time 2016 comes to an end.

 

Team Juniko member Brendan Battles (1-0) was victorious in the main event of the evening via technical knockout over Mike Hansenas (4-4). DEONTAY WILDER STATEMENT ON HIS TITLE DEFENSE FIGHT AGAINST ALEXANDER POVETKIN

GALI 15, 2016 – In the wake of the news on Friday that Alexander Povetkin tested positive for the banned substance meldonium, WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder and his representatives have been made aware of the WBC’s decision on Sunday that the fight will not occur in Moscow on May 21.
“I’m very disappointed that due to Povetkin’s failed drug test the fight is not going to happen on May 21 Maskvoje,” said Deontay Wilder. “I had worked very hard to prepare myself for this important title defense, spending the last two weeks training in England to get accustomed to fighting in Europe. I wanted to give the fans a great show, but we understand the WBC’s position that the fight occur on an even playing field.”
Povetkin, the WBC No. 1 heavyweight championship contender, tested positive for the substance in a urine test conducted by the Las Vegas-based Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) balandžio 27.

He and his team have suffered substantial damages as a result. Any talk of rescheduling by Mr. Ryabinskiy at this point is unfounded and premature. The 30-year-old Wilder (36-0, 35 Kos) and his team were supposed to fly to Moscow on Sunday for a week of preparation and promotion leading up to the fight. Dabar, Wilder will return home to Tuscaloosa, Alabama and await further information from the WBC.
“This is a huge disappointment and a setback to my goals in boxing. I want to be an active heavyweight champion and it is still my goal to collect all the belts and become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world,” Wilder sakė.
