New Jersey promoter makes first wave of signings
All will be in action on Sabato, November 12th at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City
Millville NJ (Ottobre 3, 2016)–Rising Promotions is proud to announce the signings of super middleweight Isiah Seldon, super lightweight’s Marvin Johnson & Dan Murray, peso gallo Dallas Holden, cruiserweight David Sparks and featherweight Dion Sparks to exclusive promotional contracts.
They join undefeated heavyweight Quian Davis (3-0-2, 2 KO) as the first group of fighters to ink contracts under the Rising Promotions banner.
Davis is coming off a 28 second knockout this past Sabato night in Trenton, New Jersey over Jonathan Hafley
Seldon of Atlantic City, New Jersey ha un record di 9-1 con tre ko.

SANTA MONICA, CALIF (Ottobre 3, 2016) – A welterweight showdown pitting Paul Daley "Semtex" (38-14-2) contro Derek "Il barbaro" Anderson (14-2) as well as a heavyweight bout featuring Sergei Kharitonov (23-5) contro Javy “Eye Candy” Ayala (9-5) complete the SPIKE-televised main card of "Bellator 163: McGeary vs. Davis" su Novembre 4 al Mohegan Sun Arena di Uncasville, Conn.

Petr Petrov earns mandatory WBA lightweight title shot with stoppage over Michael Perez

Indio, COME (Ottobre 3, 2016) – Petr Petrov (38-4-2, 19 KO) earned a mandatory world title shot at the WBA Lightweight title with a stoppage after 6 rounds over Michael Perez in a scheduled 12 round bout at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort in Indio, California.
Nel secondo round 2, Perez was bloodied over his right eye, and Petrov was cut on his forehead. Later in the round, Petrov dropped Perez with a hard right to the head. Petrov continued the assault as he battered and hurt Perez with evenly dispersed punches to the head and body. As the blood continued over Perez’s right eye, Petrov never let up.

Finalmente, trainer Robert Garcia decided his fighter had enough and stopped the fight after the 6th round.

“I just want to thank everybody who made this win possible. My wife Carolina, My family back home in Spain and Russia. This victory is what I have been working for to be so close to a world title shot. This was one of the best training camps I have had, and I want to thank my trainer/ manager Danny Zamora and my strength and conditioning coach Jerry Arias,” Ha detto Petrov. “Mike Perez is a true warrior, and he came to fight, and it was great fight. All I want to do is go home to Spain get some rest and wait for the phone call from my promoter to let me know when I will be fighting for the world title.”

EX-TEAMMATES TO FIGHT IN MAIN EVENT OF NEF 26

Lewiston, Maine (Ottobre 3, 2016) – Proprio oggi, New England Combattimenti (NEF) executives announced the main event of “NEF 26: SUPREMACY.” “Il” Ryan Sanders (11-8) dovrà affrontare Jon Lemke (5-6) in a lightweight bout at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston on Sabato, Novembre 19.

 

At one time, Sanders and Lemke were teammates at Marcus Davis’s Team Irish gym in Brewer, Maine. That all changed when Sanders left and joined cross-town rival Young’s MMA in Bangor.

 

“I’m very happy to be fighting back in Lewiston,” said Sanders. “I’m thankful that Jon took this fight seeing how several top-ten lightweights turned it down. But that’s why I like Jon, he’s a fighter’s fighter and he never backs down from a tough fight. CES AND NEF FORCED TO CANCEL CO-PROMOTIONAL EVENT

Lewiston, Maine (Ottobre 3, 2016) – The CES and NEF co-promotion scheduled for Novembre 4 in Lewiston is no more. Executives from both companies announced today that the mixed-martial-arts event had been canceled due to matchmaking issues.

 

With several fighters pulling off the AXS TV portion of the card, and others turning down fights offered by matchmakers, and with the 30-day deadline to submit the fight card to the state commission for approval looming, the two companies were left with no choice but to call the event off.

 

“We are disappointed that this event didn’t materialize as planned,” said CES Vice President and Director of Legal Affairs Jimmy Burchfield, Jr. “But we are optimistic that we can make it happen in 2017.”

 

Details will follow for CES 39.

 

“It’s unfortunate, but we had no other option,” said NEF promoter Nick DiSalvo. “When one door closes, another opens.”

 

The door that has opened is Sabato, Novembre 19 al Androscoggin Bank Colisee. NEF will present “NEF 26,” and it will feature the promotion’s fighters who had already been scheduled to compete on Novembre 4 plus many others. “Once we made the mutual decision to cancel the event,” said NEF matchmaker Matt Peterson, “I got on the phone and immediately started making calls. Within hours we had already assembled a spectacular card that we’ll be sharing with fans this week. No one will be disappointed when they make the trek to the Colisee on November 19th. We have an explosive event planned.”

 

For those who have already purchased tickets for Novembre 4 through the Colisee box office, they will have the option of either a full refund or using their ticket for Novembre 19. Fans will have until this Friday, Ottobre 7 a 4 pm EDT to call the box office at 207-783-2009 x 525 to request a full refund. The box office cannot refund tickets purchased from fighters. Any fan who purchased a ticket from a fighter and would like a refund will have to return their ticket to the fighter for the refund. Fans who choose to keep their tickets for Novembre 19do not have to do anything. All tickets printed with the “Novembre 4” date will be honored at the door on Novembre 19.

“Mi sento benissimo,” Ruiz exclaimed. “I took this last minute fight but I was ready for it. Hanzel is a tough fighter. He has guts. I didn’t think he’d to the full 10 round. This is an opportunity that will open a lot of doors for me. He knew he was coming to fight and I as ready for him.”

In a good technical fight with a lot of give-and-take action from start to finish, imbattutoStephon “Showstopper” Giovane (15-0-3, 6 KO) sconfitto Tony Lopez, Jr. (11-2, 4 KO) in a battle of gritty southpaws. Former Fighting Cab Driver David Emanuel Peralta Moving to Miami to Train with Herman Caicedo

The world’s most unexpected top contender, red-hot welterweight David Emanuel Peralta, has left his cab-driving job behind in his native Argentina and will now be training with well-known coach Herman Caicedo at Caicedo Sports Training Center in Miami, Florida.
Peralta (26-2-1, 14 KO), who won a clear but surprising split-decision victory over multi-division world champion Robert Guerrero in August, will now find himself preparing for his upcoming fight in December beside several world-class names including Interim WBA World Heavyweight Champion Luis “King Kong” Ortiz, former WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Juan Carlos Payano, Claudio Marrero, Yenifel Vicente, Ramon Luis and many more top professionals.
33-year-old Peralta says he can’t believe the path his life has now taken.

“I am honored to be coming to the United States to train with a great trainer like Herman Caicedo and beside so many great names in the sport. I will train harder than ever to stay in boxing as a top fighter. Thank you to my promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz, and to Herman for helping me do this.”

Caicedo, who has also trained several past champions including Shannon Briggs, Al Cole, Yuriorkis Gamboa and more, says Peralta is a welcome addition to his gym.
“I am excited to have David as part of the family of champions we are creating here at Caicedo Sports,” said Caicedo. “His win over Robert Guerrero has put him on the map, and I look forward to helping David get to the next level, the championship level.”
Promoter Lewkowicz, known for finding hidden gems in foreign boxing markets including Manny Pacquiao and Sergio “Chiedere” Martinez among many others, says Peralta is on the prowl for his next victim.
“He will fight anyone,” ha detto Lewkowicz. “Any champion or top contender can say the word and we will fight them. David has great sparring partners available and the time to properly prepare. He is very, very dangerous to anyone in the world. He’s going to prove that.”
