Warrior’s Boxing’s revived “Windy City Fight Night” continued its growth v sobotu night in Chicago, as the largest crowd yet watched a seven-bout card at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
In the thrilling main event, Chicago junior middleweight Achour Esho (13-0, 8 KO) had to survive a nearly disastrous first round to stop crosstown rival Anthony Abbruzzese (4-6, 3 KO) in three.
Abbruzzese came out blazing in the first, culminating in a sustained barrage of punches that could have easily led to a stoppage. To Esho’s credit, he survived and walked wearily to his stool.

Bellator 173: McGeary vs. Fields

Hailing from Andover, Anglie, the 34-year-old Liam McGeary (11-1) will make the short trek up to Northern Ireland’s capital for the first time in his career, where he will once again compete in a main event. The former Bellator MMA light heavyweight champion will enter the cage for the 10thtime under the Scott Coker-led promotion, where he has posted an 8-1 record with seven finishes. Following an 11-fight winning streak to begin his professional career, McGeary finally experienced the sour taste of defeat, když Phil Davis wrestled the title away from him at Bellator 163. McGeary has consistently proven to be one of the most dangerous strikers and submission artists in the 205-pound division, finishing his victim in 10 na 11 kariéry vyhraje, including eight in the opening frame. Having made his Bellator debut in London this past July in London, Gallagher followed up in December with a submission victory over Anthony Taylor in front of a raucous home crowd at the 3Arena in Dublin. Gallagher now takes on Kirill Medvedovsky (7-3) in the co-main event of the evening.

 

Another top prospect from the famed SBG powerhouse, Sinead Kavanaghová (4-0) returns to the Bellator cage against 32-year-old Parisian Iona Razafiarison (1-1, 1 NC) in a 140-pound catchweight matchup “KO” Kavanagh, who fights out of nearby Dublin Ireland will no doubt be looking to collect her third knockout on Únor 24.

 

BAMMA 28: Parke Vs. Redmond

“Stormin” Norman Parke (22-5-1) from Bushmills, Antrim is no stranger to BAMMA events, as he has been spotted numerous times cornering team mates as part of the Next Gen Northern Ireland fight team. One of Europe’s most sought after free agents prior to putting pen to paper with BAMMA, Parke now goes in pursuit of the coveted BAMMA World Lightweight title.

Paul “Redser” Redmond (11-6) landed a victorious homecoming of his own at BAMMA 26, as Redser took out the double tough Chris “The Menace” Stringer to claim the adulation of his hometown support. Redmond now steps into one of the biggest fights ever announced in Ireland, as he takes on Parke in this hugely anticipated match up.

There will be two days of boxing basics followed by a sanctioned all female boxing show.
The training will be handled by Gleason’s top female trainers and our female World Champions.
The amateur show will be sanctioned by USABoxingmetro. You will need a book to fight.

He became a three-division titlist when he captured the vacant WBC Lightweight World Championship in 2014 with a knockout of Javier Prieto. The 31-year-old defended the belt twice in 2015 with knockouts of Kevin Mitchell and Ivan Cano before being named “Champion in Recess” by the WBC because of inactivity due to injuries. Linares returned following an 11-month layoff to face Crolla in his hometown of Manchester, outpointing the champion 115-114, 117-111 a 115-113 in a back-and-forth and bloody battle. Yoka first made a splash by winning the French Junior National Championship in 2008 a 2009 before claiming a silver medal at the 2010 Youth World Championships. He continued his rise to prominence by winning French National Championships in 2012 a 2014 while also defeating current heavyweight world champion Joseph Parker at the 2010 Youth Olympic games.

NEW YORK (Leden 23, 2017) – Boxing journalist Steve Farhood was the special guest speaker at last Tuesday night’s Ring 8 monthly meeting held at O’Neill’s Restaurant in Maspeth, New York.
Farhood is being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this June. The popular Brooklynite, is the former editor-and-chief of The Ring and KO Magazine, in addition to being a veteran television commentator, including his current role for Showtime’s ShoBox: Nová generace since its inception in 2001. V 2002, he received the prestigious Sam Taub Award from the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) for Excellence in Broadcasting Journalism.
“The members of Ring 8 enjoyed what Steve Farhood had to say,” Kroužek 8 prezident Jack Hirsch řekl. “He enlightened them about facets of the boxing business many were unaware of.”

Farhood and Duffy are inductees in the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame (NYSBHOF), which is sponsored by Ring 8, while Hirsch is past president of the BWAA.

ST. PETERSBURG, Rusko (Leden 23, 2017) – Neporažený M-1 Challenge Welterweight vítěz Alexey Kunchenko Nyní bude napadeno kolegou ruštině Maksim Grabovich, který nahradil zraněného Shavkat Rakhmonov, Březen 3, na M-1 Challenge 75 v Moskvě.
M-1 GP middleweight mistr Alexander “Bouře” Shlemenko (54-9-0. 1 NC, M-1: 4-0-0),trojnásobný mistr Bellator, vůle titulek M-1 Challenge 75 proti soupeři, že brzy bude oznámeno.
Kunchenko (15-0-0, M-1: 7-0), bojuje z Ťumeň, Rusko, Je Muay Thai specialista, který zachytil svou M-1 Challenge Welterweight pás titulu loni v dubnu na M-1 Challenge 65, při obraně titlist Murad Abdulaev odešel v průběhu čtvrtého kola.
V non-titulový boj, Kunchenko vyhrál tři kulaté jednohlasné rozhodnutí v průběhu Eduardo Ramon na M-1 Challenge na M-1 Challenge 70 loni v září. Jeho první titul byl obrana Prosinec 5 na M-1 Challenge 72, ve kterém Kunchenko vyhrál 5-kulaté jednohlasné rozhodnutí přes Abdulaev v novém zápase.
Grabovich (5-2-0, M-1: 4-0-0), bojuje z proslavené Starý Oskol v Rusku, získal své poslední tři zápasy kromě toho, že neporažený ve čtyřech m-1 Global zápasů. Jeho podpis vítězství k dnešnímu dni bylo v červnu loňského roku na M-1 Challenge 68, ve kterém Grabovich vyhrál tři kulaté jednohlasné rozhodnutí v boji Noci.
V ostatních oznámil hlavních bojů karet, Americká lehká Keon “The Black Assassin” Caldwell (11-3-0, M-1: 0-0-0) dělá svou M-1 Global debut proti bývalému M-1 Challenge lehké šampion Maxim Divnich (12-2-0 (M-1: 6-2-0), zatímco ruský welterweight vyhlídkou Sergey “Pouliční rváč” Romanov (10-1-0, M-1: 3-0-0) čelí ruský veterán Magomed “White Wolf” Sultanakhmedov (18-5-0, M-1: 10-1-0).
