Undefeated Heavyweight “Brutal” Brendan Barrett back in the boxing ring this Saturday night at The Claridge in Atlantic City

Anthony “Juice” Young battles Samuel Amoako in main event

Plus undefeated Yurik Mamedov

Also seeing action: Dan Pasciolla and Gabriel Pham
PRESSEMEDDELELSE

Atlantic City, NJ (Marts 8, 2017)–Undefeated sværvægter Brendan Barrett returns to the boxing denne lørdag nat på Claridge Hotel i Atlantic City.
Barrett will take on Philly tough guy Brian Donahue in a bout scheduled for 4-rounds.
The Show is promoted by Rising Promotions.
Barrett for Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey has a pro boxing record of 4-0-2 med 4 knockouts, and will be making his return to the ring after being out of the squared circle for 11 måneder. In his last boxing match, he stopped Alando Pugh in 2 rounds in Atlantic City.
Barrett, who is an MMA veteran of 19 fights last fought in the cage on September 23rd.
Everything is going well,”Said Barrett. “My focus has been on boxing, and since my last boxing match, I have been focusing more on strength and conditioning plus my diet. Fans will see a bigger version of me. You can really see the transformation as I been concentrating a lot on what I eat and meal prepping on my Facebook and Instagram accounts.
In Donahue, he is facing a guy whose record reads just 3-13-3, but Donahue is known for his hard nosed style and is always a tough-out.
Donahue is a tough guy. A brawler, and is a hard guy to stop
Den 11 month layoff was not something that Barrett wanted. He was scheduled to fight during the summer, but opponents have been hard to come by.
I am always looking at opportunities to fight. I had 7 eller 8 opponents fall through on me, so I took the MMA fight in September.
Going back and forth between boxing isn’t a problem for Barrett as he has a gameplan on how he bides his time between the 2 sports.
It all depends on the opportunity. I make more money in MMA, but I am very interested in boxing. After this fight there could be some boxing opportunities in China, so I am still gathering all the information on that.
This will be Barrett’s 3rd consecutive fight on the boardwalk, and that is conducive for his fans in Little Egg Harbor, which is just up the coast on the Jersey Shore.
My job is to fight, but it is always great to have the fans and support. When the bell rings, It’s only me and him in there, but to have my fans there gives me more motivation. I am looking for an exciting and explosive fight på lørdag.”
I want to thank my sponsors which are Sweet Jenny’s in Barnegat, The Law Offices of Paulie Haberman, Adventure Vapors in Manahawkin and Eric Sauer of Natural Pharmacy.

KNOCKOUT ARTIST UP NEXT FOR HARVEY AT NEF 28

Lewiston, Maine (Marts 8, 2017) – New England Fights (NEF) presents its next mixed-martial-arts event “NEF 28: INVINCIBLE” på lørdag, April 29, 2017 på Androscoggin Bank Colisee i Lewiston, Maine. Tidligere i dag, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional featherweight bout to the card. Josh “Hook OnHarvey (3-0) mødes Eric “Penge” Mendiola (2-1) på en kamp vægt på 145 pounds.

Harvey, the former NEF amateur division lightweight champion, is undefeated to date since making his professional debut last spring. With a solid amateur boxing background, as well as the pedigree of a two-time Maine state wrestling champion, matchmakers have had difficulty in finding opponents willing to step into the cage with him. The Young’s MMA prospect has displayed both devastating knockout power and slick submission skills throughout his career thus far. Senest, Harvey submitted Richie Collingham (3-4) sidste måned på “NEF 27.

“'Penge’ and I are the type of fight that takes the spotlight, and I know it’s one that people will be talking about for a long time,” remarked Harvey on the upcoming fight. “I’m prepared for war in this kill-or-be-killed contest.

Mendiola, a product of Mohawk Valley MMA in the Utica, New York area, will make his first appearance in the NEF cage on April 29, but he is far from a newcomer to the sport of MMA. He had more than twenty amateur fights prior to turning pro in 2015. Mendiola has built a reputation as a knockout artist. After numerous knockout finishes in the amateur ranks, Mendiola put the lights out for his first two pro opponents, both in under a minute. He will look to rebound from his first loss as a pro last fall.

I’m a different kind of focused for this fight, mentalt og fysisk,” stated Mendiola when reached for comment. “Harvey looks like a tough kid with a good record, and I’m up for the challenge. I have a bad taste in my mouth from a couple of months ago, and I’m coming to lay it all on the line and showcase all of my skills. Let’s get to it!”

I have been working on getting better on defense, boksning, just my balance and skills.

The Show is promoted by Rising Promotions.
Pham of Pleasantville, New Jersey har en registrering af 7-1 med 3 knockouts, and is coming off an explosive 2nd round stoppage over Jose Valderrama on January 28th at The Claridge.
“Alt har været stor,”said Pham.I am getting sharp, and working on my quickness and reflexes. “I have been training the whole time. I went right back in the gym on the Mandag after my last fight.
Fields is a late-replacement, so that took some last minute studying for Pham.
