The southpaw has defeated seven world champions during his outstanding career: Junior Witter, Terron Millet, DeMarcus Corley, Raphael Pineda, Corey Spinks, Joshua Clottey et(interim champ) Lucas Matthysse. The Brooklyn native has an outstanding 11-8 (9 KOs) record in world title fights.

“I believe this fight can be life changing, not only for me, but also for upcoming New Mexico fighters,” Torres commented. “Boxing doesn’t get a lot of attention in my state.”
Torres is a protégé of the late 5-time world championJohnny Tapia. His brother-in-law, Chris Chavez, now trains Torres, who has been sparring with fellow New Mexican and former world junior middleweight champion, Austin Trout, to prepare for the left-handed Judah.
Torres is also a professional barber who’d like to clip Judah, pour ainsi dire. “I haven’t had a promoter or manager,” he explained the need for him to be a barber as well as a pro boxer. “I’ve always had to work to pay bills. It’s just had to be that way in my boxing career.”

LAS VEGAS (Février 23, 2016) – CBS Sports Network will be home of the new monthly professional boxing series, “Knockout Night at The D,” which officially launches Samedinuit, Mars 12, au centre-ville de Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC).
It has also been announced that the “Knockout Night at the D” broadcast team will feature a pair of Hall-of-Fame announcers, commentateur Al Bernstein et Jim “JR” Ross will handle blow-by-blow responsibilities, as well as former world featherweight championKevin “Flushing Flash” Kelley, who will conduct post fight and celebrity interviews.

Bernstein is arguably the preeminent boxing announcer in the world. En 1980, Bernstein joined ESPN as its boxing analyst. Although he is best known for his work in wrestling, Ross is an experienced sports commentator who has called professional boxing and mixed material arts events. He has also developed his own brand of barbeque sauces and cookbooks.
“I am beyond excited to have this opportunity to broadcast big time, world-class boxing from the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas,” Ross remarked. “Working with Boxing Hall of Famer Al Bernstein, the best analyst in the game, and with the ‘Flushing Flash’, Kevin Kelly, equates to a unique broadcasting trifecta. Ring the bell…it’s Slobber Knocker time!”
Kelley (60-10-2, 39 KOs) captured the World Boxing Council featherweight championship December 4, 1993 in Reno, by way of a unanimous 12-round decision, and he successfully defended his title twice against Jesse Benavidas et Jose Vida Ramos. Kelley, who lives in Las Vegas, is an experienced boxing analyst.
“I would like to thank the team of CBS Sports Network, the D Hotel, Al Bernstein and Jim Ross for this life changing moment,” Kelley commented. “With my hands-on fighting experience and their knowledge of boxing, we come together perfect like a hand in glove.”

Each “Knockout Night at the D” event during the 2016 series will feature a variety of compelling matches, including world title bouts, world-class matches, tournament eliminators and special attraction bouts, plus pro-debuts of future boxing stars

Il serait également devenir le premier boxeur de l'histoire à remporter cinq titres mondiaux dans cinq divisions différentes. Hearns a été nommé Ring Magazine Fighter de l'année en 1980 et 1984 et est surtout connu pour ses combats avec Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler et Roberto Duran. Il a été intronisé au Temple de la renommée en boxe 2012.

Zab Judah Headlines Nuit du GCP boxe dans l'espace à Westbury sur Septembre 10

Ancien super Undisputed Champion Zab 'GCP Signes Brooklyn’ Juda à un contrat de co-promotionnel

Greg Cohen, de Greg Cohen Promotions est fier d'annoncer la signature de champion du monde cinq fois et ancien Undisputed Champion Zab mondiale Welterweight “Super” Juda (42-9, 29 KOs) de Brooklyn, New York, d'un accord de co-promotion, le long avec Super Juda Promotions de Juda.

Juda, 37, seront en compétition dans la division des super-légers avec un oeil vers le retour à son statut d'élite de la boxe.

Sa première apparition sous la nouvelle bannière promotionnelle sera en Septembre, sur une carte de GCP télévisée.

“Je suis ravi d'être en ajoutant une superstar du calibre de Zab à ma liste promotionnel,” a déclaré Greg Cohen. “Zab a été avec chaque grand combattant de cette époque et battu beaucoup d'entre eux. Il est une légende de la boxe Brooklyn et toujours une force à laquelle il faut compter au 140 lbs.”

Lcomme Vegas (Juillet 21, 2015) – Jacques “Extinction des feux” Toney, un champion de 12 temps du monde dans cinq catégories de poids différentes, a confirmé qu'il apparaîtra au Convention Center de Las Vegas pour la deuxième Expo Fan Box annuelle, Samedi, Sept. 12, 2015. L'Expo Fan Box coïncidera avec le dernier combat de Floyd Mayweather Jr. et le week-end indépendance du Mexique.
Toney est un ancien IBF moyens, super-moyens et champion du monde cruiserweight. Il a été considéré comme l'un des plus grands combattants défensifs de son époque et était invaincu dans sa première 46 concours épisodes. Toney a combattu au niveau élite depuis plus de trois décennies et est une valeur sûre première Hall of Famer de vote.
