This marks the fifth consecutive year of the event airing on FloWrestling. The annual BTS youth benefit will take place on Monday, May 6, from Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The 10^th annual event, moved indoors for the first time in several years, and will feature stars of Team USA vs. NCAA Champions, BTS youth matches and more. Additional details will follow closer to the event.

The Benefit Celebration at The Wilson (132 W. 27^th St.) will directly follow the wrestling competition. **LOS ANGELES** – Bellator’s return to Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. on Saturday, May 11 is stacked with a must-see lineup of fights, headlined by current lightweight titleholder **Michael Chandler** (19-4) in his attempt to become the only man to defeat both Pitbull Brothers and put an end to their years-long rivalry, when he defends his belt against Bellator’s 145-pound champ **Patricio “Pitbull”** (28-4) in the main event of *Bellator 221 –* which will be streamed live exclusively on DAZN.

The co-headliner will see former two-time Bellator welterweight champion **Douglas Lima** (30-7) face undefeated **Michael “Venom” Page** (14-0), better known to fans as “MVP,” in the first semi-final matchup in Bellator’s Welterweight World Grand Prix. Each fighter has their eyes set on moving one step closer to becoming Bellator welterweight champ and taking home one million dollars.

In addition, arguably one of the world’s top featherweight prospects **A.J. One of the most-decorated fighters in Bellator history, Michael Chandler reclaimed the lightweight championship this past December to become a three-time titleholder. “Iron” has defeated a who’s who among the division’s elite, including **Brent Primus**, **Benson Henderson**, **Patricky Pitbull** (x2), **Goiti Yamauchi** and Eddie Alvarez. The former University of Missouri wrestler from High Ridge, Mo., who now calls Nashville home, has had a slow-building feud with his May 11 opponent, verbally sparring with his foe following wins over Patricio’s brother Patricky and on social media. Now, the time for talk is over and both will enter the Bellator cage to finally settle the score.

Hailing from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, two-time featherweight champ Patricio “Pitbull” will enter the Bellator cage for a promotional record 21th time. With impressive wins to his name over **Daniel Straus** (x3), **Daniel Weichel** (x2) and **Pat Curran**, he most recently defeated **Emmanuel Sanchez** via unanimous decision at *Bellator 209*. Moving up a weight class for the first time since *Bellator 160* when he met Benson Henderson, “Pitbull” is planning to leave his mark in a new division and go down as one of the all-time greats. Having earned a finish in 20 of his 28 wins as a professional, the reigning champion has become synonymous with excitement and fans can certainly expect more fireworks when looks to become a simultaneous two-division champion on May 11.

Fighting out of Atlanta, Ga., by way of Goiania, Brazil, Douglas “The Phenom” Lima has been a mainstay at the top of the 170-pound division for the better part of three years. With wins against the likes of **Lorenz Larkin**, **Andrey Koreshkov** (x2), **Paul Daley** and Ben Saunders, the 31-year-old advanced to the semifinals of the Welterweight World Grand Prix after a technical submission win against Koreshkov. A winner of nine out of his last 11 contests, the American Top Team product remains set on showing the world how dominant he truly is.

One of the most unorthodox strikers to ever compete, “MVP” has steadily worked his way up the welterweight ranks since signing with the organization in 2013. Known for his unique style and personality both inside the cage and out, every Michael Page fight is must-see entertainment. With an undefeated record of 14-0, and 11 of those victories coming by stoppage, the 31-year-old out of London Shootfighters advanced to the semifinals following a closely contested unanimous decision win against rival Paul Daley at *Bellator 216.*

Fighting out of Long Beach, Calif., A.J. McKee puts his undefeated record on the line against the former champ on May 11. Currently training alongside the likes of **Aaron Pico**,**“Baby Slice”** and **Joey Davis** at The Body Shop under the tutelage of his father, MMA veteran Antonio McKee, the second-generation fighter has been making quite the name for himself since joining the professional ranks. At just 23 years of age, “Mercenary” has set the Bellator record for consecutive wins at 13, having defeated **Daniel Crawford**, **Brian Moore**, **John “Macapa**, Justin Lawrence and **Dominic Mazzotta** along the way. Known for his highlight-reel finishes, McKee will look to remain unbeaten and keep his name etched in the record books when he meets Curran at *Bellator 221.* A former two-time Bellator world featherweight champion, **Pat Curran** returns to the cage near his hometown looking to earn another shot at gold. Fighting out of Crystal Lake, Ill., “Paddy Mike” is in the midst of a three-fight win streak that includes victories over **Emmanuel Sanchez**, **John “Macapa”**and Georgi Karakhanyan. A native of Perry, Okla., Hager emphatically showed the world that he belongs in the sport of MMA with a submission win over J.W. Kizer at *Bellator 214* in January. A collegiate wrestler at the University of Oklahoma, where he was an All-American and set the school record for most pins at the 285-pound weight class in a single season with 30. Following graduation and a conversation with legendary pro wrestling announcer and fellow Oklahoma Sooner, Jim Ross, Hager made the transition to professional wrestling and signed with World Wrestling Entertainment. While in WWE, Hager would go on to claim multiple coveted professional titles during his time with the organization, including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, ECW Championship and WWE United States Championship. Now, the man also known to fans around the globe as “Jack Swagger” will return to action MMA action in Chicago against a soon-to-be-announced heavyweight opponent.

Garcia is also a four-time champion of Mexico’s Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide professional wrestling organization, and the wife of former, three-time world boxing champion Jhonny Gonzalez.

USA World Team to Battle in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden for Beat the Streets Annual Benefit on May 6

**Members of the 2018 U.S. Men’s and Women’s World Team to compete in annual fundraiser to help raise money for youth non-profit Beat the Streets**

**NEW YORK–** Beat the Streets Wrestling (BTS), the largest grassroots inner city wrestling program in the United States, and USA Wrestling announced today that the annual BTS benefit will be held on Monday, May 6, at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. This is the first time in six years that the annual event will be held indoors.

Beat the Streets, Inc. will invite select members of the 2018 U.S. Men’s Freestyle World Team, which placed second in the 2018 World Championships and won seven World medals, as well as select top USA women’s wrestlers. The athletes will compete in freestyle wrestling. Team USA’s opponents will be announced at a later date.

“When we decided to move the event indoors we knew there was only one place iconic enough to host it – Madison Square Garden,” said Beat the Streets Executive Director
**Brendan Buckley**

. “Thanks to the wrestling community, this event has really grown over the past few years and by having it at the Hulu Theater at MSG many more fans will be able to experience the event live in person.”

This year celebrates the 10^th straight year of Beat the Streets Benefit competitions, which began in 2010 and have since become a major showcase of the best of international wrestling. This unique and electrifying annual event has helped Beat the Streets raise millions of dollars to support local youth wrestling programs which empower young people in New York City.
The first Beat the Streets Benefit was held on the U.S.S. Intrepid, an aircraft carrier docked on the west side of Manhattan. Since then, the benefit has taken place at other notable New York City spots like Grand Central Station and Times Square. Team USA has faced off against teams from around the world including Japan, Cuba, Russia and Iran. Last year, the competition was hosted at the new Pier 17 in the Seaport District and included the highly anticipated Burroughs vs. Chamizo match.

The 2018 U.S. World Team, which competed in Budapest, Hungary, featured 2018 World champions Kyle Snyder, David Taylor and J’den Cox, 2018 World silver medalist Kyle Snyder, and 2018 World bronze medalists Joe Colon, Jordan Burroughs and Nick Gwiazdowski. Burroughs and Snyder are both multiple Olympic and World champions. Others on the USA team included 2016 World champion Logan Stieber, two-time World bronze medalist James Green and 2017 World silver medalist Thomas Gilman.

New York City’s Madison Square Garden is one of the most famous sporting and entertainment venues in the world. The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden is an impressive venue with the capacity to seat over 5,000. The theater has hosted notable wrestling events including the 1998 Goodwill Games wrestling competition and the 2017 Grapple at the Garden college wrestling event.

PAT KELLY TO COMPETE IN FINAL MMA FIGHT ON SEPTEMBER 8 IN BANGOR

Maine (August 7, 2018) – New England Fights (NEF) will hold its next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 35: Wicked Season,” on September 8 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur lightweight title fight to the card. Pat Kelly (4-0) is scheduled to defend his strap against the challenge of fellow undefeated MMA competitor Tim Manning (2-0).

The fight will be the final contest for the 53-year-old Kelly who began competing in MMA four years ago in his late 40s. He brought to the cage unmatched wrestling credentials earned through a lifetime on the mats. Kelly is nothing short of a legend in Maine wrestling circles. He won a state championship as a senior competing for the former Camden-Rockport High School. Kelly went on to wrestle for the University of Maine where he claimed a New England title and competed in the national NCAA championships. Later, as a coach Kelly would lead Camden-Rockport and Camden Hills Regional High School to multiple state championships. Among the students he coached is current UFC star Tim Boetsch (21-11). Kelly was inducted into the Maine Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2007.

“I started this journey five years ago in Bangor with Young’s MMA,” said Kelly. “It is only fitting I have my farewell fight in the same great city. I am very grateful to NEF for the opportunity to fight in their cage and ultimately win an ammy title. To me, age is simply a number. I have searched for tough and competitive challenges my entire career, and this fight is certainly another big challenge.”

For all his accomplishments in wrestling, Kelly’s time in the MMA cage has been impressive as well. He was able to finish his first three bouts on his way to earning a crack at the NEF Amateur Lightweight Championship. Last summer at “NEF 29,” Kelly handed then-undefeated Rafael Velado (4-1), an athlete fourteen years Kelly’s junior, the first loss of his career to claim the belt. Over a year later, Kelly promises to bring his trademark intensity to both his training camp at Young’s MMA and his final fight on September 8.

“I train hard, period,” exclaimed Kelly. “And I am sure my opponent does the same thing, and that’s what it is all about – the willingness to prepare to win. Additionally, it is important for me to let coach Chris Young and Ernie Fitch know that I truly have appreciated them letting me become a part of the Young’s MMA family. To my teammates at Young’s and to all my fans – thanks for the ride… I have enjoyed you all.”

Kelly’s challenger on September 8, Tim Manning, is also undefeated. Fighting out of F2 Arena in Gainesville, Florida, Manning is nicknamed “Murder” for good reason. It took Manning a mere 37-seconds to submit his opponent with an armbar in his amateur debut last fall. He followed up that performance with another impressive first round submission earlier this year in his sophomore cage appearance.

NEF’s next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 35: Wicked Season,” will see the company make its return to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. The event is scheduled to take place Saturday, September 8, 2018 with a bell time of 7 pm. Tickets are on sale now at www.CrossInsuranceCenter.com.

NEF AND BRANDON BUSHAW TO SEND YOUNG ATHLETES TO USM WRESTLING CLINIC

Gorham, Maine (June 22, 2018) – New England Fights (NEF) announced earlier today that the fight promotion would once again sponsor an athlete at this year’s Brawlin’ Lobsta Wrestling Clinic & Tournament. The camp is set to take place at the Gorham campus of the University of Southern Maine (USM) from July 17 to July 22. For the fifth year in a row, NEF will select one winner for which the fight promotion will cover tuition to the program.

“It’s a thrill for us to once again be supporting the Brawlin’ Lobsta Wrestling Clinic,” stated NEF co-owner and Matchmaker Matt Peterson. “This year it’s all the more exciting to be partnering with Maine wrestling legend Brandon Bushaw to send not one, but two wrestlers to clinic. Mike Morin’s USM program is exploding and with the latest round of recruits that he’s brought in, I have no doubt that they will be a threat at the national level within the next two to three seasons. I encourage every Maine wrestler to apply for this scholarship to earn a chance to work with Morin’s decorated staff clinicians. Additionally, NEF MMA veteran Brandon Bushaw has also agreed to sponsor an athlete in the program this year. Now a business owner residing in South Carolina, Bushaw cut his teeth on the mats growing up in Westbrook, Maine. He won two Maine state titles wrestling for Westbrook High School. After high school, Bushaw went on to wrestle for Michigan State University where he was a teammate of current UFC competitors Rashad Evans and Gray Maynard. He is a member of the Maine Wrestling Hall of Fame.

“I attended Boston University wrestling camp between my sophomore and junior seasons in high school,” recalled Bushaw. “Not only did it change me as a wrestler, but I really feel that it changed me as a person. I have attended and coached many camps, and the life lessons you learn there are very important. Camp instructors Mike Morin and Jon Deupree have both competed in the MMA cage in the past. Morin is the head wrestling coach at USM and a two-time All-American. Deupree is an assistant coach with USM. He was a two-time NCAA national qualifier wrestling for the Huskies.

“I would like to thank NEF for supporting USM wrestling and sponsoring another wrestler to attend the Brawlin’ Lobsta Camp this summer,” said Morin. “This sponsorship is huge in allowing kids to have the opportunity to wrestle year-round who might not have that opportunity otherwise. It’s great for our program at USM and great for the state as a whole to get better in the sport of wrestling!”

Interested contestants are asked to submit a photograph of themselves wrestling via email to newenglandfights@gmail.comalong with a brief statement of 100 words or less detailing why they believe the clinic will help them achieve their goals. The winners will also each receive a pair of tickets to “NEF 35: Wicked Season,” as well as an NEF apparel package to wear during the clinic.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – It rained all week, until this afternoon, and the weather was perfect for the Beat the Streets Benefit at Pier 17 in the Seaport District of Lower Manhattan tonight. The United States showed up with an impressive effort, claiming nine of the 11 international matches in front of the amazing New York skyline.

In the Main Event “Super Match,” Olympic champion and four-time World champion Jordan Burroughs of the USA powered back from trailing 4-0 with a strong second period to defeat two-time Frank Chamizo of Italy, 8-5.

In the other Super Match, American star Jordan Oliver won a 3-3 criteria victory over 2012 Olympic champion Toghrul Asgarov of Azerbaijan.

Other U.S. winners were Tamyra Stock (Women’s 68 kg), James Green (Men’s 70 kg), Kyle Dake (Men’s 79 kg), J’den Cox (Men’s 92 kg), Kyle Snyder (Men’s 97 kg), Nick Gwiazdowski (Men’s 125 kg) and Helen Maroulis (Women’s 57 kg).
