Former World Champ Javier Fortuna’s Comeback Begins September 23 en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, Against Undefeated Marlyn Cabrera

The comeback of one of boxing’s most exciting fighters, former WBA World Super Featherweight Champion Javier “El Abejon” Suerte, will begin on Viernes, Septiembre 23, 2016.
Suerte (29-1-1, 21 KOs) of Braintree, Massachusetts, via La Romana, República Dominicana, will take on fellow Dominican Marlyn “Maravilla” Cabrera (22-0, 10 KOs) of Santiago de los Caballeros in a 10-round super featherweight battle to top promoters Sampson Lewkowicz’s (Sampson Boxing) and Cesar Mercedes’ (Manguita Promotions) night of world-class boxing at the Sambil Ballroom in Sambil Plaza in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and live on Dominican TV RNN.
27-year-old southpaw Fortuna won the WBA World Super Featherweight Championship in May 2015 with a 12-round decision over Bryan Vasquez and made a successful defense in September 2015 against Carlos Ivan Velasquez (QUIEN 10). But then in June of this year, Fortuna suffered a surprise TKO 11 defeat at the Capital Gym in Beijing, China, to unheralded challenger Jason Sosa of New Jersey. Winning fairly easily on all three scorecards, a tiring Fortuna was surprised and dropped by a spirited late-fight rally.
Undefeated and untested 29-year-old Cabrera will be coming to the ring with pulling off an upset on his mind. In his six-year professional career, he has already held the WBA Fedecaribe and Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) Inter­Continental Featherweight Championships.
“No puedo esperar para volver al ring,” dijo Fortuna. “I lost my championship and I’m going to beat whoever I have to beat to get it back. Cabrera is my countryman and I wish him a long successful career, but right now he is in my way. He has to go.”
Someone’s undefeated “0” must go in the 10-round “All Dominican” junior middleweight co-main event, as Jeison “Banana” Rosario (11-0, 8 KOs) of Santo Domingo will take on Santiago de los Caballeros’ Carlos Jairo Cruz (17-0, 11 KOs).
Rosario was last seen destroying then-undefeated countryman Rafael Lorenzo in two rounds in April. Cruz will be making his first ring appearance this year.
In two other significant match-ups, 25-year-old southpaw Wellington Arias Romero (11-0-1, 5 KOs), de Newburgh, Nueva York, USA via Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, will face 26-year-old Abrahan “El Indomable” Peralta (18-4, 13 KOs) of Nagua, República Dominicana, in an eight-round super lightweight battle; and in an eight-round “All Dominican” lightweight showdown, undefeated Osvaldo Cabrera (11-0-1, 6 KOs) will take on power-punching Ramon De la Cruz (8-2-1, 7 KOs).
In the opening super featherweight four-rounder, future star Abraham “Súper” Estrella nueva (2-0, 1 KO) of Braintree, Massachusetts, will look to continue his undefeated run in the professionals against Willy Morillo (2-2, 1 KO) de la República Dominicana.

19-year old Antonio “Estampido” Williams remains unbeaten with dominating unanimous decision

MIAMI, Florida (Agosto 8, 2016) – Este pasado Sábado at the Miami Airport Convention Center, 19-year old Super-featherweight prospect, Antonio “Estampido” Williams, remained undefeated with a dominating unanimous decision victory against tough opponent, Brian Santos, mejorando su récord a (4-0, 3 KOs). After knocking out his first three opponents within two rounds, Williams goes the distance for the first time in his young career. Con la victoria, Williams, who is signed by Gestión de Pro Box, reflects on getting the much needed rounds as he is ready to get right back in the ring.

Lee Baxter Promotions Inks Logan McGuinness

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (Agosto 2, 2016) – Pro Box Management’s 19-year old hot prospect, súper pluma Antonio “Estampido” Williams (3-0, 3 KOs), returns to the ring this Saturday, Agosto 6, 2016 at the Miami Airport Convention Center. Williams will square off against Brian Santos of Puerto Rico is a scheduled 4-round bout.
Williams, who made his pro debut earlier this year at age 18, has never made it past the second round, ending all three of his fights by knockout. WBO European Super Featherweight champion Evgeny Chuprakov defends title with 5th round stoppage over previously undefeated Sebastian Tlatlik this past Friday in Ekaterinburg, Rusia

Ekaterimburgo, Rusia (Mayo 9, 2016)–Este pasado Viernes noche, in Ekaterinburg, Rusia, undefeated WBO European Super Featherweight champion Evgeny Chuprakovmade the second defense of his title, when he stopped previously undefeated Sebastian Tlatlik in the fifth round of their scheduled 10-round bout.
Chuprakov (16-0, 8 Nocáuts) of Ekaterinburg is currently ranked number-7 by the WBO and number-14 by the IBF.

El ex equipo de Gran Bretaña estrellas Iain 'El Bendito' tejedor se establece para su primer combate Reino Unido, desde que regresó de América, este próximo sábado en el York Hall en Bethnal Green, donde se enfrentará Dinars letones Skripkins.

 

Tejedor, quien peleó por última vez en el York Hall en octubre 2013, se ha de establecerse como uno de los mejores prospectos en la división súper pluma de ultra competitivo a nivel internacional.

 

Desde su última visita a la casa del boxeo en la ciudad capital, Weaver ha asegurado dos excelentes victorias por detención de primera clase más de España basada marroquí Hassan Elyatouti y el brasileño Edilson Rio.

EL PASO, TX (Julio 19, 2015) – En su primera pelea de 8 asaltos, invicto sensación súper pluma, Mario Barrios (10-0, 5 KOs), logró una victoria contra el sonido Arturo Esquivel (9-3, 2 KOs), para grabar su décimo triunfo. El impresionante conquista tuvo lugar el pasado Sábado en el Don Haskins Center en El Paso, Texas, el PBC en el evento CBS, encabezado por Carl Frampton vs. Alejandro González Jr..

 

Usando su tremenda altura y profundidad ventaja, Barrios controla la acción con un largo jab y combinaciones precisas. Esquivel, quien fue el hombre naturalmente más grande, no era capaz de aterrizar golpes limpios en cualquier Barrios, quien ganó todos los asaltos. Scorecards leídas 80-72 en todos los ámbitos.

 

“Yendo ocho rondas por primera vez fue una gran experiencia de aprendizaje para mí.” said Mario Barrios, que está gestionado por Al Haymon. “Tuve la oportunidad de mi ritmo durante toda la pelea y nunca cansé.
