ORENBURG CITY, Russia (Ka 28, 2016) – Last night’s M-1 ba-Bothata ba 66 event had its share of upsets, leading with a main event split decision victory by Rashid Yusopov over defending M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion Viktor Nemkov, in Orenburg City, Russia.

Russian challenger Yusopov (7-2-0, M-1 ba-: 4-1-0) won a hard fought 5-round split decision over defending champion Nemkov (23-6-0, M-1 ba-: 14-5-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Kazakhstan, who was making his initial title defense.
Nemkov had captured the coveted M-1 Challenge light heavyweight title this past December, taking a 5-round decision from defending champion Puetz, who had won a 5-round split decision April, 2014 against Nemkov for the title. Nemkov is a two-time M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion having defeated Vasily Babich (WSUB3 – letsoho la-senotlolo sa) for the vacant title that he then lost in his first title defense to Puetz.
The 23-year-old Yusupov was riding a 4-fight win streak going into his fight with Nemkov. A former Russian, European and World Amateur MMA champion, Yusupov is known as a dangerous striker whose signature moves are powerful kicks.
Puetz vs.. Seledtsov was billed as “Terminator” vs.. “Spetsnev” and it lived up to its name as Puetz won a unanimous 3-round decision. Puetz, ea Jeremane, had successfully defended his M-1 Challenge light heavyweight title twice, after beating Nemkov in their original championship match, khahlanong le Luis Fernando Miranda (SUB2 – bipetsa) August 15, 2014 kaM-1 ba-Bothata ba 50, le Valery Myasnikov (KO/TKO2 – punches) December 17, 2014 kaM-1 ba-Bothata ba 54. Seledtsov, 28, is a former Spetsnev solider known for his powerful boxing, combat samba and MMA background. A local White-Rex promotion champion, the Russian was making his M-1 Global debut.

Korobkov (9-0-1, M-1 ba-: 0-0-1) is coming off of a hard-fought draw with Rodrigo Magalhaes(see above picture) last December at M-1 ba-Bothata ba 63, in which he had his 9-fight win streak snapped that started with his pro debut.
Nagibin has reeled-off seven consecutive wins since he lost his pro debut. Ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 64 sena se fetileng February, he won a decision over Zhenya Lezhnev. Nagibin is known for his powerful kicks (see picture below) and back-fists.

Petersburg, Russia (January 27, 2016) – M-1 ba-Global e le mopresidente Vadim Finklechtein has announced contract extensions for M-1 featherweight championJohn “Ena ke” Buchinger, former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight titlist Stephan “T-800” Puetz and top American featherweight contender Lee “American Bulldog” Morrison.
“We’ve prolonged the contract with M-1 Global veteran fighters Buchinger, Puetz and Morrison,” Finkelchtein said. “We constantly work on our roster to have the best possible fighters.”
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1 ba-: 5-0-0), the 29-year-old from Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title in 2014, via a fourth-round knockout of Tural Raginov ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 52. In his last fight this past October, Buchinger successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision over current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 62.
Puetz (13-2-0, M-1 ba-: 4-1-0), fighting out of Germany, is an electrifying fighter who won the M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion in 2014, ho qeto ho tlohaViktor Nemkov ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 46. Puetz successfully defended his title twice in 2014 khahlanong le Luis Fernando Miranda (SUB2 – bipetsa) le Valery Mykasnikov(KO/TKO2 – punches).
