Russia’s Provodnikov (25-4, 18 Kos) and Molina (28-6, 23 Kos) of Covina, Calif., clash in an eagerly awaited matchup in the main event. Provodnikov, a former WBO Junior Welterweight World Champion, was involved in the Fight of the Year in 2013 with Tim Bradley; former world title challenger Molina was in the 2014 Fight of The Year with Lucas Matthysse.

A can’t-miss co-feature at Turning Stone Casino will match unbeaten former 154-pound world champion and 2008 US. (On how he sees the fight playing out) …
“It’s very hard to predict and I usually don’t make predictions. I never make predictions for my fights. Let’s just wait on Juni 11 and see.

“I want to take this moment to thank everybody that has to do with this fight. All the people that made this happen.”

(Thoughts and reflections on Muhammad Ali) …

“The world lost a great human being, not only inside the ring but outside the ring. A champion is the best way to describe him. The greatest of all time. An innovator. Somebody that changes the world in and out. My heart goes out to his family.”

(On whether he’s the underdog or this is a 50-50 slagsmål?) …

“In the grand scheme of things, the boxer – experts if you will – I don’t know how many times they’ve been in the ring but for what they do in boxing, they seem to have him as the favorite but rightfully so. In a sense because of the personality and persona that he’s portrayed in past times. I don’t think too much about the hype. We’ve prepped for war på lördag natt. We would be doing ourselves a disservice if we didn’t prepare right for someone like Ruslan. He’s a hell of a fighter, a hell of a competitor and we were both in a Fight of the Year. “Just like you prepare for a fighter like everybody I’ve faced. Whether it be someone like Matthysse. Whether it be other fighters, I don’t want to go into names because right now my undivided attention is on Ruslan Provodnikov but the preparation is like that of any other man. I hate comparing the guy’s style to other people because again, the whole disservice you’d be doing is to yourself. You can study their style and get used to their mannerisms and what they portray in the ring and you can prepare yourself. Med detta sagt, Juni 11 will be the first time I ever face Ruslan Provodnikov so what I do to prepare myself is work on my strong points and make sure those are up to par and make sure my energy is set and ready to fire on all cylinders Lördag night and I can tell you that they are set right.”

(On what fans should expect) …
“Fireworks. Som jag sa, every word that we use in the thesaurus is an understatement. Boxing is a ‘what have you done for me lately’ sport and Lördag night is no different. I believe in my heart of hearts the fans are going to get a treat with Ruslan Provodnikov coming forward, not wanting to take a backward step with myself coming forward not wanting to take a backward step. We’re both going to try and go in there and pose our will on each other and you’re not going to see a boring fight. It won’t be Dancing With The Stars, it’s going to be a fight.”

Demetrius ANDRADE

(On his opponent and his quality of opposition) …

“Tony Harrison is definitely not Demetrius Andrade. Ja, he’s probably a prospect and doing good things but everybody sounds good, everybody’s a prospect until you get in there with somebody that knows how to fight. They can try to bring the will out of you and that’s what Willie did is bring the will out of himself to beat somebody like Tony Harrison, but Tony Harrison’s definitely not me.

“Willie Nelson, yeah he’s tall, they say he’s strong but I’m all that too. My IQ is greater, smarter and this is my time. Detta är det. This is something that either makes or breaks me. “I think that I’m going to make history by beating two twins that hold title belts and it’s going to be a legendary thing for me. Så, I’m tuned in, I’m ready and I’m focused. This is my division, it’s my war.”

(On what he sees playing out on fight night) …

“I’m just going in and do my thing, du vet, I’m the type of person with character. I’ve been in the ring for many years through the amateur program and fought 300-400 gånger, against everybody in the whole world. Så, there’s not nothing I haven’t seen or fought. A tall guy like Willie Nelson with no legs or upper body, I’m going to push him to the limit. That’s pretty much the plan. I’m going in and its knockout season for me.”

LOS ANGELES (Maj 17, 2016) — 2015 Boxcino Heavyweight Champion Andrey Fedosov (28-3, 23 KO: s) is working hard in Los Angeles for his ring return on Lördag, Juni 11.

Monroe Jr., of nearby Rochester, N.Y., and Thompson, Newark, N.J., have near identical records. Monroe is 19-2 with six knockouts, Thompson’s 17-2 with six knockouts.
Den 29 year-old Monroe won the 2014 Boxcino Middleweight Tournament with victories over Donatas Bondorovas (18-4-1), Vitaly Kopylenko (23-0) och Brandon Adams (14-0). He followed Boxcino up with an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over perennial contender Brian Vera i januari.
Monroe’s win streak set up an opportunity on May 16, 2015, to fight middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin. Monroe put up a solid effort and gave Golovkin his toughest test to date, but came up short in his title opportunity.
“I am glad to be back, and I look forward to fighting in front of my loyal fans who will come from Rochester to see me fight,” Monroe said.
Den 27 year-old Thompson won the 2015 Boxcino Junior Middleweight tournament with wins over Ricardo Pinell (10-1-1), Stanyslav Skorokhod (9-0) and Brandon Adams (17-1).
Following the 2015 Boxcino turnering, Thompson traveled to Manchester, England to fight undefeated Liam Smith for the WBO Junior Middleweight title on Oct. 10, 2015. Thompson was impressive and was ahead on the scorecards before being stopped in the seventh round.

“I have been training hard, and I look forward to fighting another Boxcino champion like Willie Monroe,” Thompson said. “It should make for a great fight.”

Since winning the Boxcino tournament, when he stopped Donovan Dennis in the eighth round on May 22, 2015, Fedosov has been out of the ring with lingering injuries. Now he is back training at the famed Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles readying for his ring return.
“I am glad that I will finally be getting back in the ring,” Fedosov said. “I got some time to rest and now I feel better and stronger than ever. I just want to get in that ring on June 11. I am looking forward to putting on a great show as I look for a major fight.”

Heredia, Merida, Mexiko, will be looking for a signature victory to catapult his career and become a player in the suddenly open heavyweight division.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 30, 2016) – Badou Jack retained his WBC Super Middleweight title in a controversial draw against Lucian Bute Lördag på Showtime, setting up a fall unification with IBF champion James DeGale, who defended his IBF crown against Rogelio Medina in the opening bout of the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast from the DC Armory.
“Let’s unify the decision and see who the best is,” DeGale said to Jack in a post-fight interview moderated by SHOWTIME Sports reporter Jim Gray.
“I’m ready in September, ready in August,” responded Jack.” “I’m ready whenever. Let’s do it where it makes the most sense financially.”
Jack was the sharper fighter from the opening bell, committing to pounding the body of the former long-time titlist. Facing his second southpaw, Jack prevented Bute from fighting his game, smothering the Romania-born Canadian whenever he attempted to fight on the inside.
While Jack varied his punches with a diverse attack to the body and head, he slowed in the latter rounds and allowed Bute to climb his way back into the fight. Bute had perhaps his best round in the 10th and closed the show well, i 11th och 12th. But it was too little too late for Bute, who escaped D.C. with what most felt was an undeserved draw.
“Bullshit, but is what it is. Ask Bute as well, he knows what time it is,” sade Jack, who landed nearly 100 more punches than Bute, Inklusive 61 procent av hans makt slag, och 40 percent total of his total shots. “His punches weren’t hurting me. “I’m a bit disappointed – I should be taking out people like Porky Medina, no disrespect to him.
“I’m always learning in the gym. My inside work, my defense, my concentration. I’m going to go back to the gym, I’m going to work and I’ll be ready in September.
“I want Badou Jack. I want a fresh name on my record.”
Medina, å andra sidan, nearly doubled DeGale, kasta 1,140 totala stansar, jämfört med 612 in the best performance of his career, but not enough to dethrone the champion. Badou Jack “The Ripper”, of Las Vegas by way of Stockholm, Sverige, captured the WBC 168-pound crown with a 12-round majority decision over previously unbeaten defending champion Anthony Dirrelllast April 24. A former amateur standout who represented Gambia in the 2008 OS, Jack retained his belt against former world title challenger George Groves last Sju. 12 on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s final fight. Domkraft, who fights under the Mayweather Promotions banner, was an underdog against both Dirrell and Groves. James “Chunky” DeGale, London, England, won the vacant IBF belt in his U.S. debut last May by dropping Andre Dirrell twice on his way to a unanimous decision.
