Nemecko, United States and Latvia Play Host to WBO Bouts

The World Boxing Organization (WBO), chaired by Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, will celebrate five interesting title fights; two of which are for world championships. The bouts will take place this Saturday, Máj 12.

Brooklyn native Saddam “World Kid” Ali (26-1, 14 KO), coming off the most important victory of his career against legendary Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto, makes the first defense of his WBO junior middleweight world title, when he faces the dangerous Mexican Jaime Munguía (28-0, 24 KO). The fight will take place at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. The fight will be televised live on HBO at 10:00 p.m. A.

“We will have a lot of activity this Saturday from the WBO. You have to pay close attention to the performance of the huge puncher Jaime Munguía, who will face a good attacker like Ali. It’s going to be a classic fight of puncher against a boxer. If Munguía wins, he would be placed on a select list of great Mexican boxers who have been world champions at or before 21 years of age”, said Valcárcel.

In Augsburg, Nemecko, women’s boxing takes the stage when the popular former world champion Nikki Adler (16-1, 9 KO) of Germany and the world contender Femke Hermans (6-1, 3 KO) of Belgium, face each other for the vacant WBO world belt of the super middleweight division. The fight will be in the Eisstadion in Augsburg.

“We remain committed and supportive of women’s boxing. Germany is no exception. This great fight has the community looking on because there is a world title at stake and the fight will be liked by the public”, said Valcárcel.

In Latvia, three WBO International titles will be in play in 12-round duels in an evening at the Riga Arena. For the vacant International junior middleweight belt, the 13th ranked Ismail Iliev (10-0-1, 3 KO) of Nazran, Russia will face Konstantin Ponomarev (33-0, 13 KO) of Miass, Rusko.

Tiež, the WBO International Lightweight Champion and 5th ranked Isa Chaniev (12-1, 6 KO) of Nazran, Rusko, will defend his title against the strong Venezuelan puncher, Ismael Barroso (20-1-2, 19 KO).

For the vacant middleweight WBO International belt, Artur Akavov (18-2, 12 KO) from Russia, will face against Argentina’s Gonzalo Coria (12-1, 5 KO).

Russia’s Elena Gradinar Gunning for The World’s Best Female Featherweights

#1-rated IBF Inter-Continental Female Featherweight Champion Elena Gradinar is calling out the rest of her division’s best.

The undefeated 27-year-old, from Saint Petersburg, Rusko, was last seen dominating former world champion Olivia Gerula in March. She has now set her sights on IBF Champion Jennifer Han and the top-rated female fighters in the featherweight division.

“I am very honored to have the Inter-Continental Title and be their number-one featherweight contender,” said Gradinar. “I want to demonstrate the true definition of a top contender and, čoskoro, I believe a world champion by fighting the very best in every fight. This is a great time and space for women’s boxing and I am happy to be making my mark in this day and age.”

) – The first Spanish Olympia deadlift champion will face one of the strongest Russian athletes May 24 na M-1 Challenge 92 in M-1 Arena in Saint Petersburg, Rusko.

Fredy Gonzales, also known as “El Gigante,” is officially Spain’s strongest man. Born in Cuba, he always was a huge guy, so it’s no wonder that he chose football (futbal) as his first sport to play. After playing that for a few years, Gonzales decided to start something new and he wisely chose powerlifting. It took him just a few years to win his first competition and very soon he started winning various huge events in deadlift and bench press, including the world championships.

Gonzales’ first attempt to win Olympia was not successful, but he was close to capturing the title, finishing in second place. Next following year he became the Olympia champion.

With his winning results of 837 lbs. (380 kilogram) in the dead-lift and 683 lbs. (310 kilogram) in the bench press, Gonzales officially will become the strongest person who ever stepped in the M-1 Global Rage.

Maksim Baruzdin is the strongest man in Saint Petersburg, Rusko. Starting his career in powerlifting, he won numerous medals and titles, zdôrazňuje v 2017 World Raw Powerlifting European Championships, lifting 793 lbs. (360 kilogram) in the deadlift. SAINT PETERSBURG, Rusko (Apríl 27, 2018) - Eternal confrontation: experience vs. youth will continue June 1st at M-1 Challenge 93 Chelyabinsk, Rusko.

Neporazený šampión strednej váhy M-1 Challenge Artem Frolov (10-0-0, M-1: 7-0-0), who was mentioned by Fighters Only Magazine among the 20 top MMA prospects for 2018, will defend his title for the first time against American favorite Joe "Diesel" Riggs (47-17-1, M-1: 2-0-1). Frolov is known as a well-rounded fighter who has defeated all ten of his opponents, four of which he knocked out, and the other four submitted. Last October, Frolov captured the belt by defeating UFC veteran Caio Magalhaes, Brazília, jednomyseľným rozhodnutím, but he needed a break to heal his injuries.

At the same event, Riggs got his second victory in M-1 Global competition, extending his winning streak to six fights, all ended by TKO. SAINT PETERSBURG, Rusko (Apríl 23, 2018)) – Russian heavyweight star Sergei Kharitonov returns to The Rage on May 24 na titulok M-1 Challenge 92 v aréne M-1 v Petrohrade, Rusko.

Lebout’s M-1 debut at M-1 Challenge 89 resulted in a win by first-round knockout of Sergej Faley. Gordeev is riding a three-fight win streak, all ending in unanimous decisions.

The special guest will be Joe Riggs – a UFC and Bellator star who will face off against Boris Polezhay in the co-main event.

The main event will be a match between undefeated Aleksey Kunchenko who is on a 17 win streak against Alexander Butenko.

SAINT PETERSBURG, Rusko (Marec 19, 2018) – American mixed-martial-arts star Nate “Vlak” Landwehr will compete for his first M-1 Global title, when he takes on red-hot M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Khamzat Dalgiev, v M-1 Challenge 91 main event at the new M-1 Arena in Saint Petersburg, Rusko.

The 29-year-old Landwehr (10-2-0, M-1: 2-0-0), who fights out of Clarksville, Tennessee, made his M-1 Global debut last September at M-1 Challenge 83, keď sa zastavil Mikhail Korobkov na údery v druhom kole. Landwehr’s last fight was this past November at M-1 Challenge 85, at which he won a split decision over Viktor Kolesnik.

Since his first fight in Russia, Landwehr has developed into one of M-1 Global’s most popular fighters, largely due to his fan-friendly fighting style, as well as his showmanship. He made his own promo video, talks trash at press conferences, and broke out into an “ass whooping” song after his fight.

“Vlak” never takes a step backwards, trading punches with his opponent from the opening bell, which often results in spectacular fights for MMA fans.

Landwehr (vyššie) is an all-around fighter who can ground or pound

Dalgiev (10-1-0, M-1: 7-1-0), Ruska, vyhral 10 fights in a row since he lost his pro debut in 2014. Last November at M-1 Challenge 86, Dalgiev turned in a shocking performance, knocking out longtime M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Ivan Buchinger in the opening round with a thunderous punch that made him an instant star.

Able to defeat his opponent in a variety of ways, Dalgiev has won five fights by submission with three knockouts, including five opening-round stoppages. If rising to the occasion is his forte, Dalgiev should be sky high to fight Landwehr in one of the most anticipated M-1 Global showdowns in years.
