ATLANTIC CITY (Xan. 21, 2017) – In a stunningly one-sided affair, Danny “Baby Face Assassin” Roman scored an upset ninth-round TKO over previously unbeaten Adam López in a WBA Super Bantamweight Title Eliminator Venres no evento principal de ShoBox: A Nova Xeración on SHOWTIME from Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino.

He’s fought five times on ShoBox but now doesn’t look like he is going to get that title fight since this is the second opportunity he had and he took a real beating. “I thought I was clawing my way back into the fight, but my eye started hurting. It was the first uppercut that knocked me down in the fourth that got me right in the eye. It was hard to keep on going with my eye like that.

“When I got back to the corner after the ninth round, Ronnie told me he had seen enough and he stopped the fight.”

In the co-main event of the evening, supermediano invicto Ronald "Flatline" Ellis took a unanimous eight-round decision in a messy-grappler-type affair overChristopher "Ice Cold" Brooker polos correas de 79-73 dúas veces e 77-75.

“He was moving a lot and I couldn’t neutralize that,’’ Robles said. “He was slicker than I thought he was going to be. I was putting on a lot of pressure and wanted to work the body, but he was slick and able to withstand what I was doing.

“I just have to get back to training and get better. You’ll see more of me. I will be back.”

New Opponents Named For Kenneth Sims Jr. & Stephon Young In ShoBox Quadrupleheader Live At 10 p.m. E/PT From Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino

 

Nova York (Xan. 9, 2017) – The previously announced matchup between undefeated WBA ranked No 3-ranked super bantamweight Adam López and the WBA’s No. 4-clasificados Danny Roman has been elevated to a 12-round title eliminator for the WBA (regular) Super Bantamweight belt held by Nehomar Cermeno.

“Training has been great. I already have been in camp for two months. The fight against Potapov was my first with my new coach (Herman Caicedo), and this will be our third fight. We won the NABA title by beating Lopez and now we’re back.”

The 25-year-old Young, who is currently ranked No. 9 no WBA, was an experienced amateur who compiled a record of 86-13 while representing the U.S. in a number of tournaments. In the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2011, he lost to the No. 1-rated amateur, Rau'shee Warren.

 

The 27-year-old Rosas, da Cidade de México, is a nine-year veteran who is experienced against top opposition. Berlin Abreu upsets David Peralta via split decision in exciting war at Sands Bethlehem Event Center

Kermit Cintron scores stoppage victory; Ronald Ellis decisions Riojas

Belén, PA (Decembro 12, 2016) – Berlin Abreu won a 10-round split decision over David Peralta to capture the WBC Latino Welterweight bout ese pasado Sábado no Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
The bout headlined a nine-bout card, which was promoted by GH3 Promotions, King’s Promotions and Sampson Boxing.
It was a terrific back and forth battle that produced action throughout the fight. Abreu used his quickness to fire off rapid fire combinations. Every time it seemed that Abreu was seizing control of the bout, Peralta would would storm back with a hard flurry of his own.
Both guys had a lot of swelling on their faces. In the final-third of the contest, Abreu landed more, and even had Peralta backing up and holding on.
The bout could be a breakthrough performance for Abreu, who sprang the upset over Peralta. Peralta came into the bout ranked number-15 by the WBC, and was coming off a possible career making victory over former world champion Robert Guerrero.
Abreu of Santo Domingo, Domincan Republic won by scores of 97-93 e 86-94, while Peralta took a card 97-93.
Abreu is now 14-1. Peralta of Cordoba, Argentina is now 26-3-1.
Na co-metragem, former two-time welterweight champion Kermit Cintrón was sharp in taking out Rosemberg Gomez after the 3rd round of their scheduled 8-round welterweight bout.
Cintron was dominant throughout as he showed signs of the fighter, who won the world welterweight title on two occasions. He had Gomez hurt in round three as he divided up his attack to the head and body and finally floored the native of Managua, Nicaragua with a combination. Gomez best offense was a tackle of Cintron as he fell to the canvas on the knockdown. Cintron was alright and after the round, Gomez and his corner pulled the plug on the contest.

Masnfield dropped Aikens with an uppercut in the 1st round. AIkens had some moments as he used his height and reach but it was not enough as Mansfield won by scores of 59-54 e 58-55 dúas veces.

Abraham Nova took out Joshua Santos in the 2nd round of their super featherweight bout.

Nova scored a knockdown in round when he landed a right hand that made the knee of Santos buckle underneath him as he fall to the canvas. Santos was limping, but was able to continue. Santos came out landing punches in the 2nd frame, but that was short lived as another crushing right from Nova dropped Santos again and the bout was stopped at 2:02.

This will be Cintron’s 4th fight in the last 7 meses, and he is ready for a good performance, and move on to big opportunities in 2017.
“The game plan was to be built up again. From what (ofertas rei) Marshall Kauffman has said, 2017 will be a big year and I am looking forward to getting back to the top.”
With a plethora of talent atop the welterweight division, Cintron sees many opportunities for that breakthrough win.
“Whatever fight makes sense for me is who i will fight. I will fight all of the top contenders.”

“A perda fíxome máis fame. Acabo de magoarme. Pegoume e non puiden recuperarme.
