Wilfredo ‘BimbitoMéndez will fight for the WBA Fedelatin title

 

 

After winning the Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) vacant Las Americas title last December, Wilfredo ‘BimbitoMéndez (9-0, 4 KO nan) from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, will seek a top ranking spot in the World Boxing Association (WBA ) when he faces Nicaraguan Leyman Benavides (13-6-1, 2 KO nan) for the vacant WBA Minimumweight Fedelatin title.

Del Valle excited for Tri State Area return

Bayamon, Puerto Rico (Jiyè 20, 2016) – As a teenager, Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle left his native Puerto Rico for Newburgh, NY where he resided for seven years. During his time in the Empire State amateur ranks, he made great strides in the ring and won multiple highly-competitive tournaments, most notably capturing the 2004 National Golden Gloves title.

As a pro, Del Valle had his first fight in New Jersey, hoisted the WBA-NABA championship in New York and Connecticut was the state that hosted his first appearance on HBO.
