PHILADELPHIA – Tudo está definido para o 11ª edição do Briscoe Awards, a ser realizada neste domingo tarde, Março 25, 2018, 1-4 PM, no Clube VBA na Filadélfia. O evento celebra as maiores e melhores conquistas da cena do boxe na área da Filadélfia, e normalmente é frequentado por boxeadores – passado e presente, outras personalidades do boxe, e lutar fãs.
“2017 foi um ano memorável para a nossa cena local de boxe, e será ótimo reunir todos para comemorar,” disse John DiSanto, fundador do Briscoe Awards. “Nosso evento é realmente apenas uma festa – Comida, bebidas, e uma união de todos que amam esse esporte. É sempre bom ver a mistura de pessoas que vêm ao Briscoe Awards. O destaque porém, está lançando os holofotes sobre os lutadores que trabalharam tanto para entreter todos nós fãs. É sempre um bom dia e um momento divertido.”
Participar do Briscoe Awards este ano será o grande vencedor TYRONE BRUNSON, que receberá três prêmios – para “Lutador”, “Luta”, e “Desempenho do ano”, AVERY SPARROW, tanto o “Prospect of the Year” eo “Lutador Breakout de 2017”, JARON ENNIS, nomeado “Aquele para Assistir”, PREÇO DE DYLAN, o “Rookie of the Year”, RIOS MARCEL, quem marcou o “Knockout do Ano”, RAYMOND FORD, o “Amador do Ano”, e JEROME CONQUIST, quem vai receber o “Prêmio Everett Brothers”.

BOXING PHOTOGRAPHERS TO EXHIBIT THEIR WORK AT BRISCOE AWARDS

PHILADELPHIA – Nine area photographers will each exhibit one photo highlighting local boxing action from 2017 no 11ª edição do Briscoe Awards em Março 25, 2018, no Clube VBA na Filadélfia. The photos will also be judged by those attending the event to determine the “2017 Foto do ano”. All attendees of the event will be given a ballot and asked to vote for their favorite photo from the nine selections. The photo chosen as the best of the year will win its photographer a Briscoe Award.
“This is the second year we’ve shined a spotlight on the many ring photographers who cover our local fight scene,” disse John DiSanto, fundador do Briscoe Awards. “I really appreciate what the photographers do and the contribution they make to our boxing scene. Their photos capture the highs and lows of the sport we love, and it is important to acknowledge that.”
The Briscoe Awards commemorate the biggest and best accomplishments of the Philly-area boxing scene. In addition to the photography award, ten other prizes will be given out in a variety of categories, Incluindo “Philly Fighter of the Year”, “Philly Luta do Ano”, “Knockout do Ano”, “Amador do Ano”, “Rookie of the Year”, “Prospect of the Year”, e outros.

World ranked Yenifel Vicente comes out in defense of Latinos for derogatory comments by father / trainer of champion Isaac Dogboe

Santo Domingo, República Dominicana – Renowned Dominican boxer Yenifel ‘El Rayo’ Vicente (31-3-2, 23 KO) has been aware of the expressions made by Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of the Interim World Boxing Organization champion (WBO) 122 libras, Isaac Dogboe (18-0, 12 KO), who is scheduled to face WBO world champion, Mexican American, Jessie Magdaleno (25-0, 18 KO), em Abril 28 na Filadélfia .

Paul Dogboe had expressed that his son not only will defeated Magdaleno, but deported the Mexican-American born in Las Vegas after the victory by throwing it on the wall that divides both countries and in the celebration, they will present the world title to the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

“If Dogboe defeats Magdaleno, I will ask my promoter Lou DiBella to fight him,” said Yenifel Vicente.

“If we have to fight in Ghana, we will be ready to travel and put the Latinos and people who respect others regardless of their race with a big victory for them. Those comments create hatred and divisions. We live in a world where we all breathe the same air and we are the same. I will not allow them to insult our Mexican brothers and others who work hard in search of a better quality of life, “said Yenifel Vicente.

Vicente has won six consecutive bouts, including the PBC’s Knockout of the Year, a three-round knockout over the undefeated favorite, Juan ‘Baby Tito’ Dominguez.

Vicente’s manager, Raúl Patrana, President of the ‘Spartan Boxing Club’, is willing to help with the fight.

“If Dogboe wins, we are willing to make the necessary arrangements so that Dogboe’s first defense can be against Vicente who is ranked 12th in the WBO and of course in the best coliseum available in Ghana. We wish the best of luck to Magdaleno. No final, we hope both fighters make a good fight for the fans and leave healthy after that”.

PHILADELPHIA – Depois de dez anos celebrando as maiores e melhores conquistas do boxe da Filadélfia, o Briscoe Awards mudará o calendário de seu evento anual, de outubro a março.
“Já faz alguns anos, Eu considerei transferir os prêmios para a primeira parte do ano,” disse John DiSanto, fundador do Briscoe Awards. “O horário original do outono causou muita confusão, porque no momento em que entregamos os prêmios, as lutas eram notícia velha. A mudança para março nos permitirá entregar os prêmios logo após o término do ano da luta. Estou um pouco nervoso em fazer uma mudança, mas a longo prazo, a mudança só tornará o Briscoe Awards melhor.”

Undefeated Super Flyweight Dylan “The Real Dyl” Price reflects on Briscoe Award and upcoming April 21st fight

PHILADELPHIA (Março 15, 2018)–It will be a busy few weeks for undefeated super flyweight prospect Dylan “The Real Dyl” Price.
O 19 year-old native of Sicklerville, New Jersey who has a perfect mark of 5-0 with all of his wins coming via knockout (Including 4 in the 1st round) will be on-hand at the 11th annual Briscoe Awards to accept the prestigious Rookie of the Year award.
The Awards Ceremony will take place on Domingo, March 25th at the VBA Clubhouse at 2733 Rua Clearfield na Filadélfia.

JARON ENNIS IS THE ONE TO WATCH IN PHILLY

PHILADELPHIA – Twenty year old welterweight boxer Jaron “Boots” Ennis will honored as “Aquele para Assistir” no 11ª edição do Briscoe Awards em Março 25, 2018. Ennis, currently 18-0, 16 KOs, has been turning heads ever since he turned professional in 2016. After less than two years as a professional, Boots has convinced local boxing fans that he’s destined to become a world champion.
“Ennis has every Philly boxing fan excited,” disse John DiSanto, fundador do Briscoe Awards. “He is the real thing and at the rate he’s going, he’ll be fighting for the title in another year.”

BRUNSON SETS RECORD WITH THREE BRISCOE AWARDS

PHILADELPHIA – PA State junior middleweight champion Tyrone Brunson will be honored with three Briscoe Awards for the eventful year he had in 2017. During the year, Brunson’s efforts won him three bouts, two belts, and kept his career on track for a big fight in 2018. For these accomplishments, Brunson will take home three Briscoe Prêmios em March 25th– “Philly Fighter of the Year”, “Philly Luta do Ano”, e “Desempenho do ano”. This will be the first time a fighter has won three Briscoes in a single year.
“Danny Garcia, Steve Cunningham, Bryant Jennings and Tevin Farmer have all won two before, but Brunson will be the first guy to get three on the same day,” disse John DiSanto, fundador do Briscoe Awards. “Tyrone had a great year in 2017, so I’m happy for him. The voters got it right.”

Along with Brunson, Cintron will receive the Briscoe Award for his participation in the “Luta do Ano”.

MARCEL RIVERS TO BE HONORED FOR BIGGEST KO OF THE YEAR

PHILADELPHIA – Boxing fans certainly love a knockout, e 2017 was full of them in Philly. Of the many big KOs last year, the best of them all was by Rivers Marcel, no 2300 Arena last September. Rivers, in his third professional fight, scored a picture-perfect-one punch-knockout of Osnel Charles in the fourth round. SPARROW CONQUISTA COM DOIS PRÊMIOS BRISCOE

PHILADELPHIA – Estrela do boxe em ascensão na Filadélfia, Avery Sparrow, realmente deu um salto na carreira 2017. O peso leve júnior venceu quatro lutas no ano, incluindo dois eventos principais, e duas aparições na TV nacional.
