“Ik ben een jiu jitsu zwarte band. Jiu jitsu is wat mijn voet tussen de deur kreeg, maar nu ben ik een complete vechter en ben ik niet echt voor een enkele stijl.”

“Ik hou van New Jersey. Ik ben hier geboren en getogen. Met MMA Pro League kan ik mijn staat vertegenwoordigen!”

“It’s the diversity. Jersey is a melting pot of different cultures and backgrounds. I believe this state breeds the toughest guys around.”

“I fight because it’s in my blood. I was born to fight and that’s what I do best.”

“Growing up as a kid I used to watch boxing, and some of the boxers I really enjoyed watching were Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Prince Naseem Hamed. I also steal a little bit of everyone’s styles from different contact sports, because you can’t be a one-dimensional fighter in modern MMA.”

“My fighting background is pretty much all aspects of contact sports. I’ve earned a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I have multiple grappling titles, meerdere kickboks- / Muay Thai-titels en drie amateur-MMA-titels in twee verschillende promoties en in twee verschillende gewichtsklassen.”

“MMA Pro League is de juiste keuze voor mij omdat ze iets nieuws doen. Het is iets dat nog niet eerder is gedaan, waarbij twee staten tegen elkaar strijden om te zien wie er wint. Het is ook een beetje anders dan andere promoties omdat je bij andere promoties gewoon voor jezelf gaat vechten, maar in MMA Pro League heb je een hele staat achter je, en alle druk staat op je omdat je je team niet in de steek wilt laten.”

 

What is your favorite thing about New Jersey?

“Mijn favoriete ding over New Jersey is dat we altijd de hitte in elke competitie tegen iemand anders brengen.”

Er zijn veel verschillende redenen waarom ik vecht. De eerste reden was dat ik een fan was. I love the sport and entertainment, but the real reason why I fight is for my daughter and to show her you can chase your dreams and be great at something you’re passionate about.

 

 

 

I visited the UFC Expo at the first one they had in Las Vegas. It was a totally life-changing experience. I was just a fan of UFC and MMA, but when I went down there I knew that I was destined to be a fighter, gladiator and a badass.”

“My favorite fighter more recently was Kimbo Slice, may he rest in peace. I did have a favorite fighter growing up, and yes, it was the one and only Georges St-Pierre. If it wasn’t ‘GSP’ then it was Tito Ortiz, just some all-around badass dudes.

 

 

 

Nowadays I really don’t follow fighting, but if I had to say my favorite active fighter fighting now, it’s definitely Jose Aldo. I’m an old school UFC guy from back in the day. Now I just see competition.”

“My fighting style is just brawl and cause damage in there. I really don’t have a style. I go in there and try to get the job done even if it’s sloppy. You could say I’m emulating Kimbo combined with a wrestler.”

“MMA Pro League is for me because it’s my next challenge and I can’t wait.”

 

What is your favorite thing about New Jersey?

My favorite thing about New Jersey is my Aunt Denise, my grandma and my cousin Jazz. They lived in Newark most of their lives. Those are my people.”

“I like to fight because fighting is one of the few things in life I’m truly passionate about and gives me purpose. Also fighting provides the opportunity for a better life.”

“Ik vecht omdat ik toen ik opgroeide veel werd gepest en gepest. I had to learn how to stand up for myself. Ook, later on in my youth I had to take care of my father who was very sick with brain cancer, which took his life in 2008.

 

 

 

Seeing my father go through his daily battles and frustrations made me realize I could overcome anything in life. My father was and will always be my hero. He was one of the toughest, stubbornest, hardest workers I had the pleasure of knowing and had the pleasure of calling my dad. Each time I step into that cage I know he`s with me.”

“My favorite fighter, or fighters if I could merge them together, would have to be Georges St-Pierre, Dominick Cruz, Mike Tyson and Buakaw Banchamek. As far as emulating their styles, each has something I like within their fighting styles or fighter I.Q., but for me I like to be my own fighter. I never want to be a paper cut out version of someone else. That`s the beautiful thing about MMA, all these different styles can mesh into one and you can create your style how you want.”

“I`m a wrestler, boxer and black belt in jiu jitsu under Sean “Shorty Rock” Santella.”

I like the concept as far as team versus team and the way you can collect points for your team by either KO/TKO, Submission, or Decision. Bethlehem, PA (Augustus 27, 2018) – Super lichtgewicht's Anthony Mercado en Victor Vazquez zal een grote boksavond headlinen Dinsdag, 25 september bij The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

 

 

 

De negen-wedstrijden-kaart wordt gepromoot door King's Promotions.

 

 

 

Mercado van Arecibo, Puerto Rico heeft een record van 11-4 met negen knockouts.

 

 

 

De 24 -jarige is een zesjarige professional, wie won zijn eerste 10 uiteinden. Mercado heeft een onderbreking van de 3e ronde over de voorheen ongeslagen Tyrone Crawley, Jr. (7-0) op 2 maart. In zijn laatste gevecht, Mercado liet op 11 mei in Philadelphia een unaniem besluit van acht ronden vallen voor de ongeslagen Mykal Fox.

 

 

 

Vazquez van Yonkers, New York heeft een record van 10-4 met drie knock-outs.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Juli 31, 2018) – De nieuwste entiteit in MMA, MMA Pro League, has set the first seven matches that will take place at their inaugural event Saturday, September 15 in het nieuwe Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and streaming live on FloCombat.com.

 

 

 

De september 15 event will pit fighters from Team New Jersey, die wordt geleid door hoofdcoach En Miller van de Miller Brothers, tegen Team Pennsylvania en hun hoofdtrainer, Daniel Gracie van de beroemde familie Gracie.

 

 

 

“We are very excited to announce these first seven matches for our inaugural MMA Pro League at The Hard Rock event on Saturday, September 15,” said MMA Pro League CEO Hani Darwish. “The fighters are proud to be representing Team New Jersey and Team Pennsylvania, and are committed to giving the fans a great show that night.” Darwish and MMA Pro League President Mark Taffet are leading the efforts for this newest addition to the professional team sports landscape.

 

 

 

MMA Pro League action will see Claudio Ledesma nemen Andre Bernardo in een vlieggewichtgevecht, Gabriel Ruiz in a bantamweight clash against Cody hier, the professional MMA debut of Francisco Muniz als hij op zich neemt Joe Schick at a 140-pound catchweight and a women’s bantamweight showdown between Erika Bobieren Kylie O'Hearn.

 

 

 

Rounding out the lineup of fights that are currently set are Sodik Ismoilov vechten Andrew Salas in a featherweight attraction, Mike Pagano in a featherweight bout against Zedekiah Montanez and a middleweight contest that pits Emmanuel Walo tegen Rafael Celestino.

 

 

 

Additional fighters and matchups will be announced for the September 15 event in the weeks leading up to fight night as coach Miller and coach Gracie prepare their teams for the groundbreaking night of action.

 

 

 

“I’m very excited about my Team New Jersey fighters,” Said Miller. “We will be in great shape on September 15 and give our fans a big victory over Daniel Gracie and Team Pennsylvania. This is a new era in MMA and we’re going to start it off with a bang!”

 

 

 

“I can’t wait to test myself as an MMA coach against Team New Jersey,” said Gracie. “I’m coming to this league to win. This team concept is the future of MMA and it’s going to make these fights even more exciting. As a Gracie, I expect hard work from my team, but victory is the only thing on my mind. Ledesma is een inwoner van West Orange, NJ en heeft momenteel een 14-7 record als een professionele jager. Bernardo komt oorspronkelijk uit Botucatu, Sao Paulo, Brazilië en heeft een professionele staat van dienst 8-4.

 

Ruiz vecht uit Woodland Park, NJ met een 0-1 record als een professionele jager en een amateurrecord van 5-2-1 in vlieggewicht divisie. Hier is originally from Davidson, MIJN. Later verhuisde hij naar Philadelphia om te trainen bij Gracie Gym. Hier heeft een record van 1-1 als een professionele vechter in de bantamgewicht divisie.

 

Muniz is originally from Caguas, Puerto Rico. His preferred discipline is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Muniz has fought five times in his native Puerto Rico, het bereiken van een record van 4-1. Schick, from Hamilton, NJ, was a Division 1 wrestler. He began fighting as an amateur in 2015. Within one year, Schick accumulated an amateur record of 5-0. He then turned professional and holds a 1-2 record in the pro ranks. Schick is also a middle school teacher in Fairlawn, NJ where he teaches science, match and social studies.

 

Bobier has an amateur record of 0-1 fighting out of Michigan. She’ll be making her professional debut on September 15. O’Hearn recorded a 3-1 amateur record fighting out of Massachusetts. She will also be making her professional debut.

Terwijl in Irak, Walo was exposed to mixed martial arts and quick fell in love with the sport. Toen Walo naar huis terugkeerde, he began training and made his professional debut int December 2010. Hij heeft een professionele staat van dienst opgebouwd van 12-2-1. Celestino komt uit Brasilia, Brazilië en heeft een 5-2 record as a professional fighter in the middleweight division.

MICHAEL DUTCHOVER REMAINS UNDEFEATED WITH A 3RD ROUND STOPPAGE OVER MIKE FOWLER

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. / ORANJE, Calif. (Mei 14, 2018) – Top junior lightweight prospect Michael Dutchover (9-0, 6 KO) van Midland, Tex. continues to improve on his advanced skill set. He knocked out Mike Fowler (6-15, 2 KO) in de derde ronde (1:19) after landing consecutive body shots that sapped the air out of Fowler’s lungs.

 

 

 

The fight took place this past Friday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Californië.

 

 

 

Dutchover proved his talent early by connecting with body shots in the second round that floored the shorter Fowler. Nederlands Over, 20, rarely got hit and displayed superior hand speed and excellent instincts.

 

 

 

“I wanted to start fast and not have to go the full six rounds,” Said Dutchover, who was an outstanding cross country runner in high school. “I figured him out pretty quickly. He wasn’t covering up well and I took advantage.”

Bethlehem, PA (April 17, 2018) -This past Friday night at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, junior lichtgewicht O'Shaquie Foster got a career boosting win as he defeated Frank De Alba via eight-round majority decision in a crowd-thrilling fight.

 

 

 

 

The six-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.

 

 

 

 

Foster got off to an early lead, as he featured an accurate straight hand. De Alba got back in the fight as he decided to stand toe-toe with Foster, and on many occasions, he gave as good or even better then he received. Neither fighter took a backward step, which was much to the delight to the crowd that congregated at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

 

 

 

 

The furious action continued, De Alba began to leak some blood from his nose in the fifth frame.

 

 

 

 

Foster of Houston, Texas won his third bout in a row as he took two cards by scores of 79-73 en 78-74, while a 3rd card read even at 76-76.

In ronde drie, Sonnier scored two knockdowns. The 1st knockdown came from a flush right hand. The 2nd knockdown came from a hard left. In ronde vijf, Perez was bleeding from his nose.

 

 

 

 

Sonnier, 143.2 lbs of Seattle won by scores of 59-53 en 58-54 twice to raise his record to 4-0. Perez, 142.7 lbs van lezen, PA is 3-1.

 

 

 

 

Craig Callaghan and Cesar Soriano Beruman battled to a six-round majority draw in a welterweight fight.

 

 

 

 

Despite bleeding from around both eyes, Beruman was able to get inside and land some solid punches, while Callaghan had success from the outside.

Bethlehem, PA (April 11, 2018) – Junior lightweight contender Frank De Alba feels that 2018 could be his year. He first he must get past O'Shaquie Foster in the headline bout Deze vrijdagavond!! bij de Evenementencentrum Sands Bethlehem.

De Alba van Reading, Vader. will be making his first start in over a year as bouts fell through due to opponents not making weight, and De Alba suffering a cut in training just days before his last scheduled in February.

 

 

 

De Alba has been working hard through all of his bad luck.

 

 

 

“My training has been great. It’s been a long time. I was scheduled for November and my opponent missed weight by 14 pond. Then in February, I got cut six days before the fight. Door alles, I have been training. I took a week off, and then I was right back in the gym, and for that, I don’t think I will have any ring rust. I have been training for fights in the last year, it may say I haven’t fought, but I have been staying busy,” Said De Alba.

 

 

 

In Foster, he is facing a tough fighter who hopes to resurrect his career after a couple of losses set-back the one-time touted prospect.

 

 

 

“Foster is a slick fighter. I have seen him on film two or three times. He is a good test, a risky fight, but this is what this sport is all about. I need these fights to get to the next level. I just have to take the fight to him.”

 

 

 

De Alba feels that a win on Friday night will not only get him his 6th consecutive win, but a significant fighter later in the year.

 

 

 

“Whatever a win does, it will lead to something better in my career. Hopefully a regional title fight and a world ranking.”

 

 

 

Friday night will be the 5th start for De Alba at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center, en de 30 year-old is ready to put in a good performance for his fans.

De 30 year-old De Alba has a six-year professional who has wins over Andrew Bentley (1-0), Jose Bustos (8-2-3), Bernardo Gomez Uribe (16-3), Welke Evans (12-2-1), De Alba has had some tough luck as he has had several fights fall through for different reasons. This will be his 1st bout in just over a year as in his last bout where he won a eight-round unanimous decision over Ryan Kielczewski (26-2) on April 4th at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center. De Alba has won five straight.

 

 

 

Bevorderen, 24 jaar oud, was a highly decorated amateur standout. Foster advanced to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials where he lost to unbeaten contender, Jozef “Jo-Jo” Diaz. Daarvoor, Foster was a 2010 PAL Nationaal Kampioen, a five-time Ringside National Champion and two-time National Junior Golden Gloves Champion.

 

 

 

Foster is a six-year professional who won his first eight bouts. Foster has wins over three undefeated fighters including Devin Parker, Lavisis Williams, and his last bout when he defeated Kaylen Alfred on January 20th in Houston.

 

 

 

Smid, 39, is a three-year professional, who has stoppage wins over two undefeated foes Mike Marshall and Darnell Pierce.

 

 

 

Smith is coming off a 4-round split decision loss to perennial spoiler Lamont Capers on November 30, 2017 in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

 

 

 

De 37 year-old Sanchez is a 10 year professional who has knockout wins over undefeated Venroy July (13-0-2) and in his last bout when he stopped Khalib Whitmore (6-1) augustus 11, 2017 in Philadelphia.

Heralded Prospect Ruben Villa Remains Undefeated with Unanimous Decision this Past Friday Night in Ontario, Californië

PHILADELPHIA, PENN./ORANGE, Calif. (Februari. 19, 2017)- Heralded prospect Ruben Villa (10-0, 4 KO) van Salinas, Calif. made it ten straight wins to start his career by outpointing veteran Juan Sandoval (15-18, 5 KO) van Mexico. Scores: 59-55, 60-54 tweemaal.
The bout was the co-feature this past Vrijdag night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Californië.

Villa, 20, capitalized on his southpaw stance by landing a strong jab and countering with a right hook that routinely found its mark. Sandoval often looked confused and never managed to find any angles against the busier Villa.
“I just tried to keep the pressure on him from start to finish,” zei Villa, who is co-promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. “I think he fought a cautious fight, but I was still able to land a lot of punches in every round.”
Villa was most impressive in the fourth and fifth rounds when he delivered numerous sets of combinations that stunned the taller Sandoval. While Villa kept his unbeaten streak alive op vrijdag nacht, een ander, less recognizable streak ended. In his previous unanimous decision wins, Villa had won every round on every scorecard. Son of former world champion Agapito Sanchez inks managerial deal
Queens, New York (Februari 8, 2018) – El Matador Management is proud to announce the signing of undefeated featherweight prospect Juan “Ciclon” Sanchez to an exclusive managerial contract.
Sanchez, 22 years-old of Allentown, Pennsylvania has a perfect mark of 4-0 met een knock-out. He is the son of former WBO Super Bantamweight world champion, Agapito Sanchez. Juan started boxing at the age of 15, and had a brief amateur career consisting of approximately 30 gevechten.

“My first exposure to boxing was when I was four years old and I accompanied my dad to the gym,” Said Sanchez. “I am excited to be with El Matador Management and looking forward to continue to grow in boxing. Boxing is a show, and I look forward to putting on great performances. I like to look flashy! Felipe Gomez has the experience to take me along this exciting journey.”
