Los Angeles, JOALO KA (January 23, 2016) Before a crowd of 12,052 at STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles, Danny “Swift” Garcia, (32-0, 18 Kos) of Philadelphia won a unanimous 12-round decision over Gilroy, Calif.’s Robert “The Moea” Mohlabani, (33-4, 18 Kos). Bangata ba ne ba 116-112 tsohle baahloli ba bararo’ scorecard.
Fighting for the vacant WBC Welterweight World Title in the first Tonakgolo Boxing Champions (PBC) ka Fox ketsahalo, Guerrero came out aggressively in the first four rounds using a solid jab and strong over hand left hands to control the action.
Garcia acclimated well to the pressure in the fifth round, finding his range and using potshotting right hands to halt the oncoming Guerrero. The theme would play itself out during the second half of the fight as well with Garcia dominating the action. Ho lemoha ntoa ho thellisa, Guerrero came on strongly in the final round with both combatants fighting to the bitter end as the crowd stood and roared with approval.
Said Garcia following the victory, “It was what I expected. I knew I would win at least eight or nine rounds. I knew there would be some head butts in there. He head butted me so much on my forehead.
I was throwing my combinations, using my legs like my dad told me to do. I knew he was going to come to fight. He’s a rugged warrior. I’m back where I belong. I am now a two-division world champion.
Guerrero is tough. No one has ever stopped him. O ile a o ile a tla ho loantša; he was in shape. I’m taking nothing away from him. I am glad it went the way it went. I just want to take some time off, let my body heal and take one day at a time.
Father/trainer Angel Garcia a re, “I thought it was a good fight. There were a lot of head butts. He is a dirty fighter. Ha a le qetellong ea letsatsi le, Danny pulled it off, it doesn’t matter what people say.
I knew Robert was going to be at 100. It was a world title fight. Anytime it is a world title fight, no one is going to slouch. When you come to fight a former champion or champion, it’s going to be a battle. These are elite fighters and there is always going to be a great fight.
Stated a disappointed Guerrero, “I want a rematch and that’s it. Not one person out there thought Danny won, but his team. I pressured him, I nailed him, busted his body up. Ke
out-jabbed him.
“Ke ne ke nahana hore ke hlotse ntoeng ena. The crowd thought I won the fight. E ne e e kholo ntoa. I am happy I’m healthy. ke tla khutla.
It’s all for the fans. That’s why they bring me back. They love it and they enjoy it. They were entertained tonight. They thought I won the fight.
Continued Robert’s father and trainer Ruben Guerrero, “”I know we won it. He kept running and holding, running and holding. How are you going to win a fight when you run and hold every time?
We wanted to win every round and I think we won every round. Ke batla katie. That wasn’t fair. I want a rematch as soon as possible.
Punch stats showed Garcia with a wide margin of power shots landed, 33 percent to Guerrero’s 24 lekholong.
In a 10-round welterweight battle, “Sajene” Sammy Vasquez of Monessen, Pennsylvania improved to (21-0, 15 Kos) with a sixth round stoppage of Aron Martinez, (20-5, 4 Kos) of Michoacan, Mexico.
Peppering Martinez with a piston like jab, Vasquez controlled the action using his full skillset to
score points at will against the slower Martinez. Staying the aggressor through round four and five, Vasquez continued to beat Martinez to the punch using a battering right hook.
The bout ended abruptly as Martinez was not able to continue following the sixth round due
to a left elbow injury.
Said Vasquez, “Of course I won the fight, but Martinez is a tough competitor, a tough Mexican fighter. I tried to mix it up with him a little bit, but there was no sense in me trying to do that. I could have easily outboxed him, which I started to do, but I wanted more. I was just starting to warm up.
A victory feels good of course, but I wanted more. I wanted to go 12 o garela, if it would have lasted that long. I wanted a very decisive win. Ka bomalimabe, he got hurt, but every fight is a learning experience for me.
It’s on to the next chapter and I’m ready for all of the guys at the top. Qetellong, I’m going to get them.
A disappointed Martinez stated, “I hurt my elbow. I couldn’t throw my jab. I started to feel it in the third round. The doctor stopped it.
I was doing okay. Not my best. I tried, but once I hurt my elbow, I knew it was going to be tough to continue.
Opening the telecast was an outstanding heavyweight back and forth brawl between
2012 U.S. Olympian Dominic “Khathatso” BREAZEALE, (17-0, 15 Kos) ea Glendale, California and Amir “Hardcore” Mansour, (22-2-1, 16 Kos), tsa Philadelphia.
From the first bell it was readily apparent that both big men would throw bombs throughout
with Mansour in particular throwing caution to the wind.
Swinging wildly Mansour dropped Breazeale early in the third stanza, badly shaking the former
college football quarterback.
Leha ho le joalo, Breazeale confidently kept his composure, fighting his way back in the fourth. With Mansour apparently running out of gas in the fifth round Breazeale went to work, drilling the
muscular southpaw with battering uppercuts and hooks on the inside.
Following the fifth round, Mansour bit through his tongue and cited a jaw injury (which was not broken) and could not continue as the valiant Breazeale was awarded the well-earned victory.
Said a happy Breazeale, “I didn’t know what happened. Usually when they wave off a fight, ho felile. Shows I have punching power after all.
I’ve been on the canvas before. I just had my hand in the wrong place. I knew I could get back up. Ke a maholo sebōpeho. It happens to the best of us.
I’m a fighter at heart and I wanted to just get in there and brawl, but I new I had to stick to the game plan and box him.

Danny García
I want to thank Ruben Guerrero because he’s awakened the devil. Ke ke ua emela horeMoqebelo night to show the world what Danny Garcia is all about. I feel fast, I feel strong and I’ll see everyone Moqebelo.
My dad and I are chilling right now, we’re business men. They set it off and they woke us up. That’s the last thing you want to do to us. I’m going to bring the heat. He never faced a guy like me. I’m sending a message.
I haven’t felt this way in a long time. It’s that feeling you get when you know you’re going to put on a great performance.
“Ke ikutloa ke e khōlō. I’m keeping my composure and staying focused. Moqebelo night will be another night of work for me.
I’m the type of fighter where I can be cool, but certain things bring out the anger in me. I don’t feel any pressure. I’m going to go in there and be Danny Garcia.
I’m going to make adjustments. I know he wants to get dirty but we have an answer for everything he has.
ANGEL García, Danny ea Ntate & Mokoetlisi
“Danny o ne a e khōlō kampong. It was a beautiful camp. He looked great sparring. This is a new beginning in his life. There’s a new man in town.
There’s no doubt Robert’s coming to fight. Ena ke litebele. He’s supposed to come to fight. I know he’s not going to come in here and play with Danny. We’re ready for anything he brings to the table.
We’re not going to let Robert take away what Danny has worked his whole life to get. I worked hard to make Danny the man he is today.
Danny is going to be the new champion of the world Moqebelo bosiu. After that we’re going after the other belts. Fight night is going to be about Danny and Robert.
ROBERT Guerrero
We’re really ready to go. We trained hard and did everything we had to do. There’s nothing left now but to do it.
I have to go out there and show my heart. Everything I put into this, I want to get even more out. I’m a hard worker and it will translate into the ring.
I’m excited to get to the fight and take care of business. As my dad says, ‘we’re ‘letting the roosters go.It’s time to fight.
I’m very grateful to be fighting on this show as the return of boxing is back on FOX. I’m ready to settle our business in the ring.
All the talking is done. O itse o tla nkopa…well we’re going to see. I’m ready to represent the Mexican people and bring the fans a great, action-packed fight.
A title is on the line and I’m extremely motivated to silence the critics who are doubting me. I’m ready to become a champion once again
Rubén Guerrero, Robert’s Father & Mokoetlisi
I wish the fight was today, because we’re ready. Danny Garcia better be ready. It’s over. It’s time to fight. It’s going to be a bloody and rough fight. We’re bringing everything.
Same thing that happened to Andre Berto is going to happen to Danny. His dad better be ready to throw the towel in.
Sammy VASQUEZ
This is going to be my first time fighting in L.A., and so far it’s been a blessing. Everyone has accepted me with open arms.
Training camp has gone amazingly well. I know Aron is going to bring it. He’s that type of fighter. He’s got a lot of heart, a lot of grit and he’s going to come at me. It’s going to be an incredible fight.
“Ho 'na, I’m supposed to be at the top with the top guys. I’m not like the guys that Aron Martinez has beat. I know he’s on a high right now and it’s my job to knock him off of it.
This is probably the biggest stage I’ve been on. Fighting in primetime is huge. The city has accepted me and I’m going to take that feeling into the ring Moqebelo bosiu.
Somebody is going to get stopped and I’m pretty confident in myself. Re se u loketse. I’m excited and I feel like I’m going to win. We’re going to do it.
Aron ea lilemo Martínez
I’m just really happy to be here. I’m thankful for everyone who got me here. Everything has run smoothly and we’re feeling ready.
My team is calm and ready to go. This is where I grew up. What else can I ask for? I have a lot of people coming to support me and I’m excited.
It feels like I’ve been training for a whole year. I have no problem with the southpaws, I’ve been preparing for that in camp. We’re so focused and ready for this opportunity.
We respect each other. We’re here to do a job. I respect Sammy. He’s a veteran. But once you get in the ring, it’s a different story. Everything goes out the window. He’s a boxer and a good counter puncher. But we have a plan and there won’t be any excuses.
I’ve never been more ready than I am for this fight. I had a good training camp. My whole team has really gone above and beyond. Ho se ho tla ba le ntoa. There’s nothing else to say.
Dominic BREAZEALE
I’ve been waiting to get into the ring for a long time. I’m chomping at the bit. I’m anxious to get in there.
This has been one of those camps. We had a fight in December. Charles Martin got away from me, but we’re going to get him back.
They say you can’t go from the football field to the boxing ring, but I’m doing it. Undefeated and going for another knockout.
That’s the first time I’ve seen him in person. He’s a midget compared to me. I don’t think he has any chance at all ka moqebelo bosiu. I’m looking for a great knockout.
Anytime you get a chance to fight on primetime TV is amazing. I fought on primetime during the Olympics and I’m looking forward to doing it here in front of my fans. If you’re not a fan of mine yet, you will be after Moqebelo.
I hope Amir Mansour had a great camp as well because I’m going to bring it. It’s going to be fireworks.
AMIR MANSOUR
I’d like to thank everyone who helped me get this opportunity. PBC is doing a great thing with boxing and this is going to be another great fight.
I’ve been winning fights, knocking guys out. We’ve all had trials and tribulations, I certainly have. But I’m a real fighter and a true fighter. I love the sport of boxing and I dedicate myself to the things that have gotten me here.
Moqebelo I’m going to go in there and do my thing. You can’t come from a football field into the ring with me. It’s not going to work for you. I’m not going to allow it. I have a history of putting everything on the line in that ring and Moqebelo will be no different.
Tom Brown, Le mopresidente oa TGB ho phahamiswa
This fight is about finding out who the best is. All great fighters want the opportunity to be in a fight like this.
The show is headlined by one of the most exciting undefeated boxers, Danny Garcia, against a former world champion in Robert Guerrero. We know for sure that this is going to be a battle of two great warriors. Both men are going to bring everything they’ve got to this fight.
DAVID NATHANSON, Head of Business Operations for FOX Sports
This will be first of many events we will be doing with PBC on the FOX Network this year. It’s the first of some great things to come. Thanks to PBC for being such great partners and we’re thrilled to bring this fight into every home in America.

The fighters worked out with their trainers at City of Angels Boxing gym in Los Angeles. Sena ke seo batsaya karolo ile a tlameha ho re Laboraro:
Danny García
This is another fight that is going to make me a bigger star. Joalo Ka Moqebelo bosiu, I will be at my best.
I’ve had 31 setsebi lintoa. A lot of them have been big fights. This is another fight to me. There’s nothing you can say that gets to me.
I feel like I represent all the Latino people. Not just Puerto Rican-Americans or Mexican-Americans. I’m excited to go out there and show everybody a great fight.
I’m not the kind of person that talks a lot. I like to speak with my left hand and my right hand.
“Ha a le qetellong ea letsatsi le, all the fans want to see is good fights and they’ll appreciate that.
I always go for the knockout, but we’re ready for a war.
“Ha ke hatella leha e le efe iphumanetse. I just go in there and take it one fight at a time. I’m not thinking about my record when I step in the ring, I just want to get the job done round-by-round.
ANGEL García, Danny ea Ntate & Mokoetlisi
We left 140-pound as the champ and now we’re looking to do the same at 147. When you come to fight Danny Garcia for a title, you better come 100 lekholong itokiselitse.
We know Guerrero is going to be ready and we know what he brings to the table. We have an answer for everything he’s got.
January 23, it’s going to be for all Latinos in L.A. and all of America. Danny is going to be the welterweight world champion.
ROBERT Guerrero
Having the world title on the line just adds fuel to the fire. We’ll find out Moqebelo night how it all plays out.
We’ve been training hard. We derailed off the tracks a bit, but we went back to square one in camp, back to what got me here in the first place. We put it back together.
Going up against an undefeated fighter adds motivation to my drive. I want to defeat the undefeated guy, especially with this opportunity. I want to raise everybody’s eyebrows.
We’re not going to let the fans down. If the opponent doesn’t come to fight, Ke tla. That’s just the way I am. Whenever somebody watches me it’s always exciting.
Rubén Guerrero, Robert’s Father & Mokoetlisi
We’re going to show the world. We’re warriors. We come to fight. The fans are going to love this fight.
It all depends on if Danny comes to fight. I’ll give him credit if he does. They’re going to find out where Robert is at after this fight.
Robert is a full-fledged welterweight. We’re coming in light and ready to go.
I don’t get heated. I’ve been there before. I just say it as it is. Whatever comes out of my mouth comes out. They better be ready, because we’re ready. Angel Garcia better be ready to throw in that towel, because Danny is going to take a beating.
Sammy VASQUEZ
My time in the military helped turn me into a man. I joined at a young age and it’s made me the person I am today. Boxing in front of thousands of people is an honor and I’m going to enjoy it.
We’re here to take care of business come Moqebelo bosiu. Hopefully I can keep fighting people above me in the rankings. This is a great stepping-stone for me. Eventually we want one of these guys in the main event.
Boxing died out in Pittsburgh a little bit until Paul Spadafora brought it back a little bit. I’m trying to be the next one. I’m a fun guy to follow for a lot of reasons and I just want to make myself known.
I made it through two tours all in one piece and there are a lot of people who weren’t as lucky. To be able to give anything back is truly special.
We have to shine ka moqebelo bosiu. This is our chance to show that we belong. Being able to stop Aron Martinez would put me on a bigger stage.
I don’t know where I’ll be at on the welterweight scale if I get this win. But I’d love to fight either Danny Garcia or Robert Guerrero. Time will tell. I intend to fight for a world title by the end of the year.
Aron ea lilemo Martínez
Every fight gets harder and harder. We’ve had a great training camp and we’re ready to brawl. Expect a good fight ka moqebelo night and expect some fireworks.
I thought I won the fight with, Robert Guerrero but it’s boxing. You have to move on and use it as motivation the next time you’re out there.
This is my backyard. I started my career here and it’s a great opportunity for people to get to see me. I want to put on a great show.
Vasquez is like any other fighter. Only thing special is that he’s undefeated. He doesn’t want to lose that but nothing worries me about him. This will be tougher than my last two fights, but we’re ready.
I think we’re going to steal the show. O Krrish, a southpaw and he definitely doesn’t want to lose. It’s my hometown though, so I’m going to put up a good fight and make it a war.
Dominic BREAZEALE
“E bile kampo e kholo ea koetliso. Ka mokoetlisi, Manny Robles, has done a great job. He’s worked on helping me establish my jab and got me ready for a very tough fight.
I talked to Gerald Washington myself and he said he let it slip away in his fight against Mansour. The first four rounds he was really controlling the range. It’s definitely something that I’ve been studying.
“Ka heavyweight karohano, everyone can throw punches. Anyone who believes I’m not tough enough will be proven wrong Moqebelo. Mansour is a really experienced guy and I’d like to knock him out and put on an exhibition.
I’ve got the age on him and I’ve got some height and weight. I have a great pedigree and he has the pro experience. He’s been in a lot more rounds than I have but I’ve been in a lot of tough fights.
My heart is definitely set on Charles Martin after this fight. After pulling out of the fight and everything that happened there, that’s on my mind after this fight.
Mansour is a big, aggressive guy so we’re ready for anything he can bring. My athletic background will help me as will my mind because it’s all about making adjustment in the ring.
You’re not going to see me hanging out on the ropes because I’m going to move around the ring. My skills will be the difference.
“Ho e le toro tla 'nete ho bo loantša ka Staples Center. I’m so close to family and friends. It’s going to be a livelier fight week than I’ve been in before.
I always try to turn it up around the third round. I never look for the knockout, but I’ll turn it up and try to hurt him.
AMIR MANSOUR
I let my trainers watch the opponent, they give me the game plan and I take it from there.
“Ha ho na khatello. I know how to transform everything that we do in the gym into the ring and block out all the pressure.
My team knows a lot about Dominic. My team has helped me get prepared for what I need to do to get this victory.
I can’t sit here and say I’m not nervous, everyone is nervous before fight day. You have to embrace that and overcome that. This is my dream, this is where I want to be and this is my moment.

Los Angeles (January 19, 2016) In front of a packed house at Club Nokia at L.A. LIVE ka labobeli night in downtown Los Angeles, Premier Boxing Champions kicked off PBC On FOX Fight Week In Los Angeles with an exciting fight card on Toe-TO-Toe TUESDAYS ka FS1 le Boxing Champions ka Fox Deportes.
Headlining the card, Krrish welterweight Arabemohamed James of Burnsville, Minnesota (19-0, 9 Kos), won a 10-round unanimous decision over local favorite Javier Molina, (17-2, 8 Kos). Scores (99-91, 98-92 le 97-93) were surprisingly wide as most ringside observers thought it was a much closer fight.
Battling from the opening bell, James and Molina each had success with swift jabs and power shots throughout the first half of the fight. The intensity continued in the second half with both fighters sensing the bout was hanging in the balance of each stanza.
Said James, “I thought when he first came out in the first couple of rounds, it was pretty close. He was making it a tough fight. As the fight went on, I got him to fight my fight. I kept him on the outside.
I stuck to my game plan. I felt like I should have been busier. He had some tricky movement with his feet. The range was tough. I had a hard time finding my range, but once I found it, everything fell into place.
I believe I did gain a lot of fans bosiung bona and I can’t wait to get back in the ring.
Stated Molina, “Ke ne ke nahana e ne e le haufi loana. I had a game plan, but I should have stayed inside more. He got wild and I stayed there and let him go out I started locking up. He would throw some punches that I shouldn’t have let him. I didn’t really do what I had to do.
I didn’t feel like the scorecards were fair. One judge only gave me one round. No way that was right. Either way I think I fought a good fight.
I felt like I had a lot of people behind me. I am bummed out and I feel like I let them down. I didn’t pull it off. I just hope I gave them an exciting fight.
Middleweight tšepo Kaleb Plant of Nashville, Tenn. (12-0, 9 Kos) stayed undefeated with an entertaining sixth-round stoppage of Spain’s Adatar Rodriguez (11-5-2, 7 Kos).
Plant showed excellent technique and defense keeping Rodriguez off-balance with an array of power shots. Battering the valiant Rodriguez who suffered two facial cuts, Plant earned the stoppage as the one-sided bout was stopped at 2:37 of the sixth round.
My performance was great. We are always looking to get better. I stayed patient,” re Plant. “I’ve fought on five or six PBC cards. Ke tlhohonolofatso.
I want to dedicate this to my daughter Leah in heaven. She passed last year on January 29. The anniversary is 10 days away and she gives me a lot of motivation.
I want to get back in the gym and get back as soon as I can. I’m not interested in taking time off. I’m a professional and this is what I do day in and day out.
In a scheduled six round super middleweight clash, knockout moetsi oa litšoantšo Malcolm McAllister(7-0, 7 Kos) who represented nearby Long Beach knocked out Tyrone Selders of Baton Rouge, LA (9-7-1, 6 Kos) in the third stanza. Dropped in the first round, Cobb also suffered a cut over his right yet as McAllister set a relentless pace.
Continuing to batter Selders in the next two rounds, McAllister was awarded the victory as referee Zachary Young stopped the bout at the 2:39 mark of the third round.
Stated McAllister, “I am always going to do what I have to do. I’m happy I beat a tough guy. Ke e ntoa se. Ke tla ho loantša. I don’t care where it is, we come to fight. It’s a great opportunity and being on TV is a bonus.
This is my backyard. There were more people here supporting me and cheering me on than I expected. That was a great feeling.
Opening the telecast, undefeated super middleweight prospect David Benavidez ea Phoenix (12-0, 11 Kos) stopped Burlington, VT’s Kevin Cobb, (10-2, 4 Kos) in the second round of their scheduled eight-round battle. Using heavy handed left hooks to the body, Benavidez controlled the action from the opening bell.
Staggering Cobb with an overhand right in the middle of the second round, Benavidez followed up with a full arsenal of power shots causing referee Raul Caiz Jr. to stop the bout at the time of 1:08.
About the victory, Benavidez saidI feel great we had a great training camp. If you saw my fight, I looked great as well. Phoenix has always had a lot of great talent, but not that many guys come out of Phoenix and I am proud of making a name for myself.
I knew I was going to get my opponent out that fast. I saw him fight. He doesn’t have that many skills. He was running a lot in the first round and that’s why I didn’t get him out there sooner. As soon as I got my hands on himit was goodnight.
Four of the fighters featured on ena Saturday ea Premier Boxing Champions on FOX event were also on hand enjoying the fights to kick off their fight week.
Danny Garcia
There are some great fights bosiung bona. I am happy my fighter Tommy Velasquez won by fourth round knockout. I am happy to be here.
I am proud of my fighter, he had an excellent performance and got the guy out of there.
This is a great week to start off my fight week, with a team win. The momentum is building and I can’t wait for Moqebelo bosiu.”
Sammy Vasquez
There are some great fights here and tough competitors. It makes me more excited for Saturday’s fights.
This is where you need to showcase your skills. On TV is where you need to be dominant, you need to be 100 percent on your A game. If you’re not, it gives someone else an opportunity to take your spot.
I don’t get to watch fights as a fan as much as I would like so this is a real treat for me.
Dominic Breazeale
This is a great way to kick off fight week. FS1 is here in town in downtown LA.
I am excited about the workout hosasane, press conference and the weigh-in. All of the activities coming up.
These fights have been great so far. Guys going punch for punch, blow for blow, cut for cut.
Amir Mansour
My last fighter was Gerald Washington and he was taller than Breazeale. So you have to make adjustments for taller guys, but I’ve been fighting taller guys. you will see some definite changes in my game plan.
I thought I won my last fight. I want to take the judges out of the equation.
It’s sad that you’re putting your all into something. You’re making sacrifices and then you get in a situation that you have to knock the guy out.
I’m surprised Breazeale took this fight. I’ve faced better competition.
I’m really happy to be here and cheer on these up and coming fighters and start fight week watching some great fights.

Los Angeles (January 15, 2016) – 2012 U.S. Olympian and undefeated heavyweight Dominic “Khathatso” BREAZEALE is nearing a world title shot and took time recently to discuss his upcoming showdown with Amir “Hardcore” Mansour and weigh-in on the heavyweight action this weekend before he enters the ring Moqebelo, January 23 ho tloha Staples Center a Los Angeles.

Breazeale has been training at The Rock gym in Carson, California with Manny Robles. Here is what Breazeale had to say about Mansour, training camp, the heavyweight division and more:
Dominic BREAZEALE
It wasn’t hard to refocus after the Charles Martin fight fell out. I took a couple of days off and then I was right back in the gym ka mantaha.
I have no worries about fighting a southpaw. I’ve had plenty of time to get comfortable with the game plan against a southpaw.
I just did a week of sparring in San Francisco with LeRon Mitchell. It was well worth it. He’s a southpaw, same build as Mansour. It was ideal.
I’ve seen a couple of Mansour’s fights, especially the Gerald Washington fight, and I know he wants to get inside. I need him to respect my distance and range. Washington was tall like me so it’s a good fight to study.
My time playing quarterback in college has helped me out a great deal. The footwork is very similar. Throwing footballs and throwing punches isn’t so different.
I’d like Charles Martin to defeat Vyacheslav Glazkov and then hopefully I can fight him. Glazkov was an Olympian and has a great deal of experience. I believe if Glazkov wins it will be in impressive fashion. I’m not sure Martin has enough talent to be in the ring with Glazkov.
Deontay Wilder is very good with his range. I’m a believer in him and I don’t think Artur Szpilka will be able to get inside. I’m picking Deontay.
My fight will be action packed for sure. I’ve got the ability to knockout Mansour and I’m looking for a knockout in the middle rounds. It will definitely be very action packed.
