Isiah Seldon ready for undefeated middleweight Tyler Howard on November 16th in Oklahoma City

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Novembre 1, 2018) – Middleweight Isiah Seldon is getting ready for his biggest fight of his career when he takes on undefeated Tyler Howard in a bout scheduled for eight-round on November 16th at The Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

 

 

 

Le combat, which is promoted by Top Rank, will be streamed live on ESPN+.

 

 

 

The main event will see WBO Junior Welterweight champion Maurice Hooker defending against Alex Saucedo.

 

 

 

Seldon (12-1-1, 4 KOs) has been training in Atlantic City under the watchful eye of Bill Johnson.

 

 

 

“I am looking forward to this great opportunity,” said Seldon. “I have been longing for an opportunity to take on a fighter such as Howard as a win will take my career to the next level.”

 

 

 

Team Seldon, has been working diligently with longtime manager Jim Kurtz very excited about the opportunity that Seldon has in front of him.

 

 

 

“It doesn’t get any bigger than fighting on a Top Rank show with an explosive main event between Hooker and Saucedo. The staff at Top Rank has been top notch. I am really excited for Isiah to get this opportunity to display his talents on a big stage. Myself and co-manager Joe Thompson are convinced Isiah is ready to shine on November 16th and it can’t get here fast enough,” said Kurtz, who has managed Seldon from day one.

 

 

 

Kurtz also managed Seldon’s father, WBA Heavyweight champion, Bruce Seldon.

 

 

 

“Isiah has reunited with his original trainer Bill Johnson and they haven’t skipped a beat. This is the first time Isiah has had a full fledged training camp. We haven’t left any stone unturned in preparation for this fight. Isiah’s conditioning is at a point that I have never seen with him before. He is getting great sparring and his improvement working with Bill in preparation for this fight has been incredible. He is ready to show the world a new and improved Isiah Seldon. He has a large legacy to follow being the son of former WBA Heavyweight Champion Bruce Seldon but Isiah is determined to make his own mark on the sport of boxing.”

 

 

 

“He has always had power in both hands, scoring knockdown in almost every fight, but now he is learning to remain calm and finish guys instead of getting overly excited and letting them off the hook. He is punching harder than ever before, putting his punches together and his boxing ability has reached a level where he can control the pace of the fight. We have taken it slow with Isiah considering he didn’t have any amateur fights but we are now at the point where he is ready to make his mark on the Middleweight division.”

Oklahoma City, D'ACCORD (Novembre 18, 2015) - Invaincu poids moyen Bo "Hands of War" Gibbs Jr. fera face à son plus grand défi à ce jour quand il fait face Delray "The Rainmaker" Raines dans un combat de dix rondes Samedi, Janvier 9 à l'aréna Firelake à Shawnee, D'ACCORD.

Un amateur solide qui l'a fait aux championnats américains et Golden Gloves nationaux, Gibbs Jr. a une parfaite 14-0 record avec sept victoires par KO. Ayant combattu tous ses combats dans l'Oklahoma, Gibbs Jr. apporte une grande foule avec lui chaque fois qu'il entre dans le cercle carré. Jusqu'ici, le 24-ans, originaire Carney a été dominant comme un pro et il est convaincu que son chapelet de succès continuera contre Raines.
"Il est une étape sur le niveau pro mais je eu plus 100 combats amateurs et fait face à un grand nombre de gars en haut. Je sais qu'il est battu beaucoup de bons adversaires, mais il n'a jamais été dans le ring avec moi. Je prévois de lui montrer des choses qu'il n'a pas vues avant. Je suis fort, jeune et je suis rapide, mais plus important, je suis intelligent. Je crois que je peux tout faire dans le ring. Les fans vont voir ce que je suis sur le point parce que je garantis que je vais gagner sur le 9e."
Un visage familier parmi les habitants, Delray Raines, 19-11-2 (14 KO), est invaincu dans le Sooner State. Vivre et combattant de Paris, AR, Raines a fait les manchettes en assommant prétendante locale Tracy Sneed et la lutte contre la nuls contre l'ancien pivot NABA George Tahdooahnippah et les mieux notés Carson Jones. Jamais à reculer devant un défi, Raines a fait face à WBA moyen junior champion Erislandy Lara, ancien Champion du Monde David Lemieux, Joe Greene, Tarvis Simms, Aaron Mitchell, Alfredo Angulo, Dominik Britsch Ronald Hearns et. Même avec l'expérience avantage précitée, Raines croit Gibbs Jr. est un bon combattant.
"Je ne frappe quiconque qu'il a affronté et je ne cherche pas devant lui,"Dit Raines. "Je ne pense pas que ce soit un combat facile parce qu'il est un grand puncheur et étais un bon amateur. Je sais que son promoteur a foi en lui sinon ils ne seraient pas lui intensifient. D'un autre côté, Je suis originaire de l'Oklahoma et je serais ravi d'obtenir plus de respect ici pour ce que je fais dans le ring contre les combattants de la ville natale. Sur 9e, Je prévois de continuer ma série de succès ici en utilisant mon expérience, atteindre et connaissances en route vers la victoire ".
