VASQUEZ BROTHERS WIN IN RENO

Маусым 13, RENO — In front of a packed crowd at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, Рено, flyweight Oscar Vasquez took a unanimous victory against Mexico’s Javier Lapizco. Oscar’s younger brother Santos scored a second-round TKO over Nestor Hernandez in a Jr. flyweight bout. Santos had Hernandez down in the first round by landing a left-hook that landed perfectly. He continued to land punches in the second and once again put Hernandez down. After a third knockdown, referee Vic Drakulich called a stop to the contest. Vasquez moves to 2-2, Hernandez to 0-2.

June 8th, RENO — The final touches for Сенбі ның world-class boxing event have been finalized by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa. The full professional boxing card will take place At Atlantis’ Paradise Ballroom 7 PM Сенбі.

 

June 11th’s card will be headlined by Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez (9-1) as he faces Mexico’s Javier Lapizco (7-3) of in an eight-round flyweight bout.

 

Oscar’s younger brother, Сантос, will also be fighting сенбіде. Santos will be fighting Nestor Hernandez of Seattle, WA in a junior-flyweight bout.

 

Two of Reno’s amateur boxing stars will be making their highly-anticipated professional debuts in separate bouts. OSCAR VASQUEZ TO HEADLINE PRO BOXING SHOW AT ATLANTIS JUNE 11TH

MAY 18th, RENO — Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa are pleased to announce an evening of world-class professional boxing on Сенбі, June 11th, 2016 in Atlantis’ Paradise Ballroom. The evening’s main event will feature is local Reno favorite Oscar Vasquez (9-1). Vasquez, a popular local flyweight, will be featured in an eight-round bout.

 

Vasquez, who recently entered into a long-term promotional agreement with Let’s Get It On Promotions, looks to continue his campaign towards world title contention. Оның соңғы шайқаста, Vasquez scored a sensational knockout win over Jose Toribio in Fallon, NV.

Clark is an NJCAA wrestling champion and a Golden Gloves boxing champion that has quickly seen his name rise to the top of several MMA light-heavyweight prospect rankings. The Lincoln High School graduate has earned over half of his career wins inside the RFA Octagon and will be looking for the biggest win of his career in the main event of RFA 37.
“It’s an honor to fight for the inaugural RFA light-heavyweight title in front of my hometown crowd in Sioux Falls,” stated Clark. “Becoming the first RFA light-heavyweight champion will mean even more to me since I get to do it against such a talented and tough opponent.”
Viana (6-0) is the older brother of Bellator star Guilherme Viana and he also trains alongside UFC star Glover Teixeira. He is a BJJ black belt and the reigning Shooto Brasil light-heavyweight champion. Viana, like Clark, has proven to be clinical with his finishing ability and is eager to fight outside of his native Brazil for the first time. His international debut will also be his first fight televised worldwide and Viana is looking to take full advantage of it.
“I am very honored to be given this opportunity,” stated Viana. “This will be my first international fight and it is a great honor to fight for the inaugural RFA light-heavyweight title. I will put on a great show for the fans at RFA 37.”

When the fight resumed, Barthelemy attacked the Russian’s eye and never let up for the remainder of the fight. He took advantage of the cut and coupled it with his height and reach advantage which led to a recipe for success as he is now a two-division world champion. “There were moments where I was trapped into my style of fighting. It took me a minute to adjust to Shafikov’s style and exchange punches with him,” Бартелеми деді. “I’m really happy with the number of punches I was able to get off.

The seventh round saw both fighters exchanging a brutal barrage of punches culminating with a fast-paced eighth and final round drawing a standing ovation from the crowd. The underdog Walker, who spent 13 years in Dixon Correctional Institute in Louisiana, scored a unanimous decision victory (79-71, 78-74, 80-72) winning the biggest fight of his life in front of a captivated national TV audience.

“If you believe in God and work hard at what you’re doing, you’re going to succeed,” Walker деді. “Look at me now.
“I had watched his previous fights and knew that my right hand would be too much for him and that I could land it anytime,” continued Walker. “My conditioning was really the difference tonight. I was in great shape and I was able to rely on that when the going got tough.”
