Former Bellator MMA World Featherweight Champion Daniel Straus looks to work his way back to the belt at “Bellator Emmanuel: Emechaghi Business” against undefeated challenger Henry Corrales

Santa Monica, Calif. (Ka 5, 2015) – Former Bellator MMA World Featherweight Champion Daniel Straus (23-6) begins his trek back to a world title when he meets undefeated promotional newcomer and former King of the Cage titlist Henry Corrales (12-0) at June’s blockbuster “Bellator Emmanuel: Emechaghi Business” omume.

The contest serves as the fifth and final Spike TV-broadcast main card matchup of the star-studded fight card.

Featuring one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights in the history of the sport with Kimbo iberi vs. Ken Shamrock, “Bellator Emmanuel: Emechaghi Business” takes place Friday, June 19, na St. Louis’ Scottrade Center na airs bi na ọgọ TV.

Tiketi maka “Bellator Emmanuel: Emechaghi Business,” nke na-amalite mgbe dị nnọọ $30, nwere ugbu a na-ere na Ticketmaster.com.

With the night’s featured bouts now complete, additional preliminary contests will be announced shortly.

A consensus pick as one the best 145-pounders on the planet, Straus is anxious to rebound from a disappointing January loss to current Bellator MMA Featherweight Champion Patrick “Baby” Freire. A member of American Top Team, Straus was ahead early in the fight and appeared to be on his way to reclaiming the belt he lost in 2014 before suffering a knee injury that limited his capabilities and eventually led to his late submission with 11 seconds left in the fourth round.

Ugbu a n'ụzọ zuru ezu natara, Straus plans on working his way back to a title bout as quickly as possible, and a victory on a high-profile card like “Bellator Emmanuel: Emechaghi Business” would certainly help him stake his claim as the division’s No. 1 contender.

Fighting professionally since 2011, Corrales began his career primarily as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu stylist, as witnessed by his five consecutive submission wins to begin his career. Otú ọ dị, he’s since worked diligently to improve his striking game, and of his past six victories, four have come by way of knockout. Corrales boasts an unblemished professional mark through the first 12 contests of his MMA tenure, including recent wins over big-show veterans Jerod Spoon and Seth Dikun.

BANTAMWEIGHTS POISED TO STEAL THE SHOW AT NEF XVIII

Ozugbo tọhapụ: Lewiston, Maine (April 30, 2015) - New England alụkarị ọgụ (NEF), America nọmba-otu mpaghara agha nkwalite, ga jide ya iri na asatọ mbuaha-mara-nkà (Emmanuel) omume, “NEF XVIII: Made in America,” na Saturday, June 13, 2015 na Androscoggin Bank Colisee na Lewiston, Maine. Earlier today, the promotion announced the addition of a professional bantamweight bout to the fight card. The contest will feature Elias “Danger Adila” Leland (2-1) stepping into the cage opposite Chad “Machine Gun” Kelly (3-2) at the bantamweight limit of 135-pounds.

Chad Kelly and Eli Leland are two guys who couldn’t put on a boring fight if they tried,” sị NEF co-nwe na-akwalite Nick DiSalvo. “Chad had the ‘Fight of the Nighton one of the first cards I ever promoted in Massachusetts years ago. I’ve followed his career since and have seen how far he’s come. Eli’s fights always steal the show on the NEF events. Fans will only need the edge of their seats for this one.

Kelly last appeared in the NEF cage in the fall of 2013 na “NEF X.That night, he defeated NEF regular Ernesto Ornelas (1-5) via second-round submission. Kelly has regularly competed in the flyweight 125-pound division throughout his career, but he and his coaches at The Fighting Arts Academy (FAA) in Leominster, Massachusetts decided to make the transition up to bantamweight beginning with the upcoming fight against Leland.

I’m very excited to be fighting for NEF in Lewiston, Maine again,” stated Kelly when reached for comment. “I fought for them my second pro fight and I loved the way they treat their fighters and how smooth everything went – ọzọ, getting the ‘Wwas nice. This fight I’m moving up to bantamweight. My coaches and I thought it was the right time. I started fighting at 19 and just have gained weight and have a massive cut to 125, plus I train with good 35ers and 45ers and do better when I’m heavier. Elias Leland is a tough grappler with good submissions. I’m sure he will be tough, but I think I will have an advantage everywhere the fight goes.

Leland, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt from the Academy of MMA in Portland, Maine, will look to avenge a loss he suffered earlier this month to Jay Perrin (2-0) na “NEF XVII.” The loss was his first since his amateur debut against Ray Wood (5-1) na September 2011. Leland has become known as a finisher over the years, submitting four opponents and defeating one via technical knockout (WHO) at previous NEF events.

I have nothing but respect for anyone that is willing to fight me,” Kwurula Leland. “Otú ọ dị, coming off a loss, I’m pissed and hungry as hell. This will be an exciting fight for anyone that sees it. So you all better be there to see an amazing show.
