BUDAPEST, HONGRIE - Plusieurs combattants des deux Bellator 177: Dantas contre. Figue et Bellator Kickboxing 6 se sont réunis à Budapest ce matin pour parler aux médias de leurs combats à venir ce vendredi nuit à l'intérieur de la Budapest Sports Arena.

Deux titres seront en ligne, comme Eduardo «Dudu» Dantas défend sa ceinture de poids coq Bellator contre l'ancien champion de la LFA Leandro Higo, tandis que le tenant du titre des poids welter du Bellator kickboxing Zoltan Laszak affronte Karim Ghajji dans un match revanche du championnat.

POUR DIFFUSION IMMÉDIATE: Lewiston, Maine (Avril 10, 2017) – Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF) présente son prochain événement d'arts martiaux mixtes “NEF 28: INVINCIBLE” Samedi, Avril 29, 2017 au Colisée Androscoggin Bank à Lewiston, Maine. Plus tôt aujourd'hui,, the fight promotion announced that “Incassable 2.0” Derek Shorey (4-8) would step in to face Voler “La Bête” Best (0-0) in a featherweight bout after Best’s original opponent, Matt Probin (0-0), fell out due to medical reasons.

For Shorey, the opportunity to fight came at the perfect time. The head of the Dexter, Maine-based Shatterproof Combat Club had planned to take an extended leave from competition after a loss to Josh Parker (5-8) last fall at “NEF 26.” Fate intervened recently, cependant, when tragedy beset Shorey’s family. La semaine dernière, four of his children and their mother were left homeless after a two-alarm fire in Somersworth, New Hampshire.

“I wasn’t planning on fighting this soon,” Saïd Shorey, “but when something like this happens, we do what we can. I asked Matt (Peterson, NEF matchmaker) for a fight to try and get some money to help rebuild after the fire and as fate would have it, a spot opened up. Rob Best is a grinder, nothing but respect for him. This would be a tough fight for me even with a full camp, but I believe everything happens for a reason, and I still have a lot of fight left in me – especially when my heart gets involved.”

NEF further announced that the promotion would be raising funds at the “NEF 28” event to help assist Shorey’s family.

TORINO, ITALIE – Fighters from both Bellator 176: Carvalho vs. Manhoef 2 et Bellator Kickboxing 5 converged on the historic Comune di Torino for the official press conference for the events taking place at the Pala Alpitour in Torino, Italie. In addition to the fighters, Président Bellator Scott Coker, along with Okatagon President Carlo DiBlasi and Torino Minister of Sport Roberto Finardi, all spoke about Samedi nights anticipated card.

Bellator 176: Carvalho vs. Manhoef 2 airs this Samedi, Avril 8 sur Spike au 3 p.m. ET and will be immediately followed by Bellator Kickboxing 5, which airs at 5 p.m. ET.
