SAN ANTONIO, TX – November 29, 2017 – Combate Americas today announced a complete, seven-fight preliminary bout card lineup for it’s first-ever live television event in Texas State – “TS-1 Promotions Presents: Combate 19 (Queen Warriors)" – taking place at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio – påFredag, December 1, live on Telemundo (12 a.m. OCH/11 p.m. CT).

The preliminary fight card will stream live in its entirety on the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo app, TelemundoDeports.com and Facebook Live, börjar vid9 p.m. OCH/8 p.m., CT, immediately prior to the live Telemundo broadcast of the three-fight main card headlined by the much-anticipated women’s atomweight (105 pounds) showdown between rivals Kyra "Mogwai" Batara (6-4) Las Vegas, Nev. och Paulina “Firefox” Granados (4-2) Corpus Christi, Texas.

At the top of the undercard lineup, rising star and former Fort Hood U.S. Marine Corps Combatives Instructor Ray “The Judge” Rodriguez (12-4) of San Antonio will battle submission ace Michael “Mayhem” Rodriguez (9-5) of Donna, Texas in a bantamweight (135 pounds) tävling.

TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF WITH ‘RAMPAGE’ JACKSON VS. CHAEL SONNEN ATBellator 192 IN LA ON JAN. 20

LOS ANGELES –The bracket for the Bellator MMA World Grand Prix 2018 Heavyweight Tournament has been set.

 

Vid Bellator 192: Lima vs. MacDonald på Januari 20, 2018 at The Forum in Los Angeles, the tournament will begin with former champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (37-12) taking on renowned trash-talker Chael Sonnen (30-15-1) in an exciting first-round matchup. The event will air on the soon-to-launch Paramount Network.

 

Kort därefter, Matt Mitrione (12-5) kommer att träffa Roy Nelson (23-14) på Februari 16 vid Bellator 194, an event which will emanate from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. In April, the greatest heavyweight of all time Fedor Emelianenko (36-5, 1 NC) battles former UFC champ Frank Mir(18-11) inside Allstate Arena in Chicago in a long-awaited clash. The final first round bout will feature current Bellator light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader (24-5) taking on former STRIKEFORCE champ "King Mo" Lawal (21-6, 1 NC) at San Jose, California’s SAP Center in May.

 

Dates for both the semi-finals and final will be determined, as will tournament alternates who will be available to fill in due to any unforeseen circumstances. The year-long World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament will culminate in the winner becoming the new Bellator world heavyweight champion.

Ingusjien, Ryssland (November 25, 2017) — Russian challenge Khamzat Dalgievended the three-year plus reign of John “Detta är den” Bunchinger as M-1 Challenge featherweight champion, knocking the Slovakian in the opening round in last night’s M-1 Challenge 86: Battle of the Narts” main event, i Ingusjien, Ryssland.
M-1 Challenge 86 showcased MMA fighters from a dozen different countries: Ryssland, USA, Slovakien, Finland, Kanada, Frankrike, Brasilien, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraina, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Buchingers (32-6-0, M-1: 7-2-0) originally captured his M-1 Challenge featherweight title more than three years ago, när han slog ut Tural Nizami in the fourth round of their M-1 Challenge 52 Fight of the Night, also held in Ingushetia. Buchinger had made two title defenses, winning a five-round unanimous decision over Mansour Barnaoui vidM-1 Challenge 62 på oktober 10, 2016, as well as in his last action this past June atM-1 Challenge 80 i Kina, at which he locked in a choke to defeat Timor Nagibin by fourth-round submission this past June.

MIAMI – November 21, 2017 - On the heels of a historic, first partnership together, Combate Americas and Telemundo Deportes announced today, the live broadcast on Telemundo, (12 a.m. OCH/11 p.m. CT) of the worldwide premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise’s much-anticipated next event, headlined by a women’s showdown between fierce atomweight (105 pounds) rivals Kyra "Mogwai" Batara (6-4) och Paulina “Firefox” Granados(4-2), from the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas den Fredag, December. 1.

The victor of the matchup between the 23-year-old Batara of Las Vegas, Nev. and the 29-year-old Granados of Corpus Christi, Texas – both unbeaten to date in La Jaula – will represent the U.S. against ferocious finisher Lisbeth “Coneja” Lopez Silva (5-3) in the first-ever Combate Americas Pan-Regional championship bout in February 2018.

“We are thrilled to continue this tremendous partnership with Telemundo Deportes as Combate Americas closes out a banner year filled with incredible milestones, and presents a fight card on December 1 that is highlighted by one of the most competitive rivalries in our sport today, the culmination of which will see it’s winner represent the U.S. in a high-stakes championship fight,”Sade Combate Americas vd Campbell McLaren.

Calling the action live on Telemundo will be famed, multiple-time WWE Heavyweight Champion and retired MMA star Alberto Del Rio, Telemundo Deportes’ Edgar Lopez, Combate Americas superstar Erik “Goyito” Perez, play-by-play man Andres Bermudez och Andrea Street.

In a previously announced, fjäder (145 pounds) co-main event, slagkraftiga, snabbt stigande stjärna Andres “The Bullet” Quintana (12-2) av Albuquerque, N.M. will face his most formidable opponent to date, krigsvana Rey "The Warrior" Trujillo (21-19) av Houston, Texas.

VAD: Limited-Edition Kimbo Slice Bobblehead Giveaway

 

The world lost an icon in June of 2016 with the passing of Kimbo Slice. The unmistakable backyard brawler and mixed martial artist will be commemorated, along with his signature golden smile and chain, with a limited-edition bobblehead.

 

The giveaway will take place Lördag, Jan. 20, and will be limited to the first 5,000 fans in attendance for Bellator 192: Lima vs. MacDonald at The Forum in Los Angeles.

 

The bobblehead giveaway is limited to one per person and will only be available to ticketholders upon entry into the arena.

A native of the Bahamas, the late Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson was one of the most recognizable figures in all of combat sports. After making a name for himself in the infamous world of street fighting, where he was labeled “The King of the Web Brawlers” by Rolling Stone, the internet sensation left underground fighting to become a professional mixed martial artist. The street brawler found the same success inside the cage that he had in his backyard in South Florida, collecting victories in each of his first three professional fights. Slice would go onto compete on season 10 av The Ultimate Fighter, where his bout with Roy Nelson on Spike TV set a viewership ratings record for the series that still stands today. Slice also made a flawless transition into professional boxing, where he earned seven consecutive victories. LOS ANGELES – Bellator returns to Pechanga Resort & Casino i Temecula, Calif. för Bellator 193 på Fredag, Jan. 26, 2018. The card will be headlined by Riverside, California-native Lorenz Larkin (18-7, 1 NC) against Menifee, Kaliforniens Fernando Gonzalez (27-14) in a 180-pound catchweight bout.

JERUSALEM – Earlier today, Bellator 188 competitors Noad Lahat (11-3) och Haim Gozali (7-4), along with Bellator heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko (36-5, 1 NC) and Bellator brand ambassador Royce Gracie, met with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu at the nation’s Parliament in Jerusalem.

 

During the visit, Netanyahu expressed his support for the upcoming Bellator event in Tel Aviv later this week. This event marks Bellator’s second show in Israel and features two prominent Israeli fighters at the top of the card, as Lahat headlines and Gozali competes in the co-main event. Dessutom, the preliminary bouts feature many of Israel’s best up-and-coming regional talent.
