NATE WHITE STEPS IN AT LAST MINUTE TO SAVE LIGHTWEIGHT FIGHT AT NEF 40

Za immediate release: Orono, Mejn (Rujan 3, 2019) - New England Borbe (NEF) will debut in Orono this Saturday, Rujan 7, 2019 at the Collins Center for the Arts with the promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 40: School of Hard Knocks.” Ranije danas, NEF announced the addition of an amateur lightweight fight to the card. White, a member of the Maine Army National Guard, will be traveling straight from being tazed and peppered sprayed only hours before his scheduled competition with Savage on Saturday night, as part of his Guard OC and tazer qualification training.

“This is a busy week in my life,” said White. “I’m in Texas right now for a job interview and will be flying back on Wednesday to head off to drill weekend with the Guard before my fight on Saturday night, but life is all about seizing opportunities when they become available. I’m excited for the chance to test myself against Ryan. I’ve heard that he is a good guy and I know he trains hard, so I’m excited to see how my skills match-up against him.”

Ryan Savage, a fellow active serviceman with the Air Guard, will be looking for the first win of his amateur MMA career this Saturday night in Orono. At “NEF 38” last April, Savage lost via submission to Connecticut’s Arii Fernandez in the first round of Savage’s debut. He currently represents First Class MMA of Brunswick, Mejn.

“I’m very fortunate to be given another chance to showcase my true potential,” said Savage. “My first MMA fight opened my eyes to the importance of being an all around fighter, and was a very humbling experience. Nate has been on a roll these last two cards, and I know is training hard to continue his undefeated streak. Nate has great skill, but I’m ready to put that to the test and show everyone I’m here to stay.”

“Fight lore is full of legendary tales of guys stepping-up on last-minute notice to save bouts—and this is another example of that,” said Matt Peterson, NEF Matchmaker and co-owner. “Two active servicemen from respected gyms in the state—one a boxer and the other a wrestler—agreeing to an MMA fight on short notice is just one more added attraction to the stacked card that we have set to wow UMaine with this weekend. I’ve never been more excited to go back to school.”

There are thirty seconds between each bout and each team captain will be responsible for strategically deciding which team member will participate next. All members of each team must compete at least once. Captains will also have the option to compete for their team.

ZAC RICHARD RETURNS TO NEF CAGE IN LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION AGAINST BRANDON SEWALL

Za immediate release: Orono, Mejn (Srpanj 19, 2019) - New England Borbe (NEF) will debut in Orono on September 7, 2019 at the Collins Center for the Arts with the promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 40: School of Hard Knocks.” Ranije danas, NEF announced the addition of an amateur lightweight bout to the card. Zac Richard has competed twice previously in the lightweight division, winning both fights in 2018. That same year, Richard was voted “Rookie of the Year” by NEF fans. Richard went to a five-round draw with Fred Lear for the amateur featherweight championship last February in what has been a leading contender for “Borba godine” in 2019. Whether it was in wrestling or now in MMA, he comes to fight. I have no doubt that he will be on the warpath on September 7th, looking to get back to his winning ways.”

LOS ANGELES — Bellator is proud to announce that Russian MMA great Fjodor Emelianenko (38-6, 1 NC) has signed an exclusive multi-fight contract extension to finish his career inside the Bellator cage.

Za immediate release: Lewiston, Mejn (Lipanj 4, 2019) - New England Borbe (NEF) vraća se u subotu u Androseggin Bank Colisee, Lipanj 22 sa svojim sljedećim događajem mješovitih borilačkih vještina, “NEF 39: SVE AMERIČKI.” Ranije danas, promocija borbe je to objavila Jesse “Viking” Erickson (9-7) će zadovoljiti Dylan Lockard (5-1) za upražnjeno NEF profesionalno prvenstvo u lakoj kategoriji. Erickson je već tri puta pokušao osvojiti lagani pojas, dva puta protiv Brucea Boyingtona (17-11) i jednom protiv trenutnog UFC-ovog konkurenta Devina Powella (9-4), samo da bi u svakoj borbi izostao. Erickson kaže da će biti strpljiv u ovoj borbi u nadi da će osvojiti naslov koji mu je do danas izmicao.

"Prvi, Želim zahvaliti Dylanu što je istupio i prihvatio borbu,” primijetio je Erickson. “Djeluje dobro zaokruženo i ima pobjede nad nekim kvalitetnim protivnicima. Megan Rosado je na rasporedu u lice Sarai Knapp u borbi težine od 135 funti.

Megan Rosado is currently an even 1-1 since debuting in the NEF cage late last year. She took on Glory Watson at “NEF 36” in September and went the distance in a back-and-forth, thrilling contest. Watson was able to pull out a split decision on the judges’ scorecards to take the victory. Rosado returned last month at “NEF 38” in Portland, Maine to face Amanda Bennett (0-2).  Opet, the fight went to the judges’ bodovima, but this time it was Rosado walking out of the cage with the win. She represents Nate Libby’s Evolution Athletix based in Saco, Mejn.

The bout between Rosado and Knapp is the second women’s fight announced for the “NEF 39” card. Also on the amateur card that night, Glory Watson (4-0) will meet Caree Hill (4-1) for the vacant women’s flyweight championship.

Za immediate release: Lewiston, Mejn (Svibanj 25, 2019) - New England Borbe (NEF) vraća se u subotu u Androseggin Bank Colisee, Lipanj 22 sa svojim sljedećim događajem mješovitih borilačkih vještina, “NEF 39: SVE AMERIČKI.” One of the featured fights on the amateur portion of the pro/am card will see Nate Boucher (4-3) tangle with Robert Presley (5-4) for the vacant NEF Amateur Flyweight Title.

This will be Boucher’s second attempt at capturing the flyweight belt. Then-undefeated, Boucher met Justin Witham (4-4) u studenom 2017 for the championship in Portland, Mejn. Witham went on to win the bout, i naslovni, via split decision on the judges’ bodovima. Many in attendance, međutim, felt that Boucher had dominated the bout.

The loss to Witham was the start of a three-fight skid for the former wrestler from Mountain Valley High School in Rumford, Maine. Boucher has rebounded and put himself back in contention for the flyweight strap with back-to-back first-round submission victories at “NEF 36” a “NEF 37,” odnosno.

Boucher represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Lewiston, Mejn.

With this being his tenth amateur bout, Presley plans on turning pro soon after. He represents both 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu and the Lancaster Academy of MMA.

“On June 22nd, I will be flying in from the little town of Newark, Ohio to go to war with Nate Boucher for the NEF flyweight title,” said Presley. “I don’t know much about Nate, but I will be honored to share the cage with him.
