FOUR TITLE FIGHTS HEADLINE FINAL NEF CARD OF 2019 IN PORTLAND

PARA DIVULGAÇÃO IMEDIATA: Portland, Maine (Outubro 23, 2019) - Fights Nova Inglaterra (NEF) returns to Aura in Portland, Maine on November 9, 2019 com seu próximo evento de artes marciais mistas, "NEF 41: Collision Course.” Tickets for the event are currently on sale atwww.AuraMaine.com. Hoje cedo, NEF announced the full fight card for the event – a total of 17 bouts scheduled for the evening.

Four amateur title fights will headline the card. It will be the first time since “NEF 9” in August 2013 that an amateur fight has been the main event of one of the promotion’s cards. (De importância, “NEF 9” was an all amateur event.)

“NEF 41” will also mark the first time a women’s bout has headlined one of the promotion’s events as undefeatedGlória "A Fúria" Watson (6-0) assumeCara Greenwell(9-4) to crown the inaugural NEF Amateur Women’s Strawweight Champion. Watson will have a chance to make history in the bout by becoming the first NEF athlete to simultaneously hold titles in two weight divisions. She is the reigning NEF Amateur Women’s Flyweight Champion.

“Killa” Kam Arnold (5-1) will defend the NEF Amateur Bantamweight strap against Walt Shea (3-1) in the evening’s co-main event. Arnold has held the title since June 2018 and most recently defended it at “NEF 38” last spring with a 21-second knockout of Henry Clark (5-5). It will be Shea’s second attempt at capturing the title after a losing effort at “NEF 30” in August 2017.

Zac "Rocky" Richard(4-2-1) vai enfrentar“Magic” Mike Murray(2-0) for the vacant NEF Amateur Lightweight Title. Both athletes are coming off wins last month in Orono, Maine at “NEF 40.” Richard knocked his opponent out with a slam in the first round of his bout while Murray submitted his opponent – also in the first round.

Nate Boucher (5-3) eSteve Desjardins(5-3) are scheduled to meet for the vacant NEF Amateur Flyweight Championship. Boucher is on a three-fight win streak, finishing all three opponents in the first round by submission. Desjardins returned with a first-round victory last month at “NEF 40” after an absence of several years from cage competition.

As of press time, NEF executives were searching for an opponent for NEF Amateur Welterweight ChampionDuncan “The Highlander” Smith(5-3).  Infelizmente, Smith’s original challenger, Jordan Norman, recently pulled out of the fight when he could not gain medical clearance.

Matt “Ken Doll” Denning(5-10) eKeegan “The Flu” Hornstra (4-11) will square off in a professional catchweight contest. Both will be looking to rebound from recent losses. A former PRIDE FC Heavyweight Champion and PRIDE 2004 Heavyweight World Grand Prix Champion, “The Last Emperor” returns to where his career started. Often referred to as “The GOAT” by fans around the world, his career resume stands as one of the most impressive in the history of the sport with victories over Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Hunt, Mark Coleman and Andrei Arlovski, para nomear alguns. LOS ANGELES – For the second time in as many years, Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii will host the homecoming of Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (10-0), as she puts her undefeated record and Bellator women’s flyweight title on the line against No. 1 contendor Kate Jackson (11-3-1) in the main event on Saturday, Dezembro. 21, streamed exclusively on the DAZN app.



Além, Bellator Hawaii will feature the first quarterfinal matchup of Bellator’s Featherweight World Grand Prix, when the man with the longest winning streak in promotional history, A.J. McKee (15-0), takes on the always-exciting Derek Campos (20-9) in the evening’s co-headliner.

Born and raised in Honolulu, current Bellator women’s flyweight champ Macfarlane made her pro debut in 2015 with a KO victory that went viral and has not looked back since, remaining undefeated in her career. With impressive victories over Valerie Letourneau e Veta Arteaga, Macfarlane was the focal point of Bellator’s debut in Hawaii last year. A proud graduate of Honolulu’s Punahou High School in 2009, Macfarlane later attended San Diego State University, where she would go on to earn her Master’s degree in liberal arts and science with a focus on indigenous issues – a subject she remains passionate about, launching “The Ilimanator Scholarship” for indigenous girls last year. Now Ilima-Lei turns her focus to Kate Jackson, who will be looking to play the role of spoiler when she enters the Bellator cage on December 21.



A winner of seven of her last eight fights, Kate Jackson has earned her way to a title shot against the division’s inaugural champion. A competitor on the 23rd season of The Ultimate Fighter, Jackson hails from Lostwithiel, Cornualha, Inglaterra, and most recently defeated Lena Ovchynnikova em Londres. Jackson made her Bellator debut in 2017 with a first round-victory over of Colleen Schneider and would later go on to dominate Anastasia Yankova at historic Bellator 200 in front of her hometown crowd. Facing the biggest test of her career, Jackson looks to reign atop the flyweight division when she leaves Hawaii.



With an undefeated professional record of 15-0, including six knockouts and eight first round finishes, there doesn’t seem to be much more for the talent-oozing 24-year-old to prove to the MMA community before his name is routinely mentioned among the division’s elite. With all 15 of his career wins coming under the direction of the Scott Coker-led promotion, the Team BodyShop product has made it clear that he has his sights on Patrick "Pitbull" and his 145-pound belt, as he continues to build a strong argument as the new face of Bellator. HARTFORD, Conn. (Setembro 7, 2019) – Campeão Mundial Peso Meio Médio CES MMA Vinícius de Jesus fez sua primeira defesa de título esta noite, parando o desafiante do jogo Chris “O Assassino de Cleveland” Lozano na terceira rodada do evento principal “CESMMA 58” no Connecticut Convention Center em Hartford.

O card principal foi transmitido ao vivo e exclusivamente no UFC FIGHT PASS®, serviço de subscrição do mundo líder digital para esportes de combate.

Lozano (10-5) caiu De Jesus (9-2) na rodada de abertura com um tiro na têmpora, mas o brasileiro se recuperou e revidou. Os dois primeiros rounds foram travados de forma relativamente cautelosa, já que ambos os lutadores se revezaram sendo o agressor. De Jesus assumiu o comando no terceiro ligado em socos e chutes, evitando os ataques ofensivos limitados de Lozano. Um forte soco de De Jesus quebrou a cabeça de Lazano e essa é a abertura que a chance de defesa criou.
