At last year’s Rio games, the 23-year-old Rodriguezovercame incredible odds to win the first Olympic boxing medal for Mexico since Christian Bejerano in 2000. The Chihuahua native and his teammates had to resort to begging on public buses and streets in Mexico to raise money to compete in international boxing tournaments. He completed his road to the medal stand by defeating Egypt’s Hosam Bakr Abdin to clinch a medal in the middleweight division. Rodriguez made his pro debut in April with a dominant decision victory over Brian True in Los Angles.
A teammate of Rodriguez on the 2016 Мексички олимпијски тим, Delgadomade his pro debut in style in April with a third round stoppage of Luis Angel Silva. Now that sanction has officially been granted, the next fight for red-hot undefeated super middleweight David “Црвена застава” Benavidez will be an eliminator for the #2 mandatory challenger spot in the WBC’s world rankings against highly regarded contender Rogelio “Porky” Medina, од Сонора, Мексико.

As part of TyC’s ongoing 25th anniversary celebration of boxing shows, this exciting event will feature a 10-round battle for the WBC Silver Latino Super Bantamweight Championship between Buenos Aires, Argentina’s Roman Ruben Reynoso (19-1-2, 8 КОс) and Sonora, Mexico’s Christian “Molacho” Валензуела (13-0-1, 8 КОс).
Reynoso has left his native Argentina just twice in his career, but on one of those occasions, fought to a split draw with well-regarded prospect Adam Lopez on ShoBox: The New Generation in July 2016. Like Reynoso, the undefeated Valenzuela has never left his home country, but has stayed busy with 14 fights in his three-year career.

Five four-round bouts will open the show, featuring super featherweights Alexander Villa (3-0, 3 КОс) of Guadalajara and Zapopan, Mexico’s Hugo Barajas (0-2); featherweights Jair Campos (1-0, 1 КО) од Тепиц, Nayarit and Guadalajara’s Leonardo Cervantes (1-8); as well as three more “All Guadalajara” match-ups, including junior middleweights Oscar Larios (Про Деби) and Juan Carlos González (Про Деби); welterweights Walter Loera (1-0, 1 КО) and Angel Fernando Lambarena (0-1); and lightweights Jose Manuel Garcia (1-0, 1 КОс) and Luis Guzman (0-1).
