NEW YORK – October 29, 2018 – Combate Americas today announced a bantamweight (135 פונט) main event matchup between superstar Erik “El Goyito” Perez (18-6) and prolific finisher Andres “Doble A” Ayala (12-6) for the Mixed Martial Arts (ממאַ) sports franchise’s return to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, מעקסיקא, אויף שבת, נאוועמבער. 17, live in English in the U.S. and Canada on DAZN (10 פּ.ם. עט / 7 פּ.ם. פּט), and live on television in Spanish in the U.S. on both Univision (12 אַ.ם. עט / פּט) and Univision Deportes Network (UDN) (12 אַ.ם. ET/9 p.m. פּט).
The addition of the matchup between the two 28-year-old competitors completes the Combate Americas fight card, which will take place at Gimnasio Nuevo Leon Unido, מיט 10 ענדס.
A native of Monterrey who fights out of San Diego, קאַליף., USA, Perez will seek his fifth straight victory after making his Combate Americas promotional debut in stunning fashion, avenging a previous defeat at the hands of old rival David “D.J.” Fuentes by scoring a third round (1:22) נאַקאַוט (פּאַנטשיז) on Fuentes in the main event of “Combate Estrellas II” at Gimnasio Nuevo Leon Unido on April 20.
פּערעז, who has notched 12 פון זיין 18 קאַריערע ווינס דורך וועג פון (ה)קאָ אָדער סאַבמישאַן, left the Ultimate Fighting Championship (ופק) on a three-fight win streak to sign with Combate Americas last November.
Both of Perez’s brothers – older brother Ivan and younger brother Jair – are also slated for action on the card.
Perez was slated to face off with knockout artist John “Sexi Mexi” Castaneda in a Combate Americas headlining contest on October 13, but the matchup was called off after Castaneda was forced to withdraw due to a staph infection that he sustained just a week before the commitment.
Ayala of Bogota, Colombia is one of his nation’s top ranked bantamweights. He will make his debut in La Jaula, די קאָמבאַטע אמעריקע שטייַג, on the heels of a TKO (ground and pound) victory on Guido Gongora in a main event bout in Barranquilla, Colombia on July 27.

O’Quinn Wins Again! Undefeated Detroit Bantamweight Sends Mexico’s Esquivel Through the Ropes in Second Round TKO Victory

Undefeated bantamweight prospect Ja’Rico “Great Lakes King” O’Quinn continued building his reputation as one of Detroit’s most promising young fighters on Friday night with a second-round stoppage of former world-title challenger Christian “Italiano” Esquivel of Mexico.
Fighting at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, O’Quinn (איצט 10-0-1, 7 קאָס) showed why he is so highly regarded by sending Esquivel through the ropes for a TKO victory at 2:56 פון קייַלעכיק צוויי.

UNDEFEATED BANTAMWEIGHT PROSPECT EROS CORREA SCORES 2ND ROUND KNOCKOUT IN MEXICO

Jonathan Rice scored a first-round knockout against, Juan Carlos Moreno. After a few explosive exchanges, Rice caught Moreno with a counter right hand that sent him to the canvas. Moreno got up and came firing back, only to get caught again with a strait right cross, forcing the referee to stop the bout at the 2:19 mark of round one.
“Fighting in Mexico is a challenging experience when the whole crowd is against you,” said Rice. “After a few exchanges I got comfortable in there and took him out. I’m thankful to my manager Greg for keeping me busy. I’m ready to get right back in the ring and keep this momentum going.”

Puente, 19 years old of Vista, California by way of Sinaloa, Mexico will campaign in the lightweight division.
Puente started boxing at the age of eight years-old by his father/trainer, יוחנן.
He went on to win the 2016 National Youth Open Championship, and was a member of Team USA. Puente was a favorite to be a member of the 2020 United States Olympic Team.
Puente, who stand 5’8″ likens his style to a cross between Danny Garcia and Yuriorkis Gamboa.

SANGINOV REMAINS UNDEFEATED WITH TKO VICTORY IN MEXICO
לאַס וועגאַס, נוו (יוני 25, 2018) – Undefeated WBC Youth middleweight prospect Mekhrubon Sanginov (6-0, 4 קאָס), scored an impressive third round TKO over Carlos Lopez, this past Saturday in Tijuana, מקס.
Sanginov, who trains out of Las Vegas by way of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, took the fight to Lopez from the opening round. Sanginov, who has power in both hands, landed some devastating hooks to the head of Lopez in the first two rounds, softening up him up. After landing a powerful straight right cross to the face of Lopez in the middle of round three, Sanginov was able to end the fight with a TKO victory. מיט די געווינען, Sanginov extends his winning streak to six in a row.
“This was my first time fighting in Mexico and I wanted to make it a memorable one,” said Mekhrubon Sanginov. “I landed some powerful blows in the early rounds and got him out of there in round three. רעכט איצט, I’m focused on getting back in the gym to get ready for my next fight.
