Murphys Boxing is proud to announce their 4th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Clash sa bude konať dňa Sobota, March 16th znova na House of Blues v Boston.


Headlining the stacked card will be Whitman, Massachusetts’ Mark DeLuca (22-1, 13 KO). Aktuálny NABA Super Welterweight Champion, is ranked #10 in the world by the WBA and will defend his title against Connecticut’s Jimmy Williams (16-1-1, 5 KO) in an all New England 10 round battle.


DeLuca is coming off the highest profile win of his career this past October when he fought on the undercard of Demetrius Andrade je world title fight at TD Garden which was shown worldwide on DAZN. DeLuca won a unanimous decision in what was an immediate rematch of the only blemish on his record, a split decision loss to Walter Wright, considered by most in attendance to be a robbery. Now DeLuca finds himself, not only one of the most popular fighters in New England, but also in contention for a world title shot later this year.


“Being in the Top 10 teraz, I know that I’m only a phone call away from a life changing opportunity.”, explains the former Marine turned title contender.


“I’m always in the gym. I’m staying focused. I know I need a good performance against Williams to keep that opportunity alive.”


Having already headlined a Murphys Boxing event on St. Patrika, DeLuca is well aware that it isn’t the average boxing card.

The Cork, Ireland native who is promoted by Murphys Boxing in association with Golden Boy Promotions has moved down to the junior middleweight division where he is looking to make a splash in 2019 after finishing last year with a unanimous decision victory in his home country against the 40 fight veteran, Gabor Gorbics.


“Boston is a home away from home for me.”, says the outspoken, handlebar mustached slugger who has fought in the New England area 10 doba.


“Murphys Boxing Saint Patrick’s Day events are not to be missed. The crowd is insane and I’m coming to give them what they wanna see… a fight!”


The night will also feature a who’s who of New England’s hottest young contenders and prospects.


Murphys Boxing’s Charles Foster (17-0, 8 KO) will put his NABA Light Heavyweight Championship title on the line in a 10 round bout against Chicago’s Mike Jimenez (22-1-2, 14 KO).


The New Haven, Connecticut based Foster is a world ranked contender (#10 v WBA) and is fresh off a national television appearance last year when he beat the previously undefeated, Alvin Varmall, Jr. na Showtime. He will face one of his toughest challenges yet against the dangerous, power punching, Jimenez whose only loss came to two-time world title challenger, Jesse Hart.


Revere, Massachusetts’ favorite son, Travis Mazac Gambardella (5-0-2, 2 KO), who trains out of the popular, KnuckleHeadz Gym in Ventura, Kalifornia, will return home to try and extend his undefeated record against fellow Boston area fighter, Maceo Crowder (2-2, 1 KO) v 6 round middleweight contest.


South Boston’s Joe Farina (4-1, 3 KO), who last fought against Gambardella, dropping a razor close majority decision on the undercard of Demetrius Andrade’s middleweight title fight at TD Garden, will look to get back in the winning column in a four round welterweight rematch against New Jersey’s steve Moore (1-6, 1 KO) who lost a split decision to Farina last year.


In keeping with the holiday’s theme, there will be an all Irish grudge match when Lucan, Írsko je John Joyce (7-0, 4 KO) travels to America to take on Cork, Írsko je Noel Murphy (12-1-1, 2 KO), who is now based in New York City, in an 8 round welterweight clash that has Irish pride on the line.


The night will be kicked off by the highly anticipated professional debut of Mansfield, Massachusetts welterweight, James Perello. The decorated amateur fighter will turn proagainst Woburn, Massachusetts’ Bruno Dias (0-5) v 4 round contest.

As for the incredibly busy and successful year the promotional company is coming off of, Casey, who will also play 4 consecutive shows with Dropkick Murphys the same week at the same venue, is even more excited about what the new year holds.

Granite Chin Promotion presents Thanksgiving Eve show “Championship Boxing at The Armory”

QUINCY, Hmota. (November 19, 2018) – A major change has been made to this Wednesday night’s (November. 21) “Championship Boxing at The Armory” karta, v podaní Granite Chin Promotions (GCP) on Thanksgiving Eve, at the National Guard Armory (70 Victory Road) in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

 

 

 

The originally scheduled headliner, three-time world title challenger Aleksandra Magziak Lopes (18-4-3, 1 KO), withdrew when she accepted a world title shot Dec. 8 v Carson, Kalifornia, against undisputed World welterweight champion Cecelia “Prvá dáma” Braekhus (34-0, 9 KO) in the main event on HBO.

 

 

 

Many of New England’s most talented and popular boxers will still be in action this Wednesday evening. spolupromotér GCP Chris Traietti (26-4, 21 KO), fighting out of Quincy (MA), will defend his New England cruiserweight title against challenger Nick Lavin (5-9, 4 KO), of Shelton (CT), in the new eight-round main event.

 

 

 

The 33-year-old Traietti, an Iraq War veteran and college graduate, defeated the heavy-handed Lavin by way of an eight-round unanimous decision August 5, 2017 for the N.E. názov.

Crushing Power Puncher Shohjahon Ergashev Returns This Saturday in Chicago

Fearsome super lightweight crusher Shohjahon “Descendant of Tamerlane” Ergashev will return to action this Saturday, November 10, at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago against Springfield, Massachusetts, veteran Zack “AK47” Ramsey.

 

 

 

Ergashev (13-0, 12 KO) of Detroit via Uzbekistan and Ramsey (8-4, 4 KO) will meet in a six-round battle on the undercard of the World Boxing Super Series Cruiserweight Tournament doubleheader featuring former WBO Cruiserweight World Champion Krzysztof Glowacki (30-1, 19 KO), from Walcz, Poľsko, will face Maksim Vlasov (42-2, 25 KO) Samara, Rusko, in a 12-round battle for the Interim WBO World Championship and former WBC World Cruiserweight Champion Mairis Briedis (24-1, 18 KO) from Riga, Lotyšsko, will take on Hamburg, Germany’s Noel Mikaelian (23-1, 10 KO) for the WBC World Diamond Belt Championship.

 

 

 

Ergashev is off to a roaring start as a professional, going the distance only once, tak ďaleko. He is the current World Boxing Association International Super Lightweight Champion. The wildly popular Lopes (18-4-3, 1 KO), fighting out of Marshfield, MA, is a native of Poland. She hasn’t fought since last December due to injuries suffered in a car accident. Lopes will face

WORCESTER, Hmota. (August 19, 2018) – Seven years after his last fight, “Gallo” Jose Antonio Rivera returned to the ring in grand fashion last night (Sobota) na titulok “Návrat domov, presented by Granite Chin Promotions in association with Rivera Promotions Entertainment, The Palladium vo Worcesteri, Massachusetts.

 

 

 

The 45-year-old Rivera (42-6-1, 25 KO), 35 pounds lighter than he was in February when he started training, packed the house in his hometown, fully entertained his supportive fans. Three-time, two-division world champion Rivera pressured Larry “Slomoshun: Kovář (10-38-1, 7 KO) from the opening bell and he never let up.

 

 

 

It took a few rounds for Rivera to wear off the rust, but he fed Smith a steady diet of body shots, gradually breaking down his opponent, as he won round after round on points. Twice in the sixth round it looked like Smith was done, but the tough Texan showed a lot of heart to survive.

 

 

 

Konečne, Rivera closed the show in the seventh round, when Smith broke his hand in the fifth round and was unable to continue, kneeling in his corner, obviously in pain.

 

 

 

“I’ve always been tough,” Rivera said after the fight, “but I was a little rusty. He tested me early but, once he saw I wasn’t going anywhere and knew he was in for a fight. I started warming up in the fourth round. I was always a 12-round fighter. I didn’t know he broke his hand until after the fight. Cítim sa skvele. Prvýkrát sa bojuje aj doma, Gray odpálil svojho herného súpera, rozlúsknuť ho obrazom-perfektné, kombinácia ľavého súboja, ktorá položila Fernandeza na chrbát. Fernandez prekonal počet, ale rozhodca Bob Benoit zastavil akciu.

 

 

Southbridge, MA junior v strednej váhe Wilfredo “Sucaro” pohan (5-0, 3 KO) zostal neporazený, pomocou neľútostného útoku tela na pokles Engelberto “Guarura” Valenzuela (11-15, 3 KO) trikrát, posledný koniec súboja v polovici tretieho kola.

 

 

 

Springfield, MA junior ľahký Joshua Orta (1-0, 1 KO) sa stal pôsobivým profesionálnym debutom v stodole, ktorý skončil keď (1-8-1, 1 KO), z Worcesteru, po treťom kole nemohol pokračovať v boji.

 

 

 

Worcesterská welterová váha Eslih Owuso (1-0) pri svojom profesionálnom debute zahral shutout, palubný veterán Bryan “Tehla” Abraham (6-31-2, 6 KO) dvakrát v druhom kole, na ceste k jednomyseľným rozhodnutím víťazstvu.

 

 

 

V úvodnom zápase noci, 45-ročný Jose Angel “KO” Ortiz (5-14-1, 2 KO) klesol Patrik Leal (0-5) 10-sekúnd do boja, ešte raz neskôr v úvodnom kole, a zastavil ho v druhom. Oritz, bojovať zo Springfieldu, MA cez Portoriko, bojoval prvýkrát po piatich rokoch, a zaznamenal svoje prvé víťazstvo v siedmich.

Ten 45-ročný Rivera (41-6-1, 24 KO), proti komu bol zápas Ruben “Moderný bojovník” Galvan, zistil až včera (Utorok) že si Galvan večer predtým zlomil prst. Texaský veterán Larry “Slomoshun” Kovář (10-37-1, 7 KO) je neskorou náhradou za Riveru v osemkolovom hlavnom turnaji.

WORCESTER, Hmota. (Júl 31, 2018) – A dozen years after he captured his third world title in two different weight classes, seven since his last fight, “Gallo” Jozef Rivera returns to the ring August 17 na titulok “Návrat domov”, v podaní Granite Chin Promotions (GCP) v spolupráci s Rivera Promotions Entertainment (RPE), The Palladium vo Worcesteri, Massachusetts.

 

 

 

Ten 45-ročný Rivera (41-6-1, 24 KO) has already lost more than 30 libier, now within four pounds of his contracted weight, since he started training earlier this year. He will headline against Ruben “Moderný bojovník” Galvan (27-26-4, 10 KO) v osemkolovom hlavnom turnaji.

 

 

 

V 1997, Rivera captured the International Boxing Organization (IBO) World welterweight title, zastavenie Gilberto Flores v druhom kole. Počas vlády Riveraho titulu, na rozdiel od iných majstrov sveta, zastával tiež prácu na plný úväzok ako súdny úradník v Massachusetts Trial Court, pozíciu vo Worcestri, ktorú si stále drží 17 rokov neskôr. Medzi prácou a tréningom, nezabúda na jeho rodinné povinnosti, Josemu sa akosi darí všetko vo svojom mimoriadne rušnom živote vybalansovať.

 

 

 

“Povedzme, že to vedie k nabitému programu,” poznamenal Rivera. “Som odhodlaný postarať sa o svoju rodinu a urobím všetko, čo bude potrebné. Pred prácou väčšinou behávam a po práci trénujem. Začať skoro a skončiť neskoro znamená rušné dni, ale prácu treba dokončiť. Práve teraz, Som uprostred najťažšieho obdobia tréningu. Týždeň boja je skôr o psychickej príprave a priberaní. Počas týždňa boja nemôžete urobiť nič, čo by vám pomohlo dostať sa do lepšej formy.”

 

 

 

Rivera si nerobí ilúzie, že jeho comeback povedie k ďalšiemu veľkému svetovému titulu. V pláne je, že bude mať ešte dva súboje, aby dosiahol súčet 50 ako pre, ale berie veci jeden boj za druhým, a stále dúfa v ďalší boj, predbežne naplánované na koniec tohto roka, bude na rovnakej karte ako profesionálny debut jeho syna.

“Tréning na tento boj bol viac mentálny ako čokoľvek iné. Bol som schopný dosiahnuť špičkový výkon pri 45 trénovať ako v najlepších rokoch. Najdôležitejšie je, že, pracovať s mojím trénerom Sean Fitzgerald, Zameral som sa na to, aby sa moje načasovanie zlepšilo, pretože uplynulo sedem rokov, čo som naposledy bojoval.

Three-time, dve divízie majster sveta “Gallo” Jose Antonio Rivera (41-6-1, 24 KO) is making his return in the “Making History” Hlavnou udalosťou, in large part because he wanted to fight on the same card as his son, A.J. Rivera, who was to become the first pro boxer who was born with Spina Bifida. A.J., who is a rising matchmaker in New England, was unable to get medically cleared in time and he will not be fighting Aug. 17.

 

 

 

The event has been renamed, “Návrat domov”, because six of the competing fighters, including Jose Antonio Rivera, live in Worcester.

 

 

 

“Bohužiaľ,” announced promoter Chuck Shearns, who co-promotes Granite Chin Promotions with Chris Traietti, “A.J. isn’t fighting on this show because he couldn’t get medically cleared in time.”

 

 

 

“I trained hard and was within five or six pounds of my contract weight,” a disappointed A.J. Rivera je vysvetlené. “I passed all of the medical tests except for the CATSCAN. I fought the doctor a little and said I wanted a second opinion. Those results won’t be in time, so I can’t fight on this card.”

Khiary Greyová: “I want to thank Rivera Promotions Entertainment, CES Boxing and Granite Chin Promotions for giving me a chance to fight at home for the first time. This is a rematch for me. I stopped him in the first round, but there was some controversy. I know he’s coming to fight.”

 

Eslih Owusi: “I just graduated from high school and I wasn’t going to turn pro until after that. Fighting as a pro will be much more exciting than in the amateurs.”

 

Jose Angel Ortiz: “Som veľmi nadšený. I haven’t fought in two years. I was supposed to return before, but things didn’t work out. I never left boxing because I’m in the gym all the time working out or training other fighters. Jose and I are both in our forties. We’re going to show everybody that we can still fight.”
