The Champ is back! Magomed Sultanakhmedov
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (August 20, 2015) – M-1 Challenge 61 has been pushed back two weeks to September 19 and moved from Beijing, China to Ingushetia, Russia, promoter M-1 Global has announced.
Originally scheduled for Sept.5, the second annual M-1 Challenge show in Beijing was postponed until a date to be determined due to the 70th celebration of China’s victory over Japan at the end of World War II. Authorities prohibited major events in China from Aug. 20 through Sept. 10.
Former M-1 Global middleweight champion Magomed “The White Wolf” Sultanakhmedov will return to action after a 4 1/2-year hiatus to headline M-1 Challenge 61 in Ingushetia against Brazilian veteran Marcelo Brito.
