Undefeated World Light Heavyweight Contender Gilberto Ramirez believes in “Zurdo,” Golden Boy & his Mexican heritage

LAS VEGAS (Avgust 23, 2021) – Undefeated **Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez** (42-0, 28 Kos) feels he’ll get his first World light heavyweight title shot because he believes in himself, his promoter Golden Boy Promotions, and his Mexican heritage.

“Canelo” and **Julio Cesar Gonzalez** (2003) are the only native Mexicans to be crowned World Light Heavyweight Champions, but everybody in boxing knows Mexican boxers are called warriors for a good reason.

“I think they’re all reluctant to fight a Mexican light heavyweight like me,” Ramirez added. “There’s a reason why Bivol is retracting his statement and staying quiet after all his social media antics. If he was serious, it’s an easy fight to make, and he knows it (both fighters have fought on DAZN). I’m also hearing (**Joshua**) **Buatsi**’s name in the mix, but I would absolutely destroy him. All these guys talk the talk but rarely walk the walk. I am a Mexican warrior; everybody knows the way we are built!»

Other potential contenders in the mix, excluding the reigning world champions, may include **Badou Jack**, **Eleider Alvarez**, **Maxim Vlasov** (Ramirez defeated him as super middleweights), in **Lyndon Arthur**.

“My time will come, Ramirez concluded. “I know Golden Boy is working hard on making this a reality and when that time comes, all these guys will have nowhere to run or hide. I leave who I fight next up to my matchmaker, Robert Diaz. I trust that Golden Boy will do whatever is best for my career.

“I’m not frustrated, this is part of the process. I’m a veteran in this game. Many will talk, but they will fall when it’s time to act. Spet, I trust Golden Boy will do what has been promised and I look forward to what fight they will present me with.”

After reviewing the new CDC government health and mask mandate guidelines for events taking place inside, we have decided to postpone the Box Fan Expo to 2022.

The Box Fan Expo was started to give fans, borci, and the Boxing industry a place to meet each other and celebrate the sport we love and work in. We will reschedule this event when we can safely hold this. The health and safety of all our attendees is our #1 priority.

We are committed to presenting our Boxing Fan Experience with a world-class event and having the champions, current top fighters and hall of fame boxers that you know and love be there to meet and greet their fans.

While we are extremely disappointed with these turns of events, with Covid-19 cases on the rise and the new Delta variant, we felt it is the wisest decision for all of us involved to move this to 2022.

41-0 Gilberto “Ljevak” Ramirez all in for WBC Interim World light heavyweight clash with “Sir” Marcus Browne

LAS VEGAS (Januar 14, 2021) — The first super middleweight world champion of Mexican decent, neporažen **Gilberto “Ljevak” Ramirez** (41-0, 27 Kos) is all in for a potential World Boxing Council (WBC) Interim light heavyweight World title fight against 2012 U.S.. Olympian **“Sir” Marcus Browne** (23-1, 16 Kos).

The WBC ordered Ramirez vs. Browne this past Monday because reigning WBC light heavyweight World champion **Artur Beterbiev** (15-0, 15 Kos) hasn’t defended his title since capturing it October 18, 2019, due to getting COVID-19 during training camp, as well as for other pandemic related restrictions. Beterbiev is also the reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight World champion.

Ramirez is the No. 1 light heavyweight contender in the WBC ratings, while Browne is ranked No. 4. Team Zurdo and Team Browne have until February 5^th to work out a deal before it’ll go to purse bid. Martinez is promoted by his own company, Zurdo Promotions, while Browne is represented by PBC.

“This is an interesting opportunity and I’m ready to fight anyone in the light heavyweight division to leave my mark on the sport,” Ramirez said. “I know Marcus has been out of the ring for a while, but he’s a U.S. Olympian and still one of the best in the game. I know he’s wanted this fight for a while and hopefully we can make something happen.

Browne’s last fight was August 3, 2019, when he suffered his first loss as a professional to former world champion **Jean Pascal**(33-6-1) via an eight-round technical decision, after Browne suffered a severe cut over his left eye from an accidental head-butt.

“There are always challenges to making a fight become reality,” Ramirez concluded, “but me being both the fighter and sole promoter, I’m flexible on the common problems that takes to make a fight. I’m not sure how much time Marcus will need to be ready, but both time and location can be determined when the other preliminary items are agreed upon. LAS VEGAS (Februar 27, 2020) – Undefeated super lightweightKendo “Tremendo” Castaneda (17-0, 8 Kos) flew into Orlando from his native San Antonio this past Tuesday night on his first visit to Florida.

Alamo, 24, is the former World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth World and FECARBOX super lightweight champion, who has made three successful NABO title defenses.

“After this fight,” Castaneda concluded, “people are going to forget this Alamo (not the famous Alamo in Castaneda’s hometown) and remember me, The Tremendous One. I expect the fight t to end in a spectacular knockout in my favor, late in the fight, because I like to punish my opponent.”

NEW YORK – February 24, 2020 – Undefeated rising prospect Keith “The Bounty” Hunter will face talented Sanjarbek “War” Rakhmanov in a rematch in the 10-round super lightweight *ShoBox: New Generation* main event Friday, Februar 28 živijo na Showtime (10:45 p.m. ET / PT) from Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas.
