BETHLEHEM, PA. (Ebrill 20, 2016) – Ivan Redkach (19-1-1, 15 Kos) ac Luis Cruz (22-4-1, 16 Kos) fought to a split draw and both scored knockdowns Dydd Mawrth night in an exciting main event on Hyrwyddwyr Bocsio Premier (PBC)DYDD MAWRTH TRAED-TO-TRAED ar FS1 a Hyrwyddwyr Bocsio on FOX Deportes from Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Yf.
In early action, Cruz began to establish his straight right hand when he knocked Redkach off balance and sent him to the canvas in round two. The Puerto Rican veteran controlled much of the early rounds with that right hand, great movement and overall boxing ability.
Redkach was aggressive throughout, taflu 602 punches over the 10-round bout to Cruz’s 485. Fodd bynnag, Cruz’s 33 percent connect rate was good enough for him to dominate the first half of the fight.
Y 2008 Ukranian Olympian began to find a landing zone for his big left hand as the fight wore on and late in round eight he landed one cleanly on Cruz that dropped him hard. Redkach was then awarded a controversial knockdown in an explosive ninth round when Cruz fell to the mat on what he said was a slip as a result of a push.
Both men emptied the tank in the final round knowing that one punch could change the outcome of the fight and ended with several flurries. The scores after 10 rounds were razor thin at 94-93 for Redkach, 94-93 Cruz and 94-94, resulting in the split draw.
The co-main event of the evening featured a fast pace brawl that saw unbeaten prospect Immanuel Aleem (16-0, 9 Kos) earn a hard fought victory over Jonathan Cepeda (17-2, 15 Kos) in their eight-round middleweight contest.
Aleem and Cepeda traded power punches all fight long, with Cepeda taking the brunt of the punishment as he was out landed 272 i 107. Aleem was superior in all regards as he also landed an impressive 42 y cant o gyfanswm ei punches.
Cepeda refused to surrender however and used a powerful right hook to occasionally stun Aleem. The still unbeaten prospect was always able to return any punishment and then some, winning by the score of 79-73 ar bob un o'r tri beirniaid’ cardiau sgorio.
In the televised opener unbeaten middleweight prospects collided as Castillo Iau (10-0, 9 Kos) earned a unanimous decision over Kyrone Davis (10-1, 4 Kos) in a competitive eight-round affair.
The Delaware-native Davis was impressive early with his movement and boxing abilities but the southpaw Castillo was soon able to time his opponent and land left hands to the head and body.
Yn y bedwaredd rownd, Castillo hurt and dropped Davis in the middle of the round with a left hand after an exchange. Neither man allowed the other to gain too much momentum throughout the remainder of the fight, but it was Castillo’s output advantage of 117-92 that bettered Davisaccuracy advantage of 36 percent to 30 y cant.
Castillo won the decision by scores of 78-73, 77-74 ac 76-75.
Dyma beth oedd gan y diffoddwyr i'w ddweud Dydd Mawrth:
IVAN REDKACH
I think I won, but it was a good fight.
The knockdown I suffered was me losing my balance. I felt I controlled the fight because I knocked him down twice. I thought I could have stopped him after the first knockdown.
I am not going to argue with the decision but I feel I won the fight.
LUIS CRUZ
I thought the last knockdown was a slip. That was the difference between the draw and my win.
“Yr wyf yn brifo ef. I had the power. I tried to work round-by-round. I feel that I won six rounds and that the knockdown cost me the win.
I thought I fought well. The draw was better than a loss. Why not a rematch? He is strong and dangerous. He hits hard but I know I am better than him.
IMMANUWEL ALEEM
He was a tough guy. I hit him with some good shots but he kept his ground. I respect that.
I was trying to take my time to get him out. I was being hasty. I was trying to get him every chance I got but he was tough. I am a student of the game and I was taking my time.
My manager George Peterson has a resume of building up Paul Williams and I trust what he has in store for me. He knows what I am capable of doing. We will go after everybody, just like Paul did.
JUNIOR CASTILLO
It was a very good fight. I had some difficulty at first but I felt confident that I would be victorious.
I kept consistent with my game plan and I was able to knock him down. I thought I would be able to finish him but I got too wild.
It feels good to defeat an undefeated prospect and also go the distance. I have never gone the distance before.
I want some kind of title fight. My confidence is much higher right.
KYRONE DAVIS
I felt like it was a good fight. I feel like I won. I thought the crowd swayed the judges. I felt like I won but that’s how it goes sometimes.
“78-73 was too wide. I controlled the first two rounds. He crossed over and hit me with a good shot. He may have won the knockdown round and the last round.
If he gives me a rematch, I would love it. This is just a minor setback. I will improve after this fight and I will move forward.

Douglas started to turn up the heat up in round two as he landed two hard left hooks that stopped De Alba in his tracks. De Alba was able to gain confidence in round three, as he was able to counter effectively against Douglas.
Round five had the best two-way action of the first half of the fight with both guys digging deep to gain an advantage. Douglas seemed to get the better of the exchanges as he landed the harder combinations. Douglas began to take over the middle rounds and in round eight, a left hook rocked De Alba and put him in danger for this first time in the fight.
The two fought hard down the stretch and excited the crowd with Douglas winning in the end by majority decision by scores of 97-93, 96-94 ac 95-95.
Yn y digwyddiad cyd-main, Miguel Cruz (12-0, 11 Kos) remained perfect by scoring a seventh-round stoppage over Virgil Green (11-4, 3 Kos) in a scheduled eight-round welterweight battle.
Cruz was dominant throughout the fight and in round four he rocked Green with a left hook that had his opponent stumbling into the corner. In round seven, Cruz landed a perfect right and left hook that put Green down.
Sensing his moment, Cruz quickly finished the deal with two hard lefts that forced referee Benjy Esteves to stop the fight at 1:32 of round seven. Cruz’s power punches proved to be most dangerous as he connected on 46 percent of them.
Yn yr agoriad ar y teledu, Christopher Brooker (7-1, 5 Kos) worked hard and earned an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Leo Hall in a light heavyweight bout.
Brooker controlled most of the action and came out with a strong first round landing some solid punches in close on Hall. Yn rownd pump, Brooker landed a solid combination that sent Hall back to the ropes and had him in trouble. He was far more accurate throughout the night, glanio 49 percent of his total punches and 53 y cant o'i punches pŵer.
In his strongest moment of the fight in round seven, Brooker landed a perfect right on the chin that drew a big reaction from crowd. The judges scored the fight 80-72 ac 79-73 twice all for Brooker.
Dyma beth oedd gan y diffoddwyr i'w ddweud Dydd Mawrth:
OMAR DOUGLAS
“Rwy'n teimlo'n wych. I got some great rounds. The judges might have made it a little bit closer than it really was. But I went into his hometown and did what I do.
He was about as tough as my last fight. The only thing tougher than the last one was that I had to come here on the road and do it.
This builds me. It makes me a better fighter. I had a great opportunity tonight and I jumped on it. I feel like I’m the better fighter and tonight I proved it.
FRANK DEALBA
It was a very competitive fight. I think I landed more punches. He was more aggressive, but I was landing more.
This is boxing. I just come here to put on a show for the great fans. I thought I won the fight. I knew I beat him inside.
MIGUEL CRUZ
“Roedd yn frwydr fawr, he was a tough opponent who was very agile and mobile. I had to be patient and it was great to get those rounds. I’m coming for the 147-pound division.
I was definitely trying to break him down slowly. He was mobile, but I didn’t expect him to be so quick.
I was hurting him every time I hit him and I finally got him out of there.
VIRGIL GREEN
The hits to the back of the head were the problem. I wanted the ref to do something about it but that’s what hurt me. I never recovered from it.
I felt like I was frustrating him and out-boxing him. But I never recovered from that blow.
CHRISTOPHER BROOKER
“Roedd yn frwydr yn dda. Ei fod yn focsiwr da, but I had to keep it rough. He has some good experience that kicked in, but my will, my heart and my training kicked in too.
My loss is what got me motivated for this performance. No more setbacks, only get backs.
LEO HALL
I tried to work, We were working in there. I wasn’t surprised by anything. Roedd yn frwydr yn dda.
I pushed myself. We got in there and fought. Does dim esgusodion. We’re going back to work.
