Esho Comes from Behind to Stop Abbruzzese In Three Exciting Rounds

Warrior’s Boxing’s revived “Windy City Fight Night” continued its growth en sábado night in Chicago, as the largest crowd yet watched a seven-bout card at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
In the thrilling main event, Chicago junior middleweight Achour Esho (13-0, 8 KOs) had to survive a nearly disastrous first round to stop crosstown rival Anthony Abbruzzese (4-6, 3 KOs) in three.
Abbruzzese came out blazing in the first, culminating in a sustained barrage of punches that could have easily led to a stoppage. To Esho’s credit, he survived and walked wearily to his stool.
The fight changed, sin embargo, en la segunda ronda, as a miraculously revived Esho bit down on his mouthpiece and started throwing hard shots. One of them dropped a surprised Abbruzzese, who arose on shaky legs, only to be dropped again before round’s end.

Two more Warriors Boxing prospects were in action that night, as undefeated Josh Hernandez (5-0, 4 KOs) of Chicago figured out the puzzle that is Thomas Smith (3-3-1, 2 KOs) of Dallas over six calculating featherweight rounds. Finding it difficult to trap the elusive Smith, Hernandez still did enough to win a clear unanimous decision by scores of 60-54 dos veces y 59-55.
And in another scorching slugfest, Chicago lightweight Jessica McCaskill (3-1, 2 KOs) pounded out an exciting unanimous decision over battle-hardened Puerto Rican Carla Torres (5-4), now fighting out of Cleveland. McCaskill’s advantages in size, strength and power eventually took over the back-and-forth battle. Al final, the scores were 39-37 por los tres jueces.

En un movimiento histórico, Warriors Boxing anuncia con orgullo el fichaje de su primera luchadora femenina, Jessica “CasKILLA” McCaskill a un contrato promocional.
McCaskill (2-1, 2 KOs) es un peso ligero de gran potencia originario de St. Louis, ahora vive en Chicago y entrena con la conocida figura de boxeo de Windy City, Rick Ramos.
“Firmar este trato es muy emocionante,” dijo McCaskill. “Es el primer paso de muchos hacia un título mundial. Tengo muchas ganas de pelear internacionalmente y convertirme en una fuerte presencia femenina y ayudar a recuperar el boxeo femenino por completo.”
La mujer de 32 años dice que comenzó en el boxeo como una rudo toletero, confiando únicamente en su increíble fuerza natural. Pero casi tres años de trabajo con Ramos han traído un cambio significativo.

Windy City Fight Nights Return to Chicago on Saturday, Octubre 1

En Sábado, Octubre 1, 2016, en el UIC Pavilion en Chicago, Warriors Boxing Promotions will resurrect the legendary “Windy City Fight Nights” series of boxing shows with an event featuring a pair of unbeaten locals in separate co-main-events.
Headlining the first Windy City Fight Night en cuatro años will be super lightweight Ramiro “El Lobito” Carrillo (11-0, 7 KOs) and super welterweight Achour Esho (11-0, 7 KOs) in eight-round (Carrillo) and six-round (Esho) bouts against opponents to be announced.
“I’m very happy and excited to be fighting in the co-main event. I’ve fought in several Windy City Fight Nights and had some great fights. I’m eager to get that rush back that I felt going to war in Chicago in front of my hometown family and friends. This is why I came back to boxing. I want to have big, peleas emocionantes,” said Achour Esho.
“I’ve been working very hard for a long time and I’m happy it’s finally coming true. I’ve been dreaming about fighting in a main event in my hometown and it’s finally here. It’s my time to shine. I have a lot of family friends and fans coming out to watch me,” said Ramiro Carrillo.
Also appearing in four-round bouts will be thus-far perfect super featherweight Josh Hernandez (3-0, 3 KOs) de Chicago; lightweight Jose Romero (1-2) of Whiting, Indiana; super middleweight Ruben Schobitz 1-0, 1 KO of Miami via Spain; Chicago lightweight Jessica McCaskill (1-1, 1 KO) and Chicago’s Yousif Saleh will make his professional debut.
